Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog (Act III)

Will Dr. Horrible show Bad Horse that he is evil enough for admittance into the Evil League of Evil?  Will Penny be able to save the homeless shelter?  Will Captain Hammer ever find a mirror he doesn’t like? Is the anchor woman wearing any underwear?

And so the tale is told.  The third and final installment of DR. HORRIBLE’S SING-ALONG BLOG went live this morning on www.drhorrible.com and iTunes. All three acts are now available for your viewing pleasure, but only for a short window of time so check them out now, or go and download them from iTunes.

For those of you who have become fans of Joss Whedon’s internet muscial, I wanted to let you know that there will be a DR. HORRIBLE panel on Saturday at Comic Con as well as a midnight viewing and sing-along.  I hope I can attend at least one of them.  Fingers crossed!

    Oh my god NO!!!

I’m still confused if it was a sad ending or not. But, wow. It was good.

It was an awful way to start a Saturday morning. I woke up all excited to see Act III. I loved the first 2 acts and I watched them over and over. Now I’m super-depressed. Thanks a lot Joss. I’m just going to pretend that there are only 2 parts to this show.

Wow- the ending was kinda depressing. I still loved every minute of it though and I’m sad it’s over.

Yeah – it felt like a bummer, but I have a feeling there will be more to the story. It feels like it just can’t end that way! I bet he’ll continue it someday. (Or maybe I am just hoping myself into a deluded state…)

I loved it. Everyone keeps complaining about how depressed and cheated they feel — welcome to being a Joss Whedon fan, guys. That man is never so happy as when he is driving knives into your heart. I’m impressed he was able to create such memorable characters and make me care about them in so short a time. It’s not exactly how I hoped it would end, but it’s definitely Whedon-esque.

It’s all amazing, and PLEASE don’t let there only be 3 episodes.
I NEED MORE, especially more NPH – – that man is FUNNY!

Whedon-esque? Yeah, I know, he kills off people. But Buffy was killed TWICE and brought back both times. This was supposed to be happy, and fun; not bleak and depressing. It’s a musical, so why should it be realistic? Ok, rant over. I did love it overall and I am now a huge fan of NPH. I never knew he had such range (as an actor and a singer). He’s got such an expressive face.

Kath – Thank you so much for posting this – I don’t know if I would have found it otherwise! Even though I agree the ending was a bummer, I definitely found it to be an entertaining internet series. I have a feeling there’s probably more in store, too, for Dr. Horrible – I can’t wait to see it. NPH did a great job – definitely very different from Barney! I think Joss Whedon does a great job with musicals – would love to see what he could come up with for the big screen in this genre!

Yeah, I’m surprised at what a bummer of an ending that was. I was enjoying it so much, and it was just so silly and fun – why’d they have to end it on such a downer? Ah well, here’s hoping that they continue with this, and keep it going, because I think there could definitely be more to the story than the note they left it on. And otherwise, kudos to NPH and Nathan Fillion for being so hilarious and spot-on!

I’ve been skimming over these comments since I don’t want Act III spoiled, but from what I’ve heard, it’s classic Joss. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

    Now, off to watch!

I just watched the last two parts of the show – and it was super depressing! However, having been a Buffy and Angel fan, I expect no less from Joss. That doesn’t mean I wasn’t sad and depressed, and wanting it to end differently, but Joss seems to do his best work when he’s making you cry … or want to scream at him for breaking your heart.

Thanks again for the links and notifications, Kath! I’m glad I was in on the action, and I’m expecting pics and news from your visit to the panel at Comic Con!

I’m so bummed, I completely missed the third act. Errr!!!! I guess I’ll have to buy it on Itunes now. I LOVED the first two acts. NPH is my hero, he makes everything he does interesting to watch.

Kath – I’d check the ComicCon schedule again. I think the Dr Horrible panel and showing are both on Friday.

I’ve been trying to get everyone I know to download it, but they just look at me like I’m crazy. It is one of the best things I’ve seen in years!
