As a Canadian, I just have a few things to say

1) That girl is really, really funny.
2) We don't ice fish, or live in igloos - heck, the only igloo I've ever seen was one that I built as a child, and even then it was just a pile of snow with a whole in it.
3) We do say 'eh', but not THAT often
4) I agree with Nicole - the Canadian jokes on HIMYM (while 99% of the time make no sense to me, a canadian unaware of some ludicrus steriotype alive somehwere in the US upon which the joke is based) at least they are very original and - when they make sense - are hilarious.

I'm going to go outside now - in shorts, in a smaller city of 1 million people, and enjoy a beautiful day; sans ice fishing :)

So, as a Canadian, I just kind of rolled my eyes at the jokes. (Ice fishing? Igloos? Yawn). I don't find them offensive because a)none of it is true, unless you go into the vast northern regions of the country where 95% of Canadians would never brave to go anyhow and b)it really is pretty unoriginal. I once met some guys from Boston while in Cape Cod who asked if it would be snowing immediately when we crossed back over the border or if you had to drive for a bit first (this was in August). Anyhoo....these stereotypes don't really bother me I have to say. People find it funny? That's cool - Canada's awesome and if people enjoy joking about it I don't mind. I have to say the Canadian jokes on How I Met Your Mother always kill me, but that's because I suspect a lot of the writers ARE Canadians poking fun at the misconceptions.

I thought it was funny. Come on people, don't be too sensitive. I'm from the South and have to read jokes about how we are all married to our cousins, live in trailers, are stupid because we talk slow, and go to civil war reenactments all the time. I just let it roll off my back because I know the South is a wonderful place to live.

I thought it was hilarious. It was just as funny as Jennifer's usual Project Runway recaps and it was all in jest. That mustache was incredible.

Wow. Do people still find stupid stereotypes to be funny? It's one thing if there was some intelligent humor in this review, but it was just a typical, lazy stereotype-ridden mess.

That was the wrost thing i have ever read. At least make original jokes. The said thing about it is I bet a lot of people believe that to be true. The fact that you posted that made me loose a little bit of respect for you.
