HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER Welcomes HOUSE Star Jennifer Morrison

September 9, 2010 by

Back in July, GIVE ME MY REMOTE was eager to tell you about the new lady entering Ted Mosby’s life this season.

As HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER co-creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas explained, Ted will get a call from Goliath National Bank, asking him to take another stab at designing their new headquarters. However there is a catch: He’ll have to destroy one of New York’s historical buildings in order to erect his masterpiece and, for Ted, a lover of nostalgia with respect for such things, he’ll be conflicted. The conflict will change shape, though, when he meets a woman whose passion in life is to preserve and protect this building. Said Thomas, she’s someone who would picket the destruction and she and Ted will become bitter enemies.

Today, CBS confirms that HOUSE alum Jennifer Morrison has signed on to play this very significant recurring role, which will no doubt take a romantic turn for Ted.

Morrison’s character, Zoey, will be in at least five episodes this season, though she may stick around for several more.

So, thoughts?

How do you HOUSE fans feel about J Mo’s jump to comedy?

    Shit! WHY her?

Great News!!!! I guess I should start watching HIMYM then. Congratulations to Jennifer Morrison.

As for that other show, I stop watching House the moment she was fired…

I’m happy for her! I like Jennifer a lot, and I like HIMYM, can’t wait to see her in it. (and I’m done with House, haven’t watched most of season 6 and surely won’t tune into season 7)

Can’t wait to see her on HIMYM!! The 5th season of HIMYM was a bit weak and I lost a bit of interest, but Jennifer joining the cast is great news and I can’t wait for the new season to start. She’s a great actress!

I hope her arc is not long 😛 She is boring! She is surely not “the Mother”!

It’s really great for her. As Sandra I’m done with House MD but I still enjoyed the first seasons and I have always love Jennifer Morrison, as Dr Cameron. Can’t wait to see her in a comedy, she’ll be awesome !

Like some others have commented, I’m also done with House. I have always liked Jennifer though and I like HIMYM, so I’m really happy about this. Great match! Can’t wait to see her on the show!

Based on the reaction to Morrison’s departure from HOUSE last season, I welcome this news. Cameron was the strongest female character in that ensemble, and this addition to the HIMYM cast should propel that show’s primary story arc forward. Congratulations, Jennifer!

She is a crappy actress. They probably got her cheap but i was waiting for someone much better to play this role.

I’m happy for Jennifer Morrison, it was time for her to move on anyway. I watch House for Hugh Laurie since he is the main character, and it is his story being told. As long as Hugh Laurie plays House, I’m there.

I know who she is but as a non-House watcher (sorry!) I’m not familiar with her work. Carter & Craig can make most anything work so I am looking forward to this new arc!

It’s funny how some of the haters wouldn’t even recognize good acting when it’s thrown in their faces. STFU.

As and actress I think she is pretty weak. I´ve seen her in comedies and i don´t think it´s for her. But she is a sweet girl and i wish her all the luck in this world.

I think she is an adorable actress. I don`t know why people hate her. What has she done to you?
I loved her on House, Flourish, Big Stan and hey she is Kirks Mother 🙂

She got an extra creepy and bad written exit from House. The producers have done her no good with that.
The list of unemployed actors in LA is long and it is not easy to find a new job. I`m glad that she hit the part on HIMYM.
I`m happy for her and can`t wait to see her back on my screen.

I’m very happy for her. I loved her character on House and think “Cameron” has been sorely missed. Her ludicrous departure storyline was one of many reasons I finally gave up on that show. Since I have no desire to watch “Greg loves Lisa,” which is about all the FOX powers-that-be seem to be offering these days, I’ll give HIMYM a try instead.

Zoey is ruining HIMYM. Stop this crap now.
