About Last Night…SYTYCD, THE GOOD WIFE, NCIS, THE BIGGEST LOSER

October 7, 2009 by

Today is one of those days where I’m going to turn it over to YOU!  I was quite the busy gal with our live chat last night and wasn’t able to watch all the TV I wanted to. My DVR is quite angry at me.

But just because I didn’t watch it doesn’t mean you didn’t.  Since GMMR is for all us, I wanted to give you guys the opportunity to talk about your favorite Tuesday night shows.  You never know, you might connect with other GMMRers who also love your shows, or you might just get a few new people watching.

I did manage to watch SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE last night.  There were some really fantastic auditions.  That little blonde Eastern European ballroom dancers was brazilliant! She kind of looked 40 with all that makeup, but did you see her spins?  She brought Mary to tears (although I don’t think it’s all that hard to do).  A lot of great stand out performances.  So excited to see Vegas Week tonight.

Last week I found out that many of you are fans of NCIS and NCIS: LA. You know me, I’m not one for procedurals, but I did record NCIS: LA last night based on your suggestions.  I don’t think you’ll ever get me watching NCIS, but the LA version has Chris O’Donnell..and I love me some Chris O’Donnell.  How was last night’s episode?  Any good?

I’m really bummed that I missed THE GOOD WIFE last night.  Hopefully I can get home early from work tonight and give it a once over before I have to dive into my Wednesday night shows.  I shouldn’t say anything until after I watch, but based on the ep description alone, I’m a little worried that every week Julianne Margulies’ character is going to find some personal connection with the people she is defending. I hope it goes beyond that.  Maybe I’m worrying for nothing.  Anyone else watching?

Oops, I just realized that I’ve fallen two weeks behind on MELROSE PLACE. I’m liking it way more than I did the reinvention of 90210. Seeing that I haven’t made time to watch last week’s episode, clearly I’m not liking it as much as I thought I was.  People seem very excited about the upcoming return of Heather Locklear. Her plastic surgery-ridden face is going to distract me, I just know it.  Let me hear from ya, MP fans.

So many other shows on last night.  If it weren’t two hours ever week I know I would really like THE BIGGEST LOSER.  Has anyone given the new Christian Slater show THE FORGOTTEN a looksy? What about SONS OF ANARCHY? That’s another one I wish I started watching at the beginning.  Curses.  Dare I even ask about THE HILLS?  How’s KCavs doing these days?

The forum is now turned over to you.  Let’s hear about what YOU watched on Tuesday night.

Lately I’m really liking 90210, it’s soo much better this season, and I’m actually liking it more than Gossip Girl right now. I’m also liking Melrose Place but I haven’t watch last nights episode yet. I’m also two weeks behind on the Good Wife, but I really liked the first episode. I haven’t watched SYTYCD yet because on Fridays me and my friends have a SYTYCD/Glee night haha, I’ll watch Glee twice but not the auditions for sytycd.

I’m loving me some Trazey on BL.

I missed most of BL because of the Twins/Tigers extra inning extravaganza but did tune in with enough time to see who went home. Can’t say I’m upset about the choice.

I’m enjoying The Good Wife. Has a bit of a Judging Amy feel to it. I’m not worried about Julianna investing too much. [Though that didn’t change this week. Just FYI.]

NCIS was so great last night- Tony and McGee getting chased by dogs was hilarious. I’m still not sure how much longer I’m going to stick with NCIS:LA though. It’s ok- but I’m just not loving it. I shouldn’t compare it to NCIS- but it’s not even half as good as the original. I don’t know- it’s just not working for me. I love Hetty though- she makes me laugh

Melrose needs Heather. The show blows without her. She is completely foxy and she CAN ACT! We’re waiting for the return of Amanada Woodward before we switch over.

bubblewrap, loving the NCIS mention! Nothing replaces DiNozzo, Gibbs, and Abby, but I liked the 2nd episode of NCIS:LA better than the pilot (haven’t seen this week’s yet).

I discovered that The Biggest Loser plays re-runs of this season on FLN (fine living network–Martha Stewart’s channel). So I got to watch the 3rd episode over the weekend, since my DVR is busy on their regular night. I couldn’t believe how off the deep end Tracy went with her 2 lb advantage and cupcake eating!

My other Tuesday DVR appointment is the World Series of Poker on ESPN. It’s getting closer to the November Nine! Any poker fans out there? Go Phil Ivey!
