Friday Night Lights on DVD

Get thee to a store on August 28th and pick up the first season of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS on DVD. It’s time to catch up on the best drama that you’re not watching (which just happens to be the best drama on television). The 5-disc set is rumored to be priced at a mere $29.98, so there’s not excuse as to why you can’t afford to but it.There aren’t a ton of bonus features, but I’ll take what I can get:

  • 1.78:1 Anamorphic Widescreen
  • English DD5.1 Surround
  • English SDH subtitles
  • Deleted Scenes (on all 5 discs for a total of 19 episodes)
  • Behind The Lights: Creating The First Season of Friday Night Lights

Check out the menus from Disc One.

Okay, how is this show not more popular?!
Hot guys, hot girls, plus really good storylines what more to people want?! Hopefully the DVD sales will be off the charts so we’re guaranteed a full 2nd season.

Yes! I will be first in line for the dvd, no doubt…and some family members may be getting them as gifts, heh. Anything to help sales. And only 29.98? Sweet, especially seeing as I just paid almost 70 bucks for Deadwood dvd’s.

I’m so excited to get this DVD set of my favorite drama! It’s too bad there are no commentaries (at least from what we know), but I agree – I’ll take what we can get and just hope that this helps the show get more viewers in the fall. Hopefully if/when FNL gets some Emmy noms it will also lead to more people buying the DVD and getting into the show.
