So Say We All: TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHORNICLES

February 26, 2008 by

I should be completely ashamed of myself.  Last night, while I should have been watching TV, I was instead reading a book.  I know, I know.  I promise I will work on getting my priorities back on track starting tonight.  I don’t have much in a way of defense, but perhaps you’ll go easier on me if you new the book I was reading was “John Adams” and it was sent to me by HBO in support of their upcoming John Adams movie?  Is that any better?  Yeah, I didn’t think so.  Sorry

TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES

Just because I was reading didn’t mean I didn’t watch any TV.  It’s just that it was really late when I got around to it.  So late in fact that I was half unconscious while watching Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I remember bits and parts of it, but not enough to share my thoughts.  I do remember Cameron sporting those silly aviator glasses reminiscent of T2 which I thought was lame.  Brian Austin Green was still looking good. Agent Ellison was kidnapped and now perhaps believes Sarah.  Not so sure on the last part because I fell asleep before the end.  Oh and Cameron wants to be like a cat.

So I’m going to turn it over to you all who did watch it.  How was last night’s episode?  I’m not going to be able to rewatch it until later in the week, so feel free to fill me in.

    I liked the episode.

Cameron is by far the best character. She is the most mysterious and interesting character and since she is a robot that is either a testament to Glau and/or Cameron or a criticism of the the other characters or actors.

Earlier we had her writing a note to the dead (I believe to the terminator she killed); there have been the pilfered parts and materials for a terminator; and now there is the wanting to learn to dance (to get a soul?).

All this and she still shows no emotion when someone gets killed. And she even seemed to have a connection with the dancer instructor who was murdered.

I really want to know what Cameron’s story is and will be. The other characters are fairly predictable.

I can’t believe there’s only one more episode of this left– and I agree with John about really wanting to know what transpires between Cameron and the Mysterious Uncle With The Bullet Wound (aka Brian Austin Green).

I loved that Sarah’s doctor ended up in the psych ward too. Way to tie up a loose end! I am another one that wants to know what happened in the basement!?!

I have found that I really like this show — which probably means it will be cancelled before we can see where it’s going…

Last night’s episode was good. Particularly the end. You hear Sarah’s voice-over saying something about how the machines can’t ever have “faith” or any number of other human qualities… But then we see Cameron dancing ballet alone in her bedroom… Brian Austin Green sees her dancing and looks all confused and sad…

Then Sarah’s voice continues by saying something about how if the machines ever gained these human quailites, they wouldn’t need to destroy humans — they would simple *be* human…
