Welcome Back Fall TV…FINALLY!!

Welcome Back Fall TV…FINALLY!!

I know you can’t see me, but I’m doing my happy dance right now (actually it’s awesome that you can’t see me because I’m a horrible dancer…and I haven’t yet showered today and my hair is a mess).  Welcome to Fall TV Season, y’all.  Over the next few weeks most of our favorite shows will be back on TV with all new episodes.  Networks will be rolling out their new Fall shows and will be frantically checking the overnight ratings on their crackberrys to see which of their shows have found their audience ($$$) or which have failed miserably and will be immediately pulled from the air never getting the chance to find an audience. This is the most exciting time of year for a TV fan. The shows you’ve waited all summer to return will be back soon, and then there’s all the newbies for you to check out.  Will there be a breakout hit like HEROES or LOST? Which new show will be the biggest bomb of the season? Ah, the anticipation of it all. So much TV and only so many TiVos in one person’s house.

If you could see my apartment right now you might think I was running a blackmarket Netflix up in here.  DVDs are piling up all around me to the point I’m feeling completely overwhelmed by the stuff I haven’t watched.  That’s pretty sad as I’ve watched a sickening amount of TV over the past few weeks.  But with the networks sending out the final versions of their Fall pilots, and screeners for returning shows, it amazing that I’m getting any sleep.  And just to prove how busy I am, I have had the S2 premiere of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS sitting on my table for 3 days now and haven’t watched it….crazy, right?! But I have watched ALL the new fall shows and some of our returning favorites and I’ll be working as much as I can to post all the information as soon as possible.

To that end, I’m constantly updating my GMMR Fall TV Preview. I’ve added a handy link to my Fall TV Preview page at the top of the site so keep checking back to see when news shows are added. I’ve also created a Fall TV grid that lets you see what’s on every night of the week – hopefully it will be helpful when planning your Fall schedule.

So who’s with me?  Who else is super excited for the official beginning of the Fall TV Season?  What returning favorites are you most excited about seeing, and what newbies have made it on to your Fall TV radar?

I’m with Ya! Of course I’m most excited for The Office, hands down! But I am also excited for Heroes, HIMYM, and FNL (I’m almost done catching up w/the first season). New shows I’m anticipating: Chuck, Bionic Woman, Pushing Daisies, and Private Practice.

I can’t believe the time has finally come…I don’t think I’m quite prepared for how crazy the next three weeks will be with all the premieres!! And I know I bitch about this all the time, but I don’t have DVR or Tivo so I have some tough tough decisions ahead of me. I guess I can always hope that I end up not liking some of the new stuff so I don’t have to decide. But I’ve watched the pilots for Chuck, Gossip Girl, Bionic Woman, Pushing Daisies, K-Ville, and Life, and so far, nothing has disappointed.

I’d like to wish everyone a Happy Back to REAL TV Monday!!

I’m definitely with you GMMR. Of course I’m most anticipating the return of The Office, followed by Friday Night Lights. Also excited to see Kristen Bell and David Anders on Heroes. As for new shows, I really can’t wait for Chuck – I saw the pilot and loved it! Zach Levi is defintely going to be a breakout star. I’m really curious to see Pushing Daisies and Bionic Woman as well. I’m not too excited about Private Practice, though – I already have lost interest in Grey’s, but I do like Kate Walsh, so I might check it out (though I really did not like the “pilot” last May).

I’m so jealous that you have FNL’s season premiere and haven’t yet watched it. I’ll watch it for you if you need me to! 😉

I cannot believe it’s been a year! I remember last fall when we were speculating on Smith, and whatever that bank robbery one was…. wasn’t there a brain surgery one in there too???

Well anyway, I think this year’s line up looks much more promising and I am personally counting down the days until The Office. Think I might have to redo my myspace page again to honor the holiday. Holla to Office Thursdays!

In case people don’t know yet, Amazon.com is offering FREE downloads of the pilots of Chuck, Journeyman, Life, Bionic Woman, and The Big Bang Theory.
So, yes, I have seen Chuck and it was good.
But I hate the fact that Chuck, Prison Break, and HIMYM are all on at the same time. I don’t watch anything on Tuesday. Couldn’t something move there?
I really want to see the Reaper pilot.

I’m so excited for The Office to begin I think I just peeed a little..
I’m looking forward to see if Chuck will stay as good as the pilot was also.
