omg, just watched the 2nd eppy of Pushing Daisies and LOVED IT!!! I find myself just smiling the whole time I watch it. I haven’t been this smiley at a show since I first discovered The Office. And, as if I wouldn’t love it enough on it’s own, it has Kristin Chenoweth (singing, too) and I adore her. Thanks for promoting it GMMR! I probably wouldn’t have watched except for your recommendations.

I love Kristin Chenoweth. She is from Wicked and I am obsessed with Wicked. It was amazing to here her perform. She has an amazing voice and she is so cute. Love this show and it is all because of GMMR. I probably wouldn’t have watched it without you! Haha! Great show. Can’t wait for next week!

Kristin Chenoworth is soooo good. Heartbreaking, and funny at the same time.
I just don’t see how they can keep up with ideas as fresh and whimsical as the first two episodes over the long haul..
But I’m there for as long as it lasts.

I understand what you mean about your love for this show: I want to marry Pushing Daisies and have half-Pushing Daisies, half-human babies! Gah! And usually w/ all the other shows i watch i can give a great recap about the episode, but Pushing Daisies for some reason is different. It’s got so many dimensions and is just too much for me to describe that i can usually only think of one specific scene (or a couple) that i loved but i usually just chalk it up to, “This episode was perfect!”

One of my favorite scenes? Emerson’s knitted vest and gun cozies. Hilarious! This show is perfect!

I love Pushing Daisies too and I was so also obsessing over how close Ned and Chuck came to touching! Even though I know they won’t be touching ever (or, even granting some magical development, a long time from now), I still found myself saying to Ned “You’re standing too close! Step away!” MeeVee pointed out that Ned is now walking all over with his hands clasped behind his back to avoid any accidental brushing, which I didn’t notice, but I think is just unbearably cute. Also, the narration bothered me a lot less this time. In all, I agree – this is a wonderful show!

ok so I am wondering about the dog. Chuck brought him back to life but how long is he going to live? I mean chuck brought him back when he (chuck) was like 9 and the dog was 3? and its been 19 years since then? so does the dog live forever? or whenever the dog dies again of old age or whatever can chuck bring him back again because his touch isn’t what made him die? but the dog still seems pretty young…. not like a dog that has died of old age and then come back. Does anyone have any ideas?

How about the hand-holding at the end? It was cute all on its own, and we got to see them touch, but even more importantly, I think it gave Chuck a much-needed boost. Ned made that car contraption JUST for her, because he knew how much she’d been wanting to ride shotgun…and he even thought to put a hand-holding hole in it! She’s newly alive, she can’t talk to anyone outside of that small circle, and she needs reassurance. He gave it to her. Hurray, Ned! I think we’ll be seeing him come out of his shell even more in future episodes. You know how in some shows we can’t wait for the romantic couple to finally kiss or have sex (HELLO? HOW GLAD AM I THAT YOU CAN FINALLY HERE ME NOW, JIM AND PAM???)? Well, in this show, I think Ned’s “I love you” will be that moment. We know it, he knows it, Chuck probably knows it, they hint at it all the time…but when he finally says it, it will be monumental.

Thank you for posting about Pushing Daisies so quickly after it airs! I love reading what others think about the show, but most take their sweet time.
