Earlier in the season, Rita was just yelling, "Dexter, how could you?" a lot. Now, it's just, "Why? Because you're a father." But, as soon as I'm annoyed, I start to think and I'm not sure she's been anymore than that. Has she ever been the necessary mother to the much-needed family element of the show?
