So Say We All: TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHORNICLES

February 26, 2008 by
Filed under The Sarah Connor Chronicles

I should be completely ashamed of myself.  Last night, while I should have been watching TV, I was instead reading a book.  I know, I know.  I promise I will work on getting my priorities back on track starting tonight.  I don’t have much in a way of defense, but perhaps you’ll go easier on me if you new the book I was reading was “John Adams” and it was sent to me by HBO in support of their upcoming John Adams movie?  Is that any better?  Yeah, I didn’t think so.  Sorry

TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES

Just because I was reading didn’t mean I didn’t watch any TV.  It’s just that it was really late when I got around to it.  So late in fact that I was half unconscious while watching Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I remember bits and parts of it, but not enough to share my thoughts.  I do remember Cameron sporting those silly aviator glasses reminiscent of T2 which I thought was lame.  Brian Austin Green was still looking good. Agent Ellison was kidnapped and now perhaps believes Sarah.  Not so sure on the last part because I fell asleep before the end.  Oh and Cameron wants to be like a cat.

So I’m going to turn it over to you all who did watch it.  How was last night’s episode?  I’m not going to be able to rewatch it until later in the week, so feel free to fill me in.

BIG BROTHER Spoilers (Update #8)

February 25, 2008 by

Last night, the house put on a show for the ShowToo show. BB had given them some beer and a bottle of wine and the houseguests that were able to drink it (those not on slop) definitely enjoyed it. Natalie chugged 3 beers and had some wine and she and Chelsia decided it would be great to show off their stripping skills. They went up to HOH and got ready- each wearing a black thong, black bra and a black button up shirt over it all. Joshuah also got into the fun by wearing one of Chelsia’s thongs with a candy G string over it. They made everyone sit on the horseshoe couch and proceeded to dance around and strip for them. Natalie got a little out of hand and when Josh brought her cucumbers and whipped cream she did dirty things with them. There was some girl on girl makeout action and once all that was over, the fun was not done.

Everyone in the house except Amanda, Allison and Sheila decide to jump into the heated pool. Chelsia and Natalie were topless. James was completely nude and the rest of the guys had their boxers on. Chelsia and Natalie made out with all the boys (except Ryan because he had a girlfriend). They also pecked Sharons cheeks. James made out with Joshuah. The three girls that didn’t participate were all peeking and spying and talking trash about the houseguests involved, but they “weren’t judging.” According to the boys, Sharon was the best kisser and ended up spending quite a bit of time making out with Alex. James was the best kisser for the guys. Throughout the entire night, Natalie was throwing herself at Matt and he kept pushing her away and pushing her to make out with James or Adam.

Jimmy Kimmel is F#%king Ben Affleck

It wasn’t to long ago that Jimmy Kimmel found out that his girlfriend, Sarah Silverman was f$%king Matt Damon. Kimmel was obviously upset but in the end decided that perhaps it was time to come clean with news of his own. Yes, Jimmy Kimmel is f#%king Ben Affleck. How you like them apples?

Of course the video is a bit crude but the star power alone makes it worth watching over and over again.

This might not have the impact of the original, but this one certainly is hilarious.

BIG BROTHER fans:  GMMR’s BIG BROTHER correspondent, Kilwiggle, just posted some veto spoilers and updates on some MAJOR drama happening in the Big Brother house.  I’m so tempted to look I can’t even begin to tell you.  But I’m being so I’m not going to.  But if you’re interested, check out the latest updates on GMMR’s BIG BROTHER 9 spoilers page.

BIG BROTHER Spoilers (Update #7)

February 23, 2008 by

So on Friday, the veto competition was held. James and Chelsia, Amanda and Alex, Natalie and Matt, and Sharon and Joshuah played. Josh and Sharon came in first and Amanda and Alex were right behind them. Josh and Sharon are going through all the possible scenarios as to determine in which case they are the safest. As of right now, it seems that they won’t use it and that they’ll be voting Matt and Natalie out.

Sheila went and told Amanda, Alex, Natalie and Matt everything that Allison had ever said about them because she was pissed that Allison went and told everyone about Sheila’s yeast infection. They get in a fight about it, Sheila starts acting rather nutty, and eventually the truth comes out that Amanda was the one that started the rumor that Allison told everyone. Sheila ended up apologizing to Allison about it.

