’08 Paley Festival Lineup Announced

Paley Festival Lineup

The scheduled for this year’s William S. Paley Festival has just been announced and some of TV’s best new shows are being honored. For those of you not familiar with the Paley Festival, it’s an amazing experience during which fans can hear directly from the cast and crew of their favorites show during a moderated hosted panel and then interactive Q&A. I attended last year and it was fantastic.

I wish I could attend the full two weeks, but alas my wallet just doesn’t allow. I’m thinking of making the trek from Boston to L.A for Pushing Daisies, Chuck and Friday Night Lights…if I can swing it.

Here are the dates for each of the panels as well as the guests announced thus far. Please know that the guests lists can change at anytime (last year Wentworth Miller was scheduled to be there for Prison Break and he wasn’t…but then again Steve Carell was NOT listed as a guest for The Office panel and he was there…you never know). I’ll update this post when new guests are announced so check back soon. Update: Sarah Michelle Geller has confirmed she will be attending the BUFFY Reunion Panel.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz not going to the Buffy reunion? SHOCKER!

I am kind of sad and surprised to see Alyson Hannigan and Anthony Stewart Head won’t be there though. 🙁

They might be there. This is just the preliminary list – those who could agree to be there by the time the press release went out. As I said, last year Steve Carell wasn’t on the initial list…hell he wasn’t even on the list the night of the event and he still went. You never know.

Looks like a great lineup this year – too bad The Office can’t be there every year, though! 😉 I really wish I could go – I even have one of those weeks off from work! I would just love to go to the FNL panel, especially, but it would be amazing to go to nearly all of them, too. The Buffy reunion sounds great, especially if SMG ends up being there. I wish my pocketbook could afford any trip to L.A.

I’m with you on the wallet situation. If there was one of these that I could attend, it would be Pushing Daisies. Take lots of pics and do a big report on that night, ok? And, yeah, last year was just magical.

Oh my gosh, I’m Australian and so i can’t get there, but if you can please get near Kristin Chenoweth, please tell her that i love her. I would turn gay for that woman. I love her in everything she does. She is my idol. We’re even the same height. I’ll never get to meet her myself, so if you can please go crazy fangirl on my behalf.

    Then repeat with Nicolas Brendon!

Buffy reunion?!!! Oh my goodness, this is the best news ever! I am so happy. I’m literally jumping for joy. (Well, I was and will after I type this.) Yay!!!

I’m so excited to see that SMG is now in the lineup for the Buffy Reunion. This makes me want to find a way to go to Paley Fest even more!

    Questions:

    1. Can you buy tickets for individual days?

    2. If so, how much are they? If not, how much are the tickets for multiple days?

    Thanks!

  10. Vlada on February 5th, 2008 2:24 am

brionswea — you can buy tickets for individual events. Individual member tickets are $35 GA and $50 for premium seats. Non-member tickets are $45 GA and $60 for premium.

Member tickets go on sale 2/7 and non-member on 2/10.

    Thank you, Vlada!

i have a question about the seating arrangements, are they on first come first serve basis, even when you buy the premium seating?

  13. Vlada on February 10th, 2008 10:55 pm

berriez — I believe they are first come, first serve. However, premium ticketholders get seating in the first four rows from what I understand.

Thanks Vlada for all the infos! may i also ask if there would likely be a meet&greet at the end of each event? cuz i think i’ve heard last year there was, for The Office.

  15. GMMR on February 13th, 2008 1:26 am

There was no meet and greet with the cast last year. They walked the red carpet and were ushered in. However, they did allow for an autograph session where the audience stormed the stage. I’d be really surprised if they did that again this year because it was rather crazy.

  16. Vlada on February 14th, 2008 9:55 pm

It’s not a meet and greet, so it’s pretty much up to the actors. Some of them hang out afterwards in the lobby or on stage signing and taking pics. Some don’t.

  17. Diana on February 26th, 2008 8:18 pm

Are cameras allowed? You can take pictures with the stars? I’m thinking about attending.

  18. Rachel on March 14th, 2008 5:32 pm

If we have the tickets… does that guarantee us some sort of seat, I know it’s general public, but they aren’t going to just give away seats to anyone who wants one are they? Because I’m not sure how early I should get there
