I think since last years winner was an innocent 17 year old who’s career is so so it will hurt DA. DA has a harder song base to sell records to. I guess the Josh Grobin people will buy them, but DC is more marketable and the producers are well aware of that after loosing all that money from Daughtry.

I think everyone who cares and votes has already made up their mind who they will be voting for next week. I think they’re both incredibly talented, but my loyalty lies with my hometown boy, Archuleta. And yes I admit I was one of those screaming girls at his hometown party last week. I may not be 13 years old anymore, but I can sure act like one!

I really want David Cook to win.
I believe that AI will work with David C. and that he’ll be able to put in his “own” thing, because of the bad results from the other AI titled Idols.
AI will start losing watchers if it goes all “bubblegum”.
(Besides, does AI really want to put up with little David’s dad?)
Kelly Clarkson started it all and rocked out!
Carrie Underwoods win and success led more views for the following year.
Now a rocker needs to win and lead the way!
Sure Davie A is good, but I believe that Cook has been the true American Idol all the way!

david cook has had some WOW performances for sure. and he’ll probably be a huge star…. but david archuleta WOW’s me everytime he sings. his voice is absolutely beautiful. go David Archuleta!!!

I think you are right, GMMR, and people know who they want to win. My opinion is that David Cook doesn’t and shouldn’t want to win. He’ll have a much better career if he can have his own and not be tied to AI for years. I mean,Fantasia…yeah…and where the heck is Reuben and Taylor Hicks? Meanwhile, Daughtry is doing great, so yeah, coming in second is actually better for DC. Just IMO, I guess. Let David A be ‘groomed’ before America’s eyes. DC will be fine on his own.
Of course, Justin Guarini may disagree. did you see him? He still looks like Richard Simmons to me.

I’m not a big fan of AI (though i do watch it every season), but i absolutely adore David Cook. Like you, GMMR, i have been a fan of his from day one. He is amazing and such a talented performer! I honestly can’t think of a performance he’s done where i thought he was bad. I’ve enjoyed every single one of his performances. I know both Davids have recording deals already in the bag and i think Archuleta is wonderful, but i really really hope Cook wins this. That would be the perfect ending of this season for me. I’ve never said this EVER before, but i might actually have to see the AI concert so i can see Cook (or i can just wait until he tours on his own…).

Anyway, i hope David Cook wins this! He’s the best in my opinion!

Just found this site! Took me a like 10 mins to find out who won tonight. I missed the show totally. The American Idol site doesn’t even give the final results yet! (Or half the other sites out there) I will be bookmarking this one! This season had the worst music choices. I hope David Cook wins, yet Dave A. reminds me of a younger version of Marc Anthony. They will both get e record deal no matter what. They are both equally talented.

I love David Cook!!! But, his performances last night did not seem heartful. I don’t know if he REALLY wants to win. But, I think he is WAY better than Archie(i get embarrassed for him when he speaks)…

Sabrina, you may be right. But I think that if someone is an Archuleta/Cook fan and wants him to win, then I don’t know if they will change their mind if he blows a song or two next week. I think people are going to vote in the finale on ALL the performances to date.

I had to change the channel during Fantasia’s “performance” because it was just too horrible to watch. I did, luckily, switch it back in time to watch Simon’s face, as well as the many girls in the audience who were just laughing in disbelief.

Yay for DC making it to the finale! I’ve been a fan since his audition when he sang Bon Jovi.

I have to disagree with you GMMR, next week’s performances will matter. I think the playing field is even right now. Next week’s performances will determine the winner, or how many votes they’ll each receive of course.

My pick, David Archuleta. Hell if David Cook wins, I’ll be O.K. with it too. I love them both.
