I knew the moment Dexter listened to his voicemail that Rita was dead and I started screaming No NO NO NO nO nO NO NOoo until he found her in the bathtub ... heartbreaking. Absolutely heartbreaking. Honestly, I've never really been that attached to Rita's character and I feel like I'm more upset for Dexter than for her. I mean ... I'm upset that she's dead but ... he was sooo close to making progress. He finally opened up to her, he was finally going to really work at being "normal" and maybe stop killing ... and that was all snatched away from him. Sigh ... it just broke my heart. I agree I was in complete shock.

I was at the Dexter screening party last night where Clyde Phillips was in attendance - he overheard my assessment that "Dexter is f**king Hamlet." So many opportunities to "kill" the problem and in the end, caused an additional needless death. I am still in so much shock that I have not done my blog posting for it yet, but will do.