But that wasn’t all the drama that happened in the BB9 house yesterday. After eating some slop, Allison had an allergic reaction and went into the DR where a nurse was treating her- they used an epipen and supposedly her throat swelled and her face was covered in hives. During that time that she was in the DR, Amanda wanted to get in to tell the producers that she needed some sugar of some sort because of her hypoglycemia. The DR wouldn’t let her in because Allison was already in there, and Amanda ended up passing out, when she came to, she was hyperventilating and all the houseguests got freaked out. The panic button was pressed by Joshuah and the feeds went to the trivia. Both the girls ended up going to the hospital. They came back late last night and Amanda said that she had an MRI done and she just felt weak. Supposedly everyone has a pass from slop today and they are going to have the margarita party tonight.

LOST: Hark, is that an Answer I Hear?

Lost “Eggtown”

WARNING! The following contains information about last night’s episode of LOST. If you haven’t had a chance to see it, well then you should stop what you are doing right this very instance and go watch it (if you are in the process of participating in some life saving activity for either you or someone else, I wouldn’t stop…but then again if you are saving a life why are you reading this blog?)

Color me crazy but we actually got some answers from last night’s episode of Lost. Let’s not get too ahead of ourselves, more questions were raised than answers given, but at this point I’ll take what I can get. I can’t being to tell you how into Lost I am this season. It’s like the writers are on a creative high and we are all reaping the benefits.

Holy Mother of….Aaron….
Kate & Aaron Lost No need to bury the lead on this one…Aaron is the “he” that Kate had to get home to in last season’s finale. Yes, Kate!815 has a son and it’s none other than Aaron. Who knew? Well I did, but aren’t you proud I didn’t spill it? Of course the big reveal came with all kinds of questions the biggest of which is ‘what happened to Claire?’

My friends and I were discussing it and concluded that Kate is trying to pass off Aaron as her biological son. Why else would (a) she be so adamant that he not be brought into the courtroom, and (b) risk spending her life in jail rather than letting her mother see him. Perhaps it’s because little Aaron is a blondie who doesn’t resemble Kate in the slightest? But why not just say she was raising the son of another 815 passenger who died? Maybe it had a little something to do with the big secret the Oceanic 6 are keeping.

Lies may take care of the present, but they have no future…
Jack Eggtown Lost During Kate!815’s trial, Jack!815 is brought in as a character witness much to the chagrin on Ms. Austin. Under oath Jack tells a tall tale of the 8 survivors of Oceanic 815 (yes, he said 8!) and how Kate was the big hero an saved all their lives by bringing them to shore when the plane crashed into the ocean. At this Kate stands and tells the court that she doesn’t want Jack testifying on her behalf. But the DA has just one question for the good doctor – “Do you love the defendant?” And since it’s clearly opposite day on the stand, Jack says “not anymore.” Like the song goes: tell one lie and it leads to another. We later learn that despite still being in love with Kate, she and Jack can’t be together until he is ready to face her son. Why can’t you see the baby, Jack? Do you know that Aaron is your nephew? Is something eating at you, Jack? It’s called guilt and it’s best served with a side of conscious pie.

SURVIVOR: Full on Smackdown

Survivor: Fans vs. Favorites

Unlike it’s reality show rival, American Idol, the fans and favorites competing against each other in this season’s SURVIVOR weren’t la la la’ing it to stay in the game…they were fighting to the death, or so it seemed.

This is the first season since the first that I’m watching SURVIVOR and let me tell you – I would not last 10 minutes in this game. Watching Survivor is like a glimpse into my own personal hell. The bugs, sleeping on the ground, rats, critters ever which way, and wearing a bathing suit on national television – yeah, I’ll pass.

Having not watched past seasons, I don’t have any connection to any of the favorites. I watched a few episodes from Cirie’s season and I liked her. And damn if she didn’t play a good game last night. Well, I think it was a good game. I’m not versed enough in SURVIVOR strategy to analyze moves just yet. If this was BIG BROTHER I would know what I was talking about, but not Survivor.

Can we talk for a minute about last night’s reward challenge? That was brutal!! I can’t believe there weren’t any major brawls coming out of that full out smackdown. Guys were flipping chicks over their backs and slamming them to the ground. People were smacking each other in the face. Damn. Again, not my idea of a good time.

Survivor: Fans vs. Favorites - Rewards Challenge

The favorites won the reward challenge, but the fans won the important immunity challenge forcing the favorites to send one of their own home. Cirie, the swing vote for the two alliances, dictated the game last night. She decided who she wanted to go home and damn if she didn’t get her way. I’m sure it put a pretty big target on her back, but I think that she knows exactly what she’s doing. In the end it was Yau-Man who got his torched snuffed by Probst (which I feel deserves a ‘that’s what she said’). From what I hear, Yau-Man was well liked in his season…true? I think this ousting probably hurt the Favorites as a team, but I’m sure they’ll rally back.

