Dear Grey’s Anatomy…

May 23, 2008 by

Thank you.  I’m whole and healthy and I’m going to try to trust you.  I don’t know if I can, but I’m going to try.  I’m not sure if I have a room where our kids can play but after what you’ve showed in these post-strike episodes, there’s definitely room on my TiVo for you.  It’s episodes like that when I feel lucky that I’m a chick, and therefore have no issues with all the crying, and the giddy feelings I had with all the kissing.  You righted some wrongs.  We all went through some therapy. Stick with it next season – it’s not easy but you kept one patient alive.  Don’t screw up again.

Totally agree. It was an amazing finale. It was like watching movie…I laughed, I cried..and more importantly – I cared about the characters again. Can’t wait for next season!

hear, hear! Grey’s was amazing last night… I was completely shocked. I never thought I’d love MerDer again but i found myself squee-ing with delight at the end.

I got to watch this one in real time more or less what with my DVR regulars dwindling. I liked this finale a lot and don’t call me ‘doom and gloom’ but I think something happens to prevent Der from getting back to Mer. Best moments for me were Bailey expressing way more Star Wars knowledge than a regular chick would know, but Bailey is never regular. She is my favorite character. The other favorite was MerDer letting the two sick kids consummate their romance. I did go through more than the usual quantity of tissues and am also glad that I am a chick so that I can cry with abandon.

I LOVED this episode. I thought it ran a little long but I still loved it. Dr. Bailey is my heroine. And if I don’t find out who played that Jeremy kid I will scream because he looks SO familiar!

Sus – according to wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey%27s_Anatomy_episodes_%28Season_4%29#Freedom), the actor who played Jeremy is Marshall Allman. And the girl who played Beth also played Denise, Michelle’s friend, on Full House!

I looved this episode, too. I just hope that Rebecca gets better, because last season when all the other characters annoyed me, she was absolute favorite.

This episode was definitly one of the best. I loved Alex and felt so much and understood him so much better!!! The begging to Izzie was fantastic acting because it seemed so frickin’ real!
The one thing that bugged…Der leaving Mer to “wait” for him. He has to take a ferry to go to the hospital…where does Rose live? Is she just around the corner? Will he be back in five minutes, an hour, what? How long will Mer wait?

I was convinced the final scene was going to be Derek running to go find Rose and being hit with a car or something equally traumatic, leaving a still slightly unstable Meredith all alone feeling like she was abandoned.

That’s dark…but probably a good prediction knowing Grey’s! I interpreted it differently though – I thought Derek was going to call Rose, and was just going back to the trailer to call her. (He told Meredith to wait where she was, so I assumed it would be minutes, not hours.) Do you guys know about the Grey’s writers blog? Some interesting stuff. http://www.greyswriters.com

And – GOOD CALL with LJ from Prison Break! I was trying to place him too, and that’s exactly where I recognize him from. 🙂

JennyL – thank you for that link to the writers’ blog – wow – I feel better about that ending now. You should all go read it.
