It seems Sweets was saying the sessions were over, but that he continued to want to see them for research. I guess because the reason they were in the therapy to begin with was because Booth had arrested Max, now that that is done, they don't need the sessions, but they need some reason to keep JFD around. I thought they were just canceling the partnership during the trial, that made sense...so i was surprised when Sweets thought he had to come up with another reason to meet with them. They were both accepting of the idea, I think...which was interesting... it just seems that the power is now with B&B, where before, Sweets and the FBI controlled the partnership, etc Patti, I meant literal partners. There are many reasons, but I think I was extremely annoyed with the ending, and with Max being set free. As much as fans may have wanted the "happy Brennan family reunited", and the B/B squeeworthy ending - I hated it. Max did commit that murder, even though it was in defense of his family, and he should have been punished for it. Total cop-out on the part of the writers, in my opinion. This was what I was waiting for after the strike. An episode that really showed B&B as friends. Sure, I want them to get down as much as the next person but I love the friendship and their wonderful banter! And I got a little Sweets! (I thought he was great on the stand!) I will honestly say, I never watched this show until this past summer. I was lookign around for a show to watch and poof! There was S1 of Bones. As luck would have it, I finished S1 about a week before S2 came out on DVD. DVD is the best thing that ever happened to TV. A little late but…loved it!
