BROTHERS & SISTERS: It’s Not Easy Being Green

January 20, 2009 by

Jamie here again with your Brothers and Sisters action and this week’s episode was jam-packed with lots wacky Walker fun! This week with a few exceptions the Walker women were the focus, mainly Nora and Sarah and one hell of a party, so lets jump right in…

The episode begins with a big teaser in a hotel elevator, Nora, Sarah and Rebecca all stumble in separately looking tousled and very tired. Seriously they all looked wrecked and were lead to believe they all have been up to no good.

Flash backwards 48 hours.

Paige needs an outfit for a pre-teen dance party and Sarah is too busy to take her shopping, so she sends her off shopping with Nora. She makes the mistake of telling her to get whatever she wanted. OMG the dress Paige selected was a sparkly Britney Spears style mini dress. Sarah freaks and returns the dress causing a huge mother/daughter fight. Paige says some pretty terrible things that upset Sarah but they talk it out and Paige agrees to respect her mother and her decisions. Sarah even got the dress back, but with some add-ons like a jacket and tights…much more age appropriate!!

Much like she’s feeling at home, at Greentopia Sarah’s feeling old and out of touch. She’s convinced that she’s a liability to “Greentopia” because she doesn’t twitter or have a facebook page. Kyle and Ethan convince her that they can woo their big investor at their hotel roof top launch party, which they did. They get their money and it’s time to celebrate. The party looked fun and the booze was flowing, just ask Nora!

Nora and Roger are working together nicely and the plans are going ahead for the centre’s renovation/redesign. Roger sneakily snags an invite to the launch party as Nora’s date. I have to admit I’m beginning to like Roger. He didn’t appear as smug and cocky as last week. Nora and Roger flirt and even kiss before Nora passes mid-make out in the hotel room. She later apologizes and admits her feelings to him before kissing him again. Go Nora!

Justin is roped into being the new girl “Chelsea’s” sponsor at his AA meeting and when she needs help he misses the launch party and really disappoints Rebecca. I sense Chelsea might cause more problems between these two. After politely turning down Kyle’s romantic advances Rebecca passed out in the romantic hotel room she got for her and Justin.

Ethan drunk on champagne and success gets the courage to tell Sarah how he feels about her and kisses her. They get a room and things get a bit heated but Sarah stops before it goes too far. Sarah won’t use Ethan to make herself feel better, so they hug it out and get further hammered. So Sarah was a good girl as well.

Meanwhile Kevin and Robert are hunting with the rich Republicans. Kevin is an amazing shot, who knew? Kevin gets offended by the dudes and yells and throws a hissy fit while holding a gun. Robert is pissed and informs him that he needs to fix it and not everything is about him. Not the first time Robert has had to be the voice of reason to a self-centered Walker. Kevin apologizes to the bigwigs and praises Robert’s loyalty and character and they decide to back Robert’s governor bid. Robert now has to tell Kitty, and to quote Kev, “good luck with that!”

Thoughts:

  • Why did Nora, Sarah and Rebecca look so messy? I look in a mirror before I go out in public.
  • Kitty holding the gun and Robert’s grunt of approval was hilarious!
  • Tommy’s off buying land, his plan has gone forward, I wonder what’s going to happen??
  • Nora’s telephone good bye to Kevin, “Don’t get shot!” was priceless and her “No, I drink like a fish,” comment was side-splitting because she does!
  • Well, what are your thoughts on this episode?

Brothers and Sisters News: Rachel Griffiths Is Pregnant!!! [Source]
Congrats to our “Sarah” aka Rachel Griffiths, The Aussie actress is pregnant with her third child, according to People. Griffiths, 40, has been married to artist Andrew Taylor since 2002. They already have a son Banjo Patrick and a daughter, Adelaide Rose.

Thoughts on this week’s episode?  What did you think about the bait and switch – those writers are crafty. Are you liking Nora and Roger?  Do you think there is a future for Justin and Rebecca?  How will Kitty respond to the news of Robert’s career aspirations…and not being included on the decision?
