I had to write just to say I am so glad you liked “Moonlight.” It’s one of my favorites this season and I think it’s gonna get better and better every week. The show has such wonderful actors with Sophia Myles (whom I adore) and Alex O’Loughlin (who is the reason I wanted to watch the show initially).

And I totally agree about the big finish, it’s an interesting way to set up the show. Every week it actually pays off to watch.

I freakin’ love both Jason Dohring and Sophia Myles and will watch anything they’re in but other than that, I think it’s a really good show. I wasn’t sold until the second episode, like you…but I’m in for the haul now.

Please keep talking about Brothers & Sisters! It’s quickly become one of my “must see” shows. I definitely expect to see this cast nominated for a SAG Award this coming year, as they are all phenomenal! Really . . . not a mediocre performance in the bunch.

I do agree with a previous comment, however, about hoping the show stays more oriented towards family drama vs. spotlighting political agendas.

Thank you so much for introducing me to Friday Night Lights. I watched the premiere on Friday and thought it was pretty good so I went online to watch the first season (because some things didn’t make sense). Guess what. Yesterday I watched FOUR episodes of Veronica Mars (from my season 1 DVD set), THIRTEEN episodes of Friday Night Lights, and the newest episode of Brothers and Sisters. geez, GMMR. you’ve gotten me obsessed! Love ya.

Moonlight: I tried… I just could not bring myself to watch it anymore. The pilot was just so bad for me that I had to distract myself with other things to get through it. Even though I ADORE Jason Dohring; that’s not even enough.

Friday Night Lights: I love it of course!! Can’t wait ’til Friday

Brothers & Sisters: Of course I’m watching! The car scene was amazing and Justin just about made me cry… it just broke my heart. I wanted to give him a hug but that darn TV screen got in the way!

Loved FNL, as usual! Of course I wasn’t so crazy about the ending with Tyra and Landry, but I just hope the writers have a way to deal with it in a way that is not like The OC or One Tree Hill – that is not what FNL is about! I was up in arms about it when I first saw that storyline, but I’ll hold back on further judgment until we see how it plays out. I’m definitely looking forward to this Friday’s episode – I’m so happy it’s back and I love the Taylors!

I do watch Brothers & Sisters also and enjoy it, so definitely keep talking about it, GMMR! I love that Rob Lowe is on the show, but I fear that things might get a bit too heavy handed with political issues, especially with his character running for President. I definitely don’t mind issues being part of the characters’ discussions from time to time, but this isn’t The West Wing. I like the family drama better.

I watched the premier episode of Moonlight, but there were a few too many scenes that seemed overdramatic (like silly od) and the acting from the lead female was just…not good. I actually wanted to like it, being a BtVS and Angel fan, but I couldn’t get into it. If you keep saying it’s worth it though, I might give it a chance (worked with others on FNL, right?) I do HATE that it’s on at the same time as my show(I’m actually scared about ratings drop for FNL, how pathetic am I?), but I guess I can always tape it. Man, I hate being too poor for tivo sometimes.

I (of course) loved almost every min of FNL, and these actors always seem to bring their A-game. Even with implausible plot lines (god, I hope the murder story is going to work in the long run) all the actors just make it work…in so far as they can. Now I’m just going to cross every apendage I have that the show stays as real and special as it was last year.

Between being brow-beaten all summer to watch FNL, and not having plans this Friday, I watched the season premeire. It was as good a show as everyone has been claiming all along. I’ve loved Kyle Chandler since Homefront (which reminds me: can we start a petition to get that out on DVD?), and I’m officially now a fan.

I love Brothers & Sisters. I’m really enjoying how well Robert has fit in with the Walker family, especially in his bonding with Justin.

I’m also coming around on Moonlight. I think it could eventually end up being really good.

