THE VAMPIRE DIARIES: Brave New World

Previously on THE VAMPIRE DIARIES…
The bitch is back. And in case you weren’t sure the particular bitch I’m talking about, it’s Katherine. The doppel-vamp was all business and wasted no time in wreaking havoc on Mystic Falls. She stabbed Uncle John, seduced Stefan and killed Caroline (well, kind of). Anyone else ready to send her back to wherever she came from?
Yeah, me neither. She’s fabulous!
After Elena rejected Damon, he went a little berserk and snapped Jeremy’s neck. He survived. Thank God for the little ‘rings’ in life.
In “Brave New World” Elena Gilbert did her best to be a ‘normal’ teen by immersing herself in the Mystic Falls High carnival. Try as she may, this girl is doomed to be bathed in a dark light and no amount of cotton candy is going to let her escape her fate. Despite Elena’s protests, Stefan is the one to blame. If only he could have stayed away, I’m sure Mystic Falls would have been a nice place to visit. A quaint vacation spot. Now it’s just a hub of decimation and slaughter. (Not sure they should print that on their ‘Welcome’ brochures.)
BONES: Creator Hart Hanson Answers Questions on Season 5 Controversies

As many BONES fans are likely aware, there were a few, um, controversial storylines in the fifth season.
Whether it was Brennan turning down Booth’s request to give their romantic relationship a try in the 100th episode — which I loved, despite the heartbreak — or the team splitting up in the season finale — which I had issues with — viewers certainly had a lot to debate last season.
Before the new season begins, I thought it might be nice to chat with BONES creator Hart Hanson and get his take on a few of the storylines that divided the fans…

Castle and Beckett might have finally met their match.
ABC confirms to GIVE ME MY REMOTE that former OZ star Lee Tergesen has been cast on CASTLE as Gates, a serial killer nicknamed 3XK.
Tegersen’s arc will kick off in the seventh episode this season — titled “3XK” — and the network describes his character as being “a shrewd, hardened felon” who is a “savvy and ruthless adversary” for Castle and Beckett.
The news was first announced by CASTLE star Jon Huertas, who tweeted earlier this morning, “Yo! I’m very excited to have friend and fellow #Generation Kill alum, Lee Tergesen working on our next epi of #Castle! He’s a 1derful talent”
What do you think?
Will Tergesen make a good foe for Castle and Beckett?

IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA Season 6 Bows Tonight and We’re Talking to Danny DeVito and Charlie Day
September 16, 2010 by Korbi Ghosh
Filed under #1 featured, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

What kind of shenanigans will Frank Reynolds (Danny DeVito) be up to on this season of IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA?
“This year, it’s like, you know, it’s all very, very serious,” DeVito tells us in the clip below, speaking to us at the premiere. “Charlie and I bang.”
Noooo. He’s kidding. However, they do get married — and then divorced — as star Charlie Day (Charlie) explains during our premiere chat (also below). It’s all part of a gay marriage scheme, so that Charlie can get on Frank’s health insurance and it is some funny sh-t.
Not shocking if you’re a fan of SUNNY.
What else will go down during this 6th year of insanity?
Dennis, too, will tie the knot… with his high school sweetheart. The gang will get a boat. Dee will get pregnant. And Mac will fight to protect the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman in tonight’s opener, when he runs into the now-snipped tranny (Brittany Daniel) who has apparently married a dude.
But Day says there are a lot of good episodes this season: “I really enjoyed ‘The Gang Gets A New Member’ where we find out that there was once another member of the gang, played by Jason Sudeikis.” He’s also pumped about one of his favorite actors, Dave Foley of NEWS RADIO and KIDS IN THE HALL fame, guesting. And Tom Sizemore too.
Yep, Sizemore. Watch the clips, you’ll see…
Awesome.
Oh, and, you guys, the season 5 DVD of IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY dropped this week. It’s like $24 bucks. I, myself, have it in my hot, little hands and have taken a few hours to fly through the episodes for a second viewing at my leisure — so totally worth it. Kitten Mittens, The D.E.N.N.I.S. System, wrestling for the troops, the waitress getting married… a lot of good times. So go get it. Halloween is coming up and I think it would be a very appropriate thing to stuff in your neighborhood kids’ trick-or-treat bags, no? You’ll be super popular on your street.
Season 6 of IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA premieres tonight, Sept. 16, at 10 p.m. on FX.
And stick around afterwards for THE LEAGUE at 10:30 p.m. You’ll like it.

THE LEAGUE: Season 2 Starts in Vegas with Ochocinco and the Crew’s Fantasy Draft
September 16, 2010 by Korbi Ghosh
Filed under #1 featured, The League

Listen up, IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA fans: A couple different shows have tried to follow the lead of FX’s hit comedy series starring that gang of misfits known as Mac, Dennis, Charlie, Dee and Frank. However, only one has made it past its first season to a glorious second go-round and that show is THE LEAGUE.
If you didn’t stick around after SUNNY to watch it last year, I beg you to give it a shot tonight, when both series return with their respective premieres.
As you’ll see in the clip below, star Stephen Rannazzisi says THE LEAGUE — a half hour sitcom following a bunch of guys in a fantasy football league — is a show you’ll love if you’re a dude who has friends that you hate: “If you have friends that you love to make fun of and rip on and tear apart and make feel little, then you will absolutely love [THE LEAGUE].”
And what guy can’t relate to that?
THE LEAGUE is, in fact, a perfect pairing for SUNNY and I’m pretty sure you’ll dig the former if you harbor any affection for the latter.
Last year, I met up with star Paul Scheer — whom you’ll likely recognize from a few of his other TV accomplishments, including MTV’s HUMAN GIANT — to discuss THE LEAGUE over drinks and he told me that beloved NFL baller, Chad Ochocinco, was fan of the show and had hit him up about it over Twitter. We discussed the possibility of Ochocinco guest starring should THE LEAGUE make it to year 2 and — guess what — that’s going down tonight.
As both Scheer and Rannazzisi mention in our chats below, Ochocinco trekked to Vegas to appear in this evening’s opener, which finds the boys in Sin City for their fantasy football draft.
It’s a fantastic start to the season and you’ve got to watch the following interviews to hear what it was like being in Vegas with the big ‘O’…
So, yes, when you watch THE LEAGUE tonight, after IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA’s 6th season premiere, and you fall in love with it, go ahead and order the first season DVD which dropped this week. It’s just six episodes, but they’re super funny and you’ll fly through them, I promise.
THE LEAGUE season 2 premieres this evening, Sept. 16, at 10:30 p.m. on FX .

The stars of Fox’s fall season all recently gathered for what looks like a fun day of photoshoots.
Stepping in front of the cameras as themselves, and not in character, proved nerve wracking for Fox favorites like GLEE’s Chris Colfer and HUMAN TARGET’s Indira Varma, while Emmy winner Jane Lynch liked getting out of Sue Sylvester’s track suits.
In character or not, there were some pretty faces photographed that day. See for yourself…
Keep reading to find out when each of your Fox favorites is premiering.
