Behind the Scenes of LICENSE TO WED

LIcense to wed

If you missed last night’s airing of HBO First Look: License to Wed don’t fret, HBO is replaying it a few times over the next week. Click here to find out when it will be airing again. If you don’t have HBO at all, then you’re screwed…aw, just kidding. Someone was kind enough to let me know where you can watch the program online. (Part 1 | Part 2)

There’s no doubt that I will be seeing this movie on opening day, but if I’m being honest I wasn’t sure how funny it would be. I knew I would be enjoying the “visuals”, but would I be laughing? Well, I will say that after seeing more of the film in last night’s behind the scenes take, I’m more excited than ever. I think it’s going to be a fun and funny movie. And JKras…seriously? Seriously. Swoon!!

Thanks to ddker!

I thought the same thing! I was sure that it wouldn’t be as funny as I was hoping it would be, but then I watched the first look last night and I’m totally surprised! It looks great!
Also, as someone who loves happy endings, I was almost glad to have the ending spoiled for me. Its like how it is easier to watch Season 3 episodes now that I know it will end well. 🙂

That was really funny stuff. I thought this movie was going to suck, but it actually looks great. I’m not saying this because I’m such a fan of John’s but I honestly do think he is going to save this movie.

Thanks GMMR (and Denise) for this – I’m really looking forward to seeing this but I have to say that I think I spoiled myself by watching this behind the scenes show – it makes me feel like I’ve already seen most of the movie! But it looks like it could be good anyway, so I’ll definitely still watch it. Plus I do love that it so many other Office cast members in it, along with John!

    SPOILERS!!!!

Didn’t watch the above referenced info but I saw the movie on Wednesday. John was fantastic! But the rest of the movie wasn’t the best rom-com. Maybe it’s my thing against established religion, but I could not understand why Mandy Moore’s character just did whatever Reverend Frank asked with no qualms. The first time I laughed was when Brian said, “potatoes down, POTATOES DOWN! HELP!!” All the antics were cute but John was too good for this movie. Mandy Moore’s character was pretty boring (never saw “Because I Say So” but this character reminds me of the same character in the commercials, ugh) and the beginning didn’t give the audience enough time to invest in the leads’ relationship. It was a bit predictable, which many rom-coms are as of lately.

All in all, if I were to mark in stars, I’d give it three thumbs up! (There’s a conversion chart in the back of the notebook) OK, I’ll be clearer, 3 out of 5 stars. Liked it, not loving it.
