Title: “Call Waiting”
Original Airdate: 10.1. 2007

I don’t want to be so bold as to call this a full recap of last night’s PRISON BREAK, but I think it will do.

WOW! Michael Scofield in struggling to keep it together. He’s like a little boy lost within the walls of Sona. Homeboy needs a hug…and some air conditioning. You gotta know that Wentworth Miller is pissed that he has to wear long sleeves everyday in that Texas heat. Poor guy. Anyway, Michael is still stuck in Sona and he’s still charged with breaking Whistler out of prison and neither men know why. Mahone is still friending for the drugs and he’s going to hurt someone if he doesn’t get them….soon.

Lincoln is on the outside and doing what, I’m just not sure.  He doesn’t seem to be doing much to help Michael Sara or LJ these days.  Sucre comes to him for some money and help and Lincoln turns him away.  Oh no you didn’t – I love me some Sucre.  I’m banking on him to be crucial to breaking Michael out in the future – just you watch.

Most of last night’s story was around Michael whining and sinveling about Dr. Tequila Tancredi. Um Michael…did you also forget that your nephew is also being held hostage? A little love fo LJ, please – the boy has had it rough as of late. And what about the body double and horrible voice over they had for the departed Sara (formerly played by Sarah Wayne Callies). That was just pathetic and insulting especially in light of the alleged reports that it was Fox’s choice to let Callies go. (More on the Sarah Wayne Callies debacle later today).

Michael needs to break Whislter out but he’s insisting that he talks to Sarah first.  In order to do this he needs to steal the only cell phone in all of Sona which just so happens to belong to Lechero.  So wait, Michael needed to talk to Sarah?  Why couldn’t Lincoln do it? I’m sure it was so the writers could get Michael’s little “I love you” speech in there, but we know Sarah’s gone, so what’s the point.  But I digress (per usual). Under the threat of Michael revealing T-Bag’s past indiscretions to the rest of Sona, T-Bag helps Michael to steal the cell phone. It was nice to see Michael and T-Bag working together again. T-Bag is evil like no other character on TV that I can remember, but he’s played so well by Robert Knepper that you almost feel for the guy and his desperation – now that’s good acting. I’m ready for Michael to put a plan together though. He’s just sitting around in Sona and it’s getting a little boring. He’s got Whistler, he’s got Mahone – use them and do something!!

Ok, so Mike nabs the cell phone and talks to Sarah.  They speak in their “special code” (which could easily be figured out by one of those kids on “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader) and Michael figures out where they are being held captive.  He tells Lincoln who is off to try to find them.

Lincoln – you are really starting to annoy me. How about you put a little more effort into helping Michael and in turn your son & Sara. How about when Michael had the cell phone last night for only a few minutes and Lincoln was taking a leisurely stroll on his way to see Susan B. Anthony. Did you not hear he only had a few minutes?! Pick up the pace already. And how about later when Michael told Lincoln that since he was having no luck inside the prison, Linc might need to break out Sara & LJ on his own – did you see the shocked look on Lincoln’s face? So Michael broke Lincoln and a bunch of other guys out of a maximum security prison and Lincoln can’t steal Sara & LJ away from a couple of thugs. Come on now!!

Oh and there was also something about that book that Lincoln stole from Sofia.  It belonged to Whistler and contained some information that those on the outside want from him.  I couldn’t really follow…but do I need to really?

Despite its inconceivable plot lines, I’m still loving me some Prison Break. What about you?

I love this show but I agree it is starting to get even more far-fetched. I feel like the first season was Michael with all the answers. Second was Michael and Linc together thinking on their feet with some answers…and now the Third is both brothers with zero answers. I just hope they can pull it together. Robert Kneppers is such an awesome actor. I am always impressed with what he can do with Tbag’s character…Sucre will definately be a key player in whatever happens next. I just want to know what was in the box, and if it is Sarah I think thats pretty weak. I would like to see Sarah go down fighting…not just killed off by these kidnappers as a “threat” to Lincoln & Michael. Lame.

The whole hiding Sarah behind her own wig thing was so insulting. I’m ready for her to die so they don’t have to pull that gag anymore.

As for as the bird book goes, I may have misunderstood the situation as well, but it seems to me Michael should have said, “Hey Linc, you have this book that is pretty much what the bad guys are looking for. How bout you use it to bargain Sarah and LJ out of this hostage situation.” Did I totally misinterpret the significance of the book?

As much as the Sarah thing is lame (it’s her head in the box, you just know it) and Linc doing nothing but sweating his ass off (did you notice the ass sweat?) Sucre geting his drink on and Mike and Mahone freaking out? It still had me on the edge of my seat. I will be super pissed that Sarah went out with a sniffle and not fighting for her life (I just read the French mag thing on Just Jared) and I am over the Michael whispering thing. But MyGyver Mike is back next week! Yeah!

GMMR – What do you think about the article on Just Jared? Do you think its credible?

Here is the link for those who havent read it yet.

PB just isn’t holding my interest as much this year 🙁 I’ll keep watching it but it isn’t “must see tv” for me anymore. I miss Sara! Linc is such a lunkhead; Michael would be doing much better at finding LJ and “Sara” if he was on the outside. I was over Linc in S2. And I hate the nondescript Caribbean accents of the Sona meanines – c’mon! Racist much? Yeah, that and continually calling Michael white makes me laugh at the racial politics of the show.

The ending of last night’s ep. totally ripped from the movie Seven.

You know, one of the reasons PB did so well in season 1 was the chemestry between Michael and Sarah. I really wanted to see them together. You’d think they’d have kept the actress around to keep the interest and if the reports are correct, that’s pathetic. They obviously don’t know why so many people watched PB. I was mad at SWC for leaving the show, but now I don’t know who to be mad at.
