The man in the cabin(Jacob) is Jacks dad. How do i know? His name is in the credits!!
Sun gets off the island. If u knoticed at the end of series 3 when it shows jack saying all he does is fly hopng it crashes and it has a shot of him on a plane. Sun is in the background in another seat!
Michael is Bens spy on the boat. Michael and walt where taken off the isaland…. to the boat. They havent been mentioned in ages but all of a sudden ben is mentioning a spy and lock is mentioning Walt telling him to do stuff.
Yes the show is based on time travel!!

Update to my time idea: Why did the ship know nothing about the chopper that had left the day before with Desmond and Sayid? I think it’s because of the ever increasing time difference between the boat and the island… they are still in the air on their way.

Remember the warning to the pilot to make sure he stays on the correct path? I think that when you leave the island…the route you take controls “when” not “where” you end up. Who knows where/when Michael and Walt ended up on that boat….

The 31min difference on the clocks shows that time is a factor in all this. I also think that the difference in time depends on how long you are on the island. The longer you are on the island, the further you get from your own time-line.

Naomi and her crew have been on the island for less than a day so the difference so far is small, 30 minutes.

Our gang has been on the island for 3months so the relative difference will be much larger.

So I think that means the Naomi is from our future because time on the island passes slower relative to outside the island.

Just a thought….

As well as get Ben for some reason. I’m not sure what the pilot of the chopper specialty is, but Miles deals with ghosts, so his mission could deal with Jacob, Charlotte does with archeology, so she’s supposed to do that sort of work, and the other guy is a physicist, so he’s supposed to deal with the island’s physical phenomena.

Interesting, but what if the collar is from another Dharma site. The Dharma group seemed pretty big that it woudn’t be all that impossible to have several locations spread out across the globe studying….stuff. Charlotte and her friends could have been sent to the island by a different group like Dharma to study and gather information left behind by Dharma.

I think that when they were on the plane they somehow went back in time. After seeing the 2nd episode of season 4 when charlotte goes and sees the fossil of the polar bear ,that could have been from the island because of the dharma collar. So the island could have been the very beginning of life itself. In the first season when they go to the caves and see 2 bodies there it could be adam and eve.

Oh my – I love this show and I’m so glad it’s back!

Interesting thoughts on the time travel – I have been having a hard time following that as well, especially when Jack gave the new head surgeon (from “Scrubs”!!) the line about his father being more drunk than he.

I think it’s Juliette in the coffin – Location of the funeral home makes no sense to me, but I’m voting for her since Jack was so affected by reading the obituary and Kate had no interest in attending. Just a thought.

I AM SO CONFUSED. So at the end of series 3 jack has a beard but in the 1st episode of series 4 he says to hurley I think I am going to grow a beard. So my theory is that the end of series 3 is actually more forward in time than series 4….
If that makes sense? Which would explain why jack is actually so chilled out about the whole thing compared to how he was in the end of series 3 and compared to hurley now.
I do not know what the hell locke is up to I mean as a veiwer I dont know who to trust and who not to trust and I think thats where my confusion lies

I think it’s entirely possible that Sun could be rescued but not Jin.

Also, I think the hatred towards the person in the coffin may possibly be someone other than the likely suspects (Locke and Ben), who ends up doing something pretty awful when everything went down (we can safely assume SOMETHING pretty awful happened).

I think Sawyer is the one in the coffin. That is why Jack seemed surprised that Kate didn’t go to the funeral. Jack only went to the funeral because he thought Kate would show up and he wanted to see her. That’s why when the funeral director asked if he was family or friend Jack said “neither”. Something must have happened on the island that made Kate hate Sawyer and not want anything more to do with Jack. She clearly wants Jack out of her life. But who was the “he” she refered to when she said — He’ll wonder where I am (or something to that effect.)?

I’m so glad Lost is going to end well! It seems like so many shows start off well but then fizzle (Alias!). I thought Lost was going the same way but my faith has been restored!

I love the time travel theory. Something that’s always bugged me is the question of how Richard (is that his name?) is shown currently with Ben and co., and he was one of the people who recruited Juliet, but he was also shown in scenes with Ben’s mother (1960′s?). This could be answered by the time travel theory.
Perhaps the Oceanic 6 chose to be returned to one point in time. This would also explain why Charlie is dead but “also here”.
Like parallel universes. Lives being lived in the same place but at different times.
Huh!?? Sorry, it’s hard to put into words exactly what I’m thinking!

omg the best episode of my life!

I think its safe to bet that the oceanic 6 are firstly Kate, Jack, and Hurley because we’ve seen that in flashforwards, but i also think its likely that the other three are Sun, Jin, and Sayid. I haven’t heard many people guessing sayid yet, but Sun, Jin, and Sayid are like the only other people who didnt even seem to give staying with jack a second time. they clearly are the other three that are loyal to jack and want to get off the island. Now the question is how does Hurley come into play?

Also i agree that its Ben in the coffin, because there were only 6 oceanic people it doesnt neccesarily mean that only 6 people left the island. If Ben, Juliet, or Desmond left, they wouldnt be called the oceanic 6 since they werent on the plane.

I definitely think that Jacob is Dr. Shepard because not only was John Terry listed in the credits BUT … it would finally explain why his coffin was found empty. That’s always a scene from season 1 that I forget happens, and everytime I rewatch I think, oh YEAH! when are they going to address that? So although they haven’t explained how/why he’s Jacob/who he is, etc, I think they’re finally going to reveal that answer soon.

OO. .. before I pressed submit I went to Lostpedia and found that the missing pieces episodes are about Christian Shepard … so maybe he is Jacob? Maybe he’s not, I haven’t watched those episodes, but I will soon.

So I think most of your are off on the whole Oceanic 6 thing. They are making a play on the Oceanic 815 flight itself, and therefore the 6 people that get back to the “real world” have to have been on that original Oceanic flight that crashed, so Juliet and Ben couldn’t have gone back because they weren’t part of the original flight. My money is on, Kate, Jack, Hurley, Sawyer (the 4 on the list requested by the others…) and Jin and Sun for their baby.

hmmm that’s interesting about time Terry B … I noticed in one of the “flash forwards” , when Jack was drunk at work saying something like “go upstairs and if my father isn’t drunker than me you can fire me” and I was sort of confused about that since his father died… Were they maybe brought back in time…to before the crash? does that make any sense? it could explain Charlie being dead but still here… yet everyone seems to know about the Oceanic 6… GAAAAHHH I dunno!! It’s a mystery…
