Adorkable John Krasinski & Adam Brody in 'Smiley Face' - Give Me My Remote : Give Me My Remote

Adorkable John Krasinski & Adam Brody in ‘Smiley Face’

January 23, 2007 by

John Krasinki & Adam Brody

The two most adorkable boys on the planet, John Krasinski (The Office) and Adam Brody (The O.C.) star along side Anna Farris, Danny Masterson and John Cho in Smiley Face,  a new movie that just premiered at Sundance.

Based on the trailer, Smiley Face is a full on stoner flick in the spirit of Harold & Kumar (which was hysterical).  The movie follows a day in the life of Jane (Farris) who tries to get through her day after smoking just a teensy bit too much weed.

Krasinski goes full on Dwight Schrute in this one, complete with the terrible hair and nerdy glasses.  Was it necessary?  No…but you know it’s meant to be when I can embrace John’s inner geek.

GMMR reader Emily caught the movie at Sundance and said it was really funny.  She made the mistake of telling me that JKras is shirtless in this one (and here we thought we had to wait until this summer’s “License to Wed” to see that).  I made the mistake about asking more about the shirtless scene.  Emily tell me that…um, it takes place in a shower (cheers) but um, hmmm, uh, well you see it’s uh, he’s doing something…well let’s just say that he plays a LONELY nerd boy.

Here’s the trailer:

Screw the trailer. Where’s the screen shots of Jkran without the shirt? What’s he been hiding under those buttoned up shirts and generic ties?

wait…GMMR…do you mean masturbation? I don’t know if you can condone people attending such a film.

Ohhh, Nerdy John. How awesome 🙂 I agree w/ Lindsay, we need screenshots! I love Krasinski, but this movie…looks stupid. If i saw it, it would only be for Krasinski (of course).

Uh, I remember Jenna saying something about John being shirtless in an upcoming movie, but do not recall her mentioning any specific uh, activities. *blinks*

I’ll be in my bunk. 😛

One of my friends saw it at Sundance and said it was okay. He said the party was great afterward though but sorry Kath, no JKras sightings.

I’m still trying to decide if I actually liked the movie or not. Truth is, I felt like I was the one stoned after watching it! But it did have some hysterical moments and JKras was definitely my favorite part (surprise!). I really can’t help but love something even a little bit if he’s in it! 😉

Anna Faris is making her rounds with The Office cast. I finally got around to renting My Super Ex-Girlfriend where her character and Rainn’s work together.

I think the most skin we’ve ever seen of JKras was in the New Wave trailer (is that movie ever going to be released?), yeah I’d pay to see him with less than that undershirt.
