The CW Announced its 2009-2010 TV Schedule

May 21, 2009 by

The CW just released its prime time lineup for the 2009-2010 TV season. The network is boasting three new series including a remake of MELROSE PLACE. More on these shows later today.

From a scheduling standpoint, the only big change was moving SMALLVILLE out of its Thursday at 8pm position to Fridays at 8pm.  The CW is following the trend of the networks trying to make Friday a more viable night for TV ratings.

9:00-10:00 PM ONE TREE HILL

TUESDAY

8:00-9:00 PM 90210

WEDNESDAY

Looking forward to Melrose. Hopefully it’s better than the 90210 reboot.
Finally they have a new supernatural series. This is what makes me miss The WB.
I will be checking out The Beautiful Life, because of Sara Paxton (Summerland) and Corbin Bleu (High School Musical).
It’s no big deal Smallville has been moved to Fridays. This will most likely be the last season any way, so, it doesn’t really have to do good.

Since The Game is cancelled you can pretty much bet that all african american viewers will boycott the CW.

I’m worried about the Vampire Diaries. The CW did Supernatural right but I don’t want a teen vampire drama soiling it’s reputation.

Does anyone know if the Gossip Girl spin off will be a mid season show for sure?
    Thanks!

It’s unfortunate that Everybody Hates Chris & Reaper are missing from the 2009-2010 lineup. Both were original & very entertaining. How many remakes of old programs do we need?

I am so glad that Supernatural and Smallville are still on the lineup, but I am disappointed that they are going to be on different nights. If Smallville is going to be on Friday, then so should Supernatural. They are like Sall and Pepper. They go together.

I think that it is very unfair that networks only promote caucasion shows. I think that there are enough successful and talented African Americans that networks should be proud to promote their work. The Game was a very good show and I am very upset that they will not be returning for a new season and I will never watch a caucasion show a day in my life.
