About Last Night: 90210, HOUSE, & <s>PRIVILEGED</s>

It wasn’t a bad night for TV.  I was up way past my bedtime, but I think it was well worth it.  Check back in with me around 2pm today – if I’m tired and ready to crash then I might be telling a different tale.

90210…
It’s not that 90210 is horrendous.  In a different time maybe I would be digging this show.  But right now, it’s not for me.  I don’t find anything particularly compelling about it.  Yes, Jessica Walter is hilarious – I mean her taking over the mic and belting out “Spring Awakening” was brills, but then again I’m always a bit distracted because Tabitha really isn’t much different than Lucille Bluth.  And I’d rather see Lucille Bluth.  But other than that I was a bit ho hum about the whole thing.  I personally don’t find anything appealing about Shannen Doherty…or maybe it’s Brenda Walsh.  Either way – Team Kelly!!  Out of allegiance for the Bev9er of yesteryear, I haven’t given up yet, but when all the shows are back and the Tuesday night schedule is in full swing, it’s going to be tough to keep me watching.

P.S. Did anyone else love the Gossip Girl promo for that new Michael Cera movie.

House…
Since I already wrote about the premiere yesterday, I don’t really have much to add.  But I am interested to hear what you all thought of the drama at Princeton Plainsboro.  If this were a soap, House would surely be hooked.  Did anyone else just feel all kinds of rotten watching House and Wilson break up like that.  It’s hard to feel for House but I did.  Come on Wilson – it’s not like you dated her that long.  Get over Dead Cuthroat Bitch and make up with House!

P.S. Next week’s episode, “Not Cancer” is fantastic, and I’m not just saying that because of guest star Felicia Day (Penny from “Dr. Horrible”).  But I will admit that in a moment of panic when her characters health took a downward turn, I might have busted out with “It’s a brand new day/Yeah the sun is high/All the angels sing because you’re gonna die.”

Privileged…
Don’t worry…I haven’t given up on PRIVILEGE.  But last night my eyes gave up on me.  I started watching the show on DVR around 11pm and only made it about 20 minutes in when my eyes started closing and I was forced to go to sleep.  And please don’t think my tiredness had anything to do with the show – it didn’t!  Actually I was really liking the parts I did see.  Can’t wait to go home and check it out tonight.  But I wanted to open this post to find out what YOU all thought of the second episode.  Spill! Spill!

And with that, the comments are open and I turn GMMR over to YOU.  Thoughts on last nights shows?

I loved last night’s episode of house. However, just how you do not like Cuddy, I have qualms with Dr. Taub, the former plastic surgeon. I like it when Dr. House is being a jerk, but not when Taub is. He just gets annoying and doesn’t bring anything to the group, but debbie downner engery (which is House’s job!)

Agreed- Taub doesn’t contribute much. Actually it’s really all about 13 if you think about it.

I’ve never really liked Cuddy. I’ve always found her inappropriate.

Ah! So that *was* Felicia Day on the House premiere? That’s all kinds of awesome! I recognized the guy, too, the bearded-shaggy guy with the gorgeous blue eyes – but it took me a few moments to realize it was the actor who played Private Dancer on Scrubs! So having him and Felicia Day in one episode? Smashing!!!

Thirteen was fantastic on last night’s episode – I love her! I’ve never really enjoyed Taub, he’s just kind of “there” for me. But I do enjoy me some Kal Penn. And Cuddy! I can’t believe you don’t like Cuddy! But that’s okay, you were spot on about Wilson and House breaking up – I had a serious tear in my eye and a lump in my throat. It was incredibly depressing.

Whoops – and of course, by “that *was* Felicia Day on the House premiere”, you know I meant “the House PROMO” right?? D’oh.

I am really liking Privileged….dare I say more so than 90210. Honestly, the only thing keeping me interested in 90210 at this point is all the old school characters and references. Otherwise, I’d have bailed after the pilot.

But Privileged is a really smart, fun, well-done show. The acting is really good, even the twins. My only exception to that would be Lily but maybe she’s supposed to come across as a total air head. I am really hoping this show makes it. I know the CW rating bar isn’t very high so hopefully they’ll give it a chance.

But as Wilson said it was really aboutAmber, it was about what a toxic individual House is.

I can’t understand why Wilson put up with House as long as he has. I am sure they will make up and House will learn nothing and not change and still be a miserable excuse for a human being.

House is brillaint doctor who should be fired and never allowed near people ever again.

Loved House. The time was coming for that breakup. It had to happen. And I can’t wait to see more of Chase and Cameron. They are getting a whole episode (#7 I think).

There was too much to DVR for me to continue with 90210 and Privileged. I didn’t like them enough to have them on my DVR, but I checked first to see if I could watch them online and I can, so if I feel I am missing something, that’s how I will watch…it’s a more likely proposition with Privileged than with 90210 which just didn’t work for me (I think I am just too old).

Thanks for your post. 1 other thing is when you are disposing your property all on your personal, among the difficulties you require to be aware about upfront is just how to deal with residence inspection accounts. As a FSBO supplier, the key about successfully shifting your property in addition to saving cash in real estate agent commission rates is knowledge. The far more you realize, the smoother your sales effort might be. One location in which this really is particularly important is inspection reports.
