But, with more info leaking out, I feel better. And I love Aziz Ansari from Flight of the Conchords (haven't really watched Human Giant much). We just saw him open for the Conchords a few weeks ago and he's hilarious. It sounds like it won't be a traditional spin-off and that sounds good to me. Here's hoping for another great show from Greg Daniels and friends! I’ve been quite skeptical about this, too. But, with more info leaking out, I feel better. Honestly, some of the best episodes of The Office were written and/or directed by Greg Daniels, so I'll be really sad if he puts most of his attention on the spinoff. Still, I'm encouraged by the fact that they are hiring all new writers for the spinoff - meaning that at least most of the original writers will be only focused on The Office. But... I dunno. The best spinoffs usually happen when the original crew finishes the original show completely, and then moves on to another show - like "Frasier" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm". Spinoffs that happen while the original is still going on.... well, I can't think of any success stories. Ug. Color me still worried about this.
