About Last Night: UGLY BETTY & GREY’S ANATOMY

September 26, 2008 by

Anyone else still feeling hungover from Thursday night TV?  It’s kind of nice though, isn’t it?

So we already covered THE OFFICE, SURVIVOR and in just a little bit we’ll be talking IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADEPHIA and SUPERNATURAL.  But for now let’s jump into UGLY BETTY & GREY’S ANATOMY, shall we?

Ugly Betty...
If you read post yesterday about the UGLY BETTY season premiere, then you know I was a little underwhelmed.  But hey, what do I know?  Talk to me.  What did you think of last night’s premiere?

Grey’s Anatomy…
Oops, I forget to mention yesterday that GREY’S was back last night.  But being TV addicts I assumed you figured it out all on your own.  I thought the premiere was good, not great, but good.  I could have done without all the dream sequences – what was the point?  I thought they were a bit gratuitous and served no one but the ABC promo department.  And I was actually a bit perturbed that they would bring Dead Denny back in such a way.  Don’t waste him.  He was a beloved character and I feel like they are just milking him.

Mad props to Christina for telling Meredith to shut it already.  How self absorbed can one person be?  There are people dying all around her and all can she can focus on is her relationship with Derek.  Someone introduce Meredith to a cold river again but this time don’t pull her out.

Kevin McKidd, sweet goodness how I love Kevin McKidd – yeah, that’s all I have to say.   He was fantastic.  I’m not sure I feel the chemistry between him and Christina yet, but who cares, Kevin McKidd is back.  McDreamy, McSteamy, and McLicious?  The hat trick of hot doctors.

Short and sweet this morning – your turn to talk….er type.

UGLY BETTY and GREY’S ANATOMY fans – the floor is now yours

Ugly Betty was okay. Very predictable. Lindsay Lohan was very good and I hope that will continue. I want more Justin and less Meades. DJ better know how to speak English by next week or be sent off to boarding school because the Frenglish is annoying, and I really don’t care about another precocious youngster. I’ll hang in because I like Betty, and Mark and Amanda, and hopefully they’ll actually come up with a story for the year. At this point it’s all over the place.

I liked Grey’s but it did fall a little flat for me . I think I built it up too much in my head and I probably shouldn’t have watched last years season finale so much over the past week.I was kind of liking th Izzy/ Alex vibe at the beginning of the show. I don’t really get the Denny thing but I’m sure that will be explained later. All in all not a bad epi. , could have used a litttle more MerDer anda little less of Merideth need in life to be perfect.

*Hey Mer….he is a gorgous Doctor who wants to build you a house and marry you….get over yourself!*

Ugly Betty was ok…I was basically just watching the clock for The Office!

Greys: I thought you and Dan nailed it on the head in your last podcast…using Denny like that was just a stunt that served no purpose. I like Izzy & Alex tension – but shouldn’t she have changed a bit since all the drama with Denny and George? And the commercials? OMG – thank goodness I could fast forward – b/c I feel like there were commercials after every scene! I thought Cristina stole this episode – which is fine by me!
