SMALLVILLE: Charade - Give Me My Remote : Give Me My Remote

SMALLVILLE: Charade

Hey Smallvillers! I really liked this latest episode, Charade! And did you catch a glimpse of Lois in that bunny costume? Usually I hate flashbacks and the whole 24 hours prior thing but this really had my interest peaked when the ep opens with Lois punching Clark as she springs out of a cake half naked!

This week’s storyline was full of a little of everything. Lois and Clark attempt too make some huge relationship milestones, the daily planet has new blood, Clark finds out Lois is talking to someone she thinks is the blur and Tess and Chloe are still going at it! Lets just say there’s a lot going on and only a couple of episodes left to the season!

I liked the storyline this time around. The Daily Planet’s new Editor was refreshing to see. The fact that he decided to make them battle for their positions as reporters was different. I always complained in the beginning that the writers constantly bounced us around with the Lois and Clark storyline but now after all this time watching the pair consistently ogle each other has become a bit cumbersome.

Finally- their talking about the L word, the truth behind who they really are and are involved in a difficult career situation. It was surprising that Lois didn’t turn on CK and instead ran to the Blur for help in an effort to keep Clark safe. In doing so though a passerby manages to get a pic of the Blur, just what Ray Sacks is looking for! Lois also manages to talk Clark out of telling her his HUGE secret and doesn’t even know it.

The best part of Charade fro me (and the saddest) was watching The Blur say goodbye to Lois one last time in order to keep her safe. I was somewhat surprised the writers pulled the plug on Clark’s dual relationship with her before the season ends.

Genuinely upset by the shows end Lois is questioning her relationship with Clark and then the credits role until we find out what they decide next week. Now when it comes to Tess, Zod and Oliver, all three didn’t have a whole lot of screen time this week. The Green Arrow was apparently on a business trip while Tess and Zod were still busy plotting in the background. We were introduced to Maxwell Lord half way through the show but again Lois and CK’s relationship issues seemed to overshadow the weekly villain. Clark also finds out that Zod has been talking to Lois as the Blur.

Don’t miss next week! After this week’s main focus on Lois and Clark we’ll finally step way from the Metropolis’ couple’s love issues and get to see Chloe and Tess trapped together in Watchtower.