I was sooo excited for the season opener of FNL, and they didn’t let me down. There are character changes that I’m not really loving, but they make sense considering what the characters have gone through (Lyla a born again? Really? And Julie’s being a bitch, which I don’t like, but it probably also understandable). I do love the fact that Landry is still Landry (well, up until the very end…that was very un-Landry). I will be interested to see where they take that story line. Hope they don’t get outlandish in the hopes of generating ratings. We love the show for what is it!! I love that they’ve made Tyra more likable. She’s a fave, also. Hate the new coach (as expected) and can’t wait for him to get fired and for the real coach to come back and fix his family.

Also, have been a B&S fan from the very beginning. I crack up every week at the things the writers come up with (especially when Kevin gets sarcastic). I missed last night’s episode, but have it on DVR. It’s one of my “can’t wait” shows, and rarely disappoints. If you haven’t checked it out yet, give it a shot. Keep talking about it, GMMR!

I really wanted to get into Moonlight – I love Jdoh, after all – but the writing is just so substandard. And I loathe Sophia Myles and her artificial American accent! She seems to spend most of her energy trying to master the accent – so much so that her acting goes out the window. Alex O’Laughlin is definitely a looker, but I am pained to watch two good actors (AO’L & Jdoh) be given such lousy writing. So…I don’t think I’ll continue to watch it, although if I am home on a Friday night, I may peek at it once in a while just to catch Jdoh’s cute mug. THAT is always worth a glance or two.

I watched FNL – LOVE THESE PEOPLE!! I have to agree with the scene where Coach Taylor is telling her he has to go and I can SO feel the woman’s pain and she’s trying not to cry. As someone who’s had a new baby and then having a husband who’s had to go back to work off, I could feel all of that from her. Seriously think the Emmy people need to be shot in the foot so they will notice brilliance when it’s right there on their tv. Hmmmm-maybe that turned into a bit of a rant.

Not loving julie being mean to Matt. I mean – come on. He’s Saracen – what more could the girl want. Teenage girls are so hard to deal with.

I really love Tyra & Landry. Also, not sure about that whole story line, but as someone who didn’t really like Tyra at first, she’s one of my favorites. Of course, if I had been that close to the police station with crazy psycho dude following me, I probably would have slammed on the brakes and let him plow into the back of that pickup. That’s an older model truck, probably wouldn’t even have dented, and maybe old dude’s head would’ve gone through the windshield. just a thought.

Don’t know about Lyla, but didn’t really know about her last year. My heart kind of breaks for Buddy – even though he’s a bit of an ass. And then the man pulling up at his dealership in his truck. I guess he’s lucky he got away.

THe only other show I tried to watch was Moonlight, and i didnt’ think the acting was that good (mostly the girl – Beth?) and I couldn’treally handle it anymore so I cut it off. Maybe I should try again? I don’t know.

I really liked the second episode of Moonlight, but as a fan of Buffy, Angel, and even Forever Night (which is probably the most similar to this one), it isn’t a surprise. I am right in their target audience as a fan of vampire shows, although I probably wouldn’t fit the stereotype. I can’t wait to see where it goes.

I also watched FNL of course, and loved it as usual. I still can’t believe how real they make all of the scenes feel.

I have not watched FNL yet, but I am really excited to finally see the premiere. Damn friends getting married and making me miss my shows.
I did watch Brothers & Sisters last night and I loved it of course…I am really glad that the Rob Lowe curse has not taken affect. I was really happy to see last week that they decided to take Rebecca in a different direction and now this week they are back to making her character a bad person. That makes me sad b/c I was pretty much done with the whole “she’s just like her mother” storyline.

The only thing I watched this weekend was FNL, which I LOVED and am so happy it’s back! Why are Sundays so crappy nowadays? I didn’t watch anything. Oh, I take that back. We watched Curb (that’s the fiance’s show…he likes it when I watch it with him). I would’ve watched Tell Me You Love Me, but I had already watched the episode last week On Demand.

I watched the first season about 3 weeks ago on nbc.com and fell in love with the show so I guess you can say i’m kind of a newbie. I loved the opening sequence – especially the music they were playing and Riggins. I didn’t really like what happened with Tyra and Landry, but like you said, we just have to trust the writers. But I do like them together.

Also, I really hope Saracen and Julie stay together! I thought they were really cute in the first season!!