Ok all you long time SURVIVOR watchers. Talk to me. Was last night’s move a good one? Was Cirie being smart or did she make a big boo boo last night? And who should I be rooting for on the Favorites side? I’m kind of loving Ozzie right now. He keeps his mouth shut and gets the job done. Yes? No? Fill me in.

Who Got Kicked Off AMERICAN IDOL?

If you’re looking to find out who won the American Idol season finale tonight- Adam or Kris – please click here: Who Won AMERICAN IDOL Tonight? (May 20, 2009)

PREVIOUS POST

American Idol Season 7

The Grand Poobah’s of reality TV went head to head last night when SURVIVOR took on AMERICAN IDOL. Who will be the ratings victor? Ok no drama there it will be IDOL, but SURVIVOR is one of those shows that can actually hold its own up against the karaoke spectacular. Lots of drama on both shows last night as people were sent packing, but just what went down?

First up, let’s tackle IDOL shall we? Two guys and two girls were told their American Idol journey was over. Colton Berry, Joanne Borgella, Garrett Haley and Amy Davis – we hardly knew thee, but thee didn’t sing well enough to get votes so adios thee.

Did anyone else think it was kind of harsh how Seacrest booted Garrett? “Hey come on up here and talk to me. Oh snap you’re outta here bitch!“. Ok so it wasn’t exactly like that, but almost. I give props to Ryan for changing up his dismissal but give the kid a little bit or warning. Actually that brings up a good point. By any chance were Garrett and Amy told they were going home? They seemed awfully ‘not shocked’, nor were their parents. Usually the first ones out and boo’hooing the whole time. A bit suspect if you ask me.

So with the first four gone, the other 20 singers best be stepping up their game last week. I didn’t sit through all those painful audition shows to be left underwhelmed by the Top 24. Come on people, this is AMERICAN IDOL. Bring it!!

Were the right people sent home last night? Did you agree with America’s vote?

PROJECT RUNWAY Reunion Recap

February 22, 2008 by
Filed under Project Runway, Project Runway Recaps

PROJECT RUNWAY is nearing the end of its fierce run, so there’s no better time to bring back all the auf’d designers and their ‘tudes and look back at the season that was.

I don’t think there is anyone better out there giving us the play-by-play of what went down than the very funny Jennifer Eolin who has been recapping PROJECT RUNWAY all season on her MySpace blog.

Jennifer’s Runway…
Jennifer Eolin (http://www.myspace.com/jennifereolin)While watching the Project Runway Reunion Episode last night, several things happened:

1. I tried to laugh.
2. I thought about crying.
3. I DEFINITELY ate an entire bag of Trader Joe’s Veggie Chips.

Anybody else bored to Ricky Tears?

Sigh.

Right off the bat, my first thought while watching this show other than, “VEGGIE CHIPS RULE THE GALAXY!!!” is that Heidi really needs friendly “what-up” from a gal pal about her completely out of control bangs. It looked her bangs and eyelashes were fighting for the same piece of property and her eyelashes were winning.

Project Runway, Heidi’s Bangs

But thankfully… you can now buy your very own “Banged Up Heidi” figurine! She even comes in two sizes. (Offer not available in Maryland and Puerto Rico.)

Wunderbar!

And now the big news of the night… Ricky has a new hat! Happy fists! It’s a bloody miracle! Moreover… it’s not mesh or denim! It looks like instead of heading to Mood, Ricky went to a cheap diner and was inspired by the vinyl booth he was sitting on. Apparently, if it’s good enough to sit on, it’s good enough to make into a hat. (continue reading here)

BIG BROTHER Spoilers (Update #6)

February 21, 2008 by

Food competition had something to do with tanks of fish (catfish, bass, squid, red snapper, small minnows) and basketball-type game. Alex got stabbed with a fish fin. Alex, Amanda, Sheila and Adam are all on slop. They’ve tried making Slop Salad, Slop Dessert Bars and a number of other Slop foods.

Nominations were also held today. James and Chelsia had the idea that they would disagree on the nominations, therefore giving the power to Allison and Ryan (because they were 2nd in the HOH competition) but thought better of that idea after a bit. When it all came down, Alex and Amanda were on the block next to Matt and Natalie. Matt knows they are a pawn and are hoping that Alex and Amanda don’t win POV or else they know they are heading out.

On another note, Parker and Jen never did any Early Show or Housecalls interviews. Is it possible that they’ll be coming back?

To find out what’s going on in the BB house, check out GMMR’s spoiler updates from the 24/7 live feed: BIG BROTHER Spoilers – Feed Alert. Keep checking back as new updates are added all the time.
