SAG Awards Nominations

December 20, 2007 by

The nominations for the 14th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced today. The awards are scheduled to be presented on January 27, 2008. No word yet on what the ceremony will entail in light of the WGA strike.

I agree GMMR – I’m pretty much resigned to the fact that FNL will never get recognized by any awards show, just like Gilmore Girls and Lauren Graham were always snubbed year after year (though I do think Lauren Graham was nominated by the SAGs or some other award show once). But as long as the show stays on the air for years to come and keeps its quality up, I’ll take that over any award.

I’m also disappointed that Lost didn’t get any recognition – maybe it’s the “out of sight, out of mind” syndrome, since it’s been off the air since May. But I am very, very happy that The Office cast was nominated after being passed over by the Golden Globes. There truly is no other cast that is such a great ensemble like The Office cast (and of course I adore each and ever single cast member), so I really hope they get a repeat win and that Steve wins this time as well. Plus if they win this time then Creed, Craig and Ed will also be able to get their own awards!

Just had to correct – I looked at the SAG Awards website and they do not list Melora Hardin or Craig Robinson as part of the ensemble nominated for The Office. I thought they were both considered regular castmembers, no? Creed Bratton and Ed Helms are both on the list, though.

I hope The Office goes in for the repeat! Then Creed could get his since he didn’t get one last year. mg, melora wasn’t on the list? That is sad, especially since I loved her performance in The Job and she was listed as a regular all last season.

I too am dissapointed about FNL. Have i ever thanked you GMMR for talking about it so much? That is the reason I bought the DVDs.

Grrr! How are LOST and FNL getting snubbed in Drama, but Grey’s is still on there? So upsetting.
