BROTHERS & SISTERS Keeps it in the Family

Rebecca and Justin, Brothers & Sisters

Did anyone else feel all kinds of squicky last night watching BROTHERS & SISTERS?It’s not like Justin and Rebecca are related in any way, shape or form, but he didn’t know that when he started he started his sisterly fantasies. And whether it was scripted or not, I picked up on a little sumptin’ from Rebecca too.

Ew and ew.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m actually all for these two getting together now that we all know they aren’t actually related.  But it stills seems a little gross if you ask me. I think I’m more bothered about the timing of it all more than anything.

And what was with Justin’s reaction. It’s ok for him to tell his “sister” that he’s sexually attracted to her, but she tells him that in a moment on panic she lied and he orders her out of the house.  What?

I’m not worried about Rebecca.  I think she’s going to come out on top (I’m sure Justin is hoping she is too). I think the Walker kids will realize (after some time) that this is not Rebecca’s fault at all and put the full blame of Holly (where it rightfully belongs).

So what did you think of the budding romance between Rebecca and Justin?  Are you all for it or are you a little grossed out?

I am all for it, I think that these two are adorable together. Granted it is a bit strange to make the transition from possible siblings to full on coupledom but I think the show will handle it brilliantly as they do most everything else!

yes, it felt a little icky. All a bit rushed, if you ask me.

OH please kiss already! I feel like we’ve been building the tension forever with these two, and I’m just ready for them to close the deal. By season 3 she and Justin will be engaged and by season 4 she’ll be birthin a tiny baby Walker!

It’s icky. Doesn’t matter if they’re biologically related or not… he thought she was his sister, that makes it creepy. Even though we know now that she’s not, I still don’t want them together. It’s too weird.

if you go to places like TWoP, most people are dramatically and vehemently against it. calling it jump-the-shark. saying it invalidates all of season 1, blah blah blah.

I don’t. In my eyes, Rebecca not being a blood Walker doesn’t mean season 1 is invalidated. They can still be a “family”. Kitty saying Rebecca looked like William seemed to me at the time to be more a way of convincing herself to accept Rebecca as a member of the family, I don’t think EVC and Tom Skerrit look alike at all.

As for Justin/Rebecca, I love the idea. If its written and acted well, it could be amazing. The show is walking a fine line. As long as they build it all up slowly, I am very open to seeing SOME kind of romance between Justin and Rebecca.

While it may be on the creepy side, even the characters think so, you just can’t take your eyes off the screen when Dave Annable and Emily VanCamp are on it. How great was that scene at the movies and earlier when Justin tells his brother about what he is feeling. It’s supposed to feel creepy right now. Actually, it would be really creepy, if it didn’t feel at least a little bit creepy. But, I agree with Shari, if it’s “written and acted well, it could be amazing,” even if it continues to feel creepy.

As an Australian who hasnt seen up to where you all have i must say that this news makes me happy :). Its weird but I find myself forgetting that they are siblings half the time. I find that they both get jealous of each other and look at each other in a way thats not brotherly/sisterly. But it doesnt bother me. They are just too perfect and in the context of this show it just happens to work 😀
