Back from the WGA Boston TV Party

December 14, 2007 by

Just getting settled into Starbucks after this morning’s Boston TV Party rally and march in support of the WGA. You can expect a full report tonight or tomorrow, but right now I can hardly move my fingers on this keyboard I am so cold. Weather wise it was treacherous but everyone braved it in the snow to show their support of their favorite shows and writers.

Yes, I did get to meet Joss Whedon. Actually I got to walk and talk with him for awhile. I know it was a bit wasted me as I just watched my first episode of BUFFY last night (which Joss got a big kick out of) but I tried to represent for you all Buffy fans and Browncoats out there.

It was a great turn out, and even more so considering the conditions. I took a ton of pics that I can’t wait to upload and share with you all. Right now Joss Whedon, Rob Kutner (The Daily Show) and Jamie Paglia (Eureka) and having some fun with some fans at a local bookstore here in Cambridge, MA. Although I have the day off, I opted not to go as I have some real-job related stuff to get done.

Wish you all were there…it was a fantastic event!!

Awwww, giiiiiiirl ….. tell me you managed to ask him if Jayne likes his women tall, blue-eyed, and with a fetish for the sci-fi bad boy with a heart of gold (yeah, Han Solo too).

    Hi Kathy!!
The event was so much fun wasn’t it!? it was a joy to take part in such a fantastic cause. And it was so cool to meet you as well! I can’t wait to read your accounts and see your pictures. And you HAVE to watch Buffy at some point! 🙂

It was great to meet you today too, Alicia. My feet thawed and it wasn’t fun. So glad I brought an extra pair of socks with me. How was the pandemonium at Pandemonium?

Not too bad, me and the girl I was with made it to about the middle of the line when we got there which only took about 20-30 minutes to get through. They were so great and signed a few things I brought. 🙂 I don’t many TV people who would do that. Ok, well, I can’t wait to see your pictures and hear your thoughts. You always provide such an insight to the fabulous things you are able to do. If you ever hear about any good events like this while we both in LA let us know!!

    Hi Kathy,

It was great meeting you today. I don’t recall if we exchanged names, but I was “the girl Alicia was with,” and it was great to chat with you! Looking forward to seeing your pictures. I’m going to take your enthusiasm to heart with your site and try to update my review blog a little more often. You’ll see some info (and pics, I hope) up there as well, maybe later tonight. Keep me posted if any other events are in the area!

[…] Or you could join Kath over at GMMR in discovering a series you’ve always wanted to watch but never had the time to spare. She’s finally giving Buffy the Vampire Slayer a chance to win her heart. About time since she’s already done what every Buffy fan dreams of… met and spoken to Joss himself. […]
