Oh, and Sandra Palmer is really starting to annoy me. I'm glad her boyfriend told her like it is. She actually argued that, even though there were terrorists being detained w/ him, that they were being held illegally and needed to be set free. So glad she listened to him.

I knew it! I freakin KNEW that was Stephen Merchant! As soon as he came on screen i was like, "Is that Stephen Merchant? Holy crap!" I want to see more from him this season, even if they're small little scenes like, "Uh, here's your coffee, Bill." ha ha

I have been loving these episodes and i love your recaps b/c you basically say what is on my mind when i watch them. I was a little depressed when Jack killed Curtis. I, too, thought he would just shoot him in the leg or something, but kill him? Really? I was absolutely shocked! Stupid Curtis, not trusting Jack. I understand why Curtis wanted revenge, but they need Assad to get rid of Fayed and you'd think Curtis would consider that of higher priority than his revenge. I guess the straw that broke the camel's back was that Assad was going to be pardoned. Sigh. Farewell, Curtis :(

I definitely agree about the not negotiating w/ terrorists comment you made. Doesn't Palmer realize that, even if he does set the terrorists free for Fayed that Fayed would still continue the attacks? If that's the case, and he knows this since he did mention that to Tom, wouldn't it be better just dealing w/ Fayed's inevitable attacks than to deal w/ Fayed's inevitable attacks AND more attacks from more terrorists that he has freed? I suppose Palmer meant well since he figured it would give them more time to find Fayed, etc. but still...just doesn't add up.

On a final note, the whole fighting thing between Milo and Morris: what the heck?! I realize that they are fighting over Chloe, but aren't there more pressing matters at hand?! Morris, just listen to Milo (as annoying as he is) for the good of the freakin country, please?!

Anyway, LOVE the recaps! You do such a good job! Can't wait until next Monday!

jack really had no other choice but to shoot Curtis in the throat. that area and his face were the only part of his body visible. the rest was covered. so there was no possibility for a non-substantial injury.
gonna miss that kid. =(

this is going to be an interesting year and i love it!

Great recap, LaLa. I sure hope you're right, and Mr-suddenly-president-obviously-from-a-sympathy-vote-because-of-the-assassination-of-his-beloved-brother, Wayne Palmer, is finally growing a spine, not to mention some COMMON SENSE!

you should NOT negotiate with terrorist masterminds who are currently attacking your country.

No Joke. This was quite the season premiere. I really didn't think that Jack would shoot Curtis. By far the most gripping moment of the premiere. Looks like 24 will not dissapoint this season.
