So Say We All: Terminator, Brothers & Sisters, The Amazing Race - Give Me My Remote : Give Me My Remote

So Say We All: Terminator, Brothers & Sisters, The Amazing Race

January 14, 2008 by

Did you get to watch all the TV you wanted to last night? My Slingbox came in quite handy and I got to watch almost all the shows I wanted to last night. But I’m interested in what you had to say about last night’s TV.

TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES
TERMINATOR: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Cast
So this is one of the biggest premieres for Fox in quite some time. I’m so interested to know if you all watched and what you thought. Hopefully you’ve had a chance to read my take on the pilot, and you know that I really dug it. It felt like a full on feature film – I mean, those special effects aren’t something you see every week. The good news? Tonight’s second episode is actually better than the pilot. Tonight we will see just how Sarah, John, and Cameron adjust to their new world in the year 2007. We know they’re not safe, but will they at least have a few minutes to take a breather? So folks, did you watch? Let’s hear it…

THE AMAZING RACE
The Amazing Race 12
Let’s not bury the lead here…Nate and Jen are DUNZO! Can I get a Woot! Woot!! By far the most annoying couple this season made just enough mistakes to finally get booted. You know, I really didn’t hate Nate…I think he was a strong competitor whose major mistake was dating Jen and bringing her along on the race. Someone with that little tolerance for stress should never be allowed on this show. Jen’s stubborness and inability to listen to her partner cost them the chance at $1M. Oh well…sucka! So now we have Ron & Christina, Nicolas & Don, and TK & Rachel racing to the finish and the $1M prize. I guess at this point I’m pushing for TK & Rachel, but the way that Ron & Christina have been racing the past two episodes, they clearly deserve it…if only I didn’t despise Ron so much. Nicolas and Don deserve much credit for making it this far if only because Don is old and Nicolas has been running the race for both of them. Sadly I don’t really care who wins at this point. I happen to think that with the exception of the dreadful family edition, this is the most boring season ever of The Amazing Race. What do you think of Nate & Jen getting the boot? Who would you like to see cross the finish line first?

BROTHER & SISTERS

The Walker Family has issues…lots and lots of issues. Most of last night’s episode centered around a traditional Walker family dinner – a recipe for drama and hijinks in and of itself, but even more so when Nora invites Issac (Danny Glover) – her latest crush. Things come to blow when Julia finds out about Tommy’s affair with Lina, but see Julia had an affair to so she can’t really throw stones. And what’s with them saying they’re going to work it out? No they won’t – this is going to come back to haunt them and lead to a divorce…mark my words. I’m personally more interested in when Rebecca is going to learn that David (Ken Olin) is her father and how long after she finds out this news that she will start banging Justin. Now THAT is going to be some Walker family drama I can get into. Another satisfying, if not a tad bit lackluster episode for me. Only two more episodes left and then after that I guess I have to find a new family to booze with on Sunday nights. Was this just the Walker family doing what they do? Besides Dave Annable looking smokin’, what else did you think of last night’s ep?

So spill it…tell me what you thought of last night’s TV. I’ll be in meetings most of the day so I expect to see plenty of thoughts from you kids when I return 😉

I was kind of expecting to hate the Terminator show but i didn’t. You are right when you say it felt like a film. I don’t know if I would watch this every week if there weren’t a strike going on, but I will watch it again tonight. Thanks for letting us know.

I liked The Sarah Connor Chronicles a lot! I wasn’t sure what to expect, since I haven’t seen any of the movies, but it felt like that Alias/Buffy kind of show I’ve been missing.

I actually had the opposite thought about Tommy/Julia–I’m kind of expecting it to be dropped and never mentioned again. (Although if Lena’s still around, that may not happen.) And I wish they’d just clarify the David thing!

But it was my favorite B&S in a long time, so, yay!

I am so freaking glad Jen is gone! Hate her! I hope Nate totally dumps her! I am with you – I don’t care who wins at this point. The Goths are gone so it’s just fun now with not real team to hate. That’s the only net TV I watched. Scott Baio still cracks me up (and reminds me of my brother) and I will admit to watching Rock of Love @ – but not loving it so much this year. Unless he picks the chick that I think is really a dude.

you are brilliant. i was totally thinking that rebecca’s father could be that new guy (can’t recall his name) BUT i never thought of the possibility of her and justin… oh the drama. i love a family that drinks wine like its water. now that’s something i can relate to…
