NPH Hosting SNL! It’s Going to be….

Perhaps the “legendary” joke has been played out, but the awesomeness of Neil Patrick Harris will never be.  As we told you about way back in December, Neil Patrick Harris will be hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend.

I can’t remember a time when I have been more excited for SNL.  I think Neil is going to be a natural.  And of course he’s going to sing…he has to, right?  What other skits might Neil take on this weekend?

A few possibilities…

  • A Doogie Howser Skit – Doogie is all grown up and has become an alcoholic, womanizing under achiever.
  • A HIMYM Skit – Barney hitting on Kristen Wiig’s Aunt Linda.
  • A Dr. Horrible Skit – In my dreams.

What else might the man of many talents be taking on this weekend.  I’m really starting to geek out.

    I’m crossing my fingers and toes for a Dr Horrible skit – I think enough people know about it that it just might happen… if not, it’ll still be the best SNL ever!!

    Can’t wait to to see it! I watched some Doogie Howser eps on hulu. Oh man. Just seeing him type his journal on his computer is hysterical. And I was alive and did watch it as a kid but still. NPH has become one of my favorites.

    This is going to be the best SNL episode EVER! I’m really, really hoping for a Dr. Horrible skit, too … that would really rock. And Barney hitting on Aunt Linda? Also awesome. Can’t wait!!

    They can’t not do Doogie. Whoa, say that five times fast. I’m also pretty pumped that Taylor Swift is the musical guest.

    Alas, none of those came true 🙁
    But Broadway was mentioned (I think he played that character in Rent, not so sure…)! Anyway, I loved him as the host and that just furthers his godliness.
