What to Watch…Thursday, May 8, 2008

Time to play to the Rocky theme song and start gearing up for tonight. Have you cleaned out space on the DVR? Have you made sure that everything is set to record? Yes, it’s Thursday – television’s biggest night. I don’t know about you but I’m ready.

Ugly Betty | 8pm on ABC
“Betty’s Baby Bump”
Betty tries a different tactic in her rivalry with Charlie by throwing her the mother of all baby showers. Meanwhile, Justin’s poor grades in gym prompt a confrontation between Hilda and his teacher (Eddie Cibrian).

My Name is Earl | 8pm on NBC
“Girl Earl”
As Earl and Billie (Alyssa Milano) decide to give romance a try, Earl inspires Billie to compose her own karmic list. Her first order of business is to revisit a grocery bagger—a victim of Billie’s thieving past who’s now down and out.

Survivor: Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites | 8pm on CBS
Some of the ladies try to sway Erik, the last-remaining male player, to side with them to make it to the final four. At tribal council, another castaway is voted out of the game. Jeff Probst is the host.

Smallville | 8pm on The CW
“Quest”
A cloaked stranger attacks Lex, leaving him with Kryptonian symbols carved on his chest. They were intended as a message for Clark, who investigates with Chloe and learns that one member from Veritas is still alive and hiding in a church.

Scrubs | 8:30pm on NBC | Season Finale
“My Princess”
During the seventh-season finale (and the last SCRUBS episode on NBC) Dr. Cox spins his rocky day at work into a fairy tale for his son. In the story, the Sacred Heart staff work together to try to defeat an unknown monster plaguing Elliot’s patient. (See a sneak peek here)

The Office | 9pm on NBC
“Job Fair”
With Andy and Kevin in tow, Jim hits the golf course in order to score his biggest client yet. Elsewhere, Michael mans a booth at a local job fair in his quest to find a bright summer intern.

Supernatural | 9pm on The CW
“Time is in on My Side”
Sam and Dean investigate zombies in a small Pennsylvania town, where they find a doctor (Billy Drago) with a sinister agenda. Meanwhile, Bobby learns where Bela (Lauren Cohan) is hiding, so Dean confronts her, leaving Sam to deal with the doctor.

Grey’s Anatomy | 9pm on ABC
“The Becoming”
A “date-and-tell” policy is instituted at Seattle Grace after nurses complain about Mark’s trysts, but Callie turns to him in a time of need. Meanwhile, Preston Burke’s latest career accomplishments force Cristina to confront her feelings about him.

CSI | 9pm on CBS
“Two and a Half Deaths”
The difficult star (Katey Sagal) of a TV sitcom is murdered while filming an episode in Las Vegas. The investigation reveals plenty of suspects, including her husband, the actress who is her stand-in and the show’s entire staff of writers. [GMMR: I caught the ‘Two and a Half Men’ episode penned by the CSI writers…snooze. I hope the comedy staff can tackle the drama a little better.]

30 Rock | 9:30pm on NBC | Season Finale
“Cooter”
In the Season 2 finale, Jack takes on new political work in Washington, D.C., but when the job doesn’t meet his expectations, he enlists his ex-flame C.C. (Edie Falco) and a government staffer (Matthew Broderick) to help him get fired. [GMMR: I’ve seen tonight’s episode and it’s hilarious…more on that later.]

Lost | 10pm on ABC
“Cabin Fever”
Locke discovers the location of Jacob’s cabin, and life aboard the freighter becomes increasingly perilous. Dr. Christian Shephard: John Terry. Richard Alpert: Nestor Carbonell. Matthew Abbadon: Lance Reddick

ER | 10pm on NBC
“Tandem Repeats”
Neela feels the strain when her patient (Aida Turturro) requires yet another follow-up surgery; Morris meets with a shrink after his run-in with thieves; and a new opportunity means a tough decision for Abby.

Without a Trace| 10pm on CBS
“Driven”
A tow-truck driver who had saved a boy’s life vanishes, and the team believes the man’s heroism and a secret from his past hold the secret to finding him. Meanwhile, an FBI psychiatrist (Linda Hunt) is brought in for a mandatory evaluation of Jack.
