ABC’s Announces its 2009-2010 Schedule

ABC just announced it’s schedule the for the upcoming 2009-2010 TV season. The network has unveiled a number of new shows a few line-up changes that might surprise you.

The big renewal news was leaked last week – “Castle”, “Better off Ted” and “Scrubs” will be back. Much to the surprise of many, ABC canceled “Samantha Who?”, probably after it’s poor showing this season when it filled in during the break of “Ugly Betty”. Speaking of, the Emmy award winning comedy was moved out of its coveted Thursday night spot and moved to Fridays.  That was a bit of a shocker. No mention of “Lost”, but since that show doesn’t come back until 2010 I’m not worried.  “Lost” will most likely be back in its Wednesday at 10pm timeslot.

Because of the heavy cross promotion, I expected to see “Flash Forward” on Wednesdays paired with “Lost”, but ABC put it together with “Grey’s Anatomy” on Thursdays.  Looks like they are putting the push on winning Thursday nights.

“The Bachelor” will air Monday nights from 8:00-10:00 p.m. following the run of “Dancing with the Stars,” and “Scrubs” and “Better Off Ted” will air at 9:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., respectively, following the run of “Dancing with the Stars The Results Show.”
