Woo hoo! You answered my question, too! I am only half way through the podcast, but I had to come and comment while I thought of it. Thanks for the info about Scrubs ... I'm a relatively new viewer, as I caught reruns while the fifth season was playing. I had no idea whether NBC moved it around a lot, but it seems they did. I tend to forget words in my comments/e-mails, but I think I meant that NBC hadn't given it a chance "to end", since from what I had read they gave the show only a set amount of episodes, and then when the strike happened they wanted the creator, Bill Lawrence, to change the last episode to "wrap things up". While I may not agree with where he chooses to end it (if it ends with Elliot/JD, that is!), I think NBC should have at least extended the season or given him the final season to wrap things up this way.

I believe that's what ABC did - though I'm not sure now! I would be okay with one more season, as I personally found it not quite as funny in the last season that aired. But now you say it might have more? Oy. Good to know, though ... thanks! (Can't wait to hear you talk PD, though I'm sure it will make me bawl).

Thanks for answering my question!
I’m glad you guys are interested in the show. While I agree with the criticisms that cite a meandering plot, it doesn’t bother me because the characters themselves are pretty interesting. Well, that, and also because I already know the identity of the killer. I can definitely confirm, although I can’t speak for all fans, that the show reached a whole 'nother level of awesome ridiculousness after episode 6, which I still hold to be the zenith of my experience with True Blood.

Vlada -
They did move it around a lot. I'm not saying that they didn't. But they did keep it on the air. Scrubs never got great ratings. Whether that was a result of a low audience or perhaps moving around the show on the schedule, we'll never know.

I gotta disagree about NBC and Scrubs. NBC moved that show around more times than I can count. It's amazing the show managed to hang on to as much of its audience as it did.

I shouldn't keep commenting as I listen, but Hiro didn't become a 10 year old in his body. He lost his memory of everything that has happened to him since he was 10. It was a time waster, but I wasn't at all confused by it.

Kimber:
There are other blogs to turn to for info about Scrubs.
http://sepinwall.blogspot.com/2008/11/looking-ahead-to-2009-scrubs-is-back.html
http://www.zap2it.com/tv/news/zap-abcmidseasonshuffle,0,2963193.story

Responding to GMMR's and Ducky's comments regarding Scrubs, I will agree that NBC did give the show a chance for the most part (though they underpromoted it and constantly changed its timeslot), but the main problem I had is that the creator Bill Lawrence was only planning to make about four more episodes in order to wrap up the entire show. And then after it was interrupted by the writer's strike, NBC said "Nope, we won't air them." So no finale for a show they had aired for 7 seasons.
I believe that the reason ABC picked it up is because it makes alot of money in syndication so the parent company wanted more episodes.

I love your long, rambling unstructured pod casts! Don't change!

I like the idea of Dean and Faith. Both bad ass and it would jsut be....hmmmmm.excellent!

And since there are pretty much no female characters on TV I like right now, I can't even give up any suggestions. I love Brennan from Bones but can't think of anyone good for her.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of Pacey and Veronica together!!!

I also like the idea of Buffy and Dean Winchester... although I suspect she'd go more for Sam. OR I like Faith and Dean... or Veronica and Dean. Mostly because I think they all know how to handle themselves and wouldn't put up with his crap. Of course, that may be cheating because Dean really isn't a part of a TV couple. But I digress.

Great podcast. You guys laughing made me wish I were there! Love ya!
