SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE: Week 1’s eliminee talks backstage with GMMR

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE’s week one eliminee might be too cute for the judges’ taste, but God bless her, she most definitely took Thursday (June 17) night’s difficult news like a mature and professional young woman…

“I’ve really come to peace with the fact that I wanted to make it on the show, and I made that happen,” Alexie Agdeppa said backstage, not long after she was cut from the competition. “Whatever happened from then on out, it was like, I had to do my best, and I did my best, and that’s all I could do.”

Not everyone, however, was as collected as Alexie. I ran into to all-star Courtney Galiano, just moments after the broadcast ended, and the sweet, sweet girl actually teared up while talking to me about seeing Alexie go.

Thankfully, Alexie had the support and comfort of her week one partner, tWitch Boss, to help her through, and whatever he told her must’ve helped, because she came out smiling.

Watch the clip below to see what Alexie had to say about tWitch — who was at the top of her ‘I-want-to-work-with-this-all-star’ list from day one — plus what she plans to do next…

Okay, so good thing Mia stated emphatically, at the end of tonight’s show, that Alexie is going to work as a dancer, right?

When the camera was off, the 26-year-old actually told me that the next thing on her wish list would’ve been to share the stage with Michael Jackson, but since that’s off the table, she’s got to come up with a new dream.

But before she tackles that, she’s meeting up with me(!) for a private dance lesson(!). Yup. One-on-one. Korbi and Alexie. This weekend. So make sure you come back to GIVE ME MY REMOTE to watch how that all turns out…

Alexie was great. I was so surprised that there were three girls in the bottom 3. Not that I disagree with anyone who as said that the guys are SO strong this year, but that just surprsed me. Good luck with your dance lesson!!!
