THE BACHELOR: Brad Womack Dishes on Madison’s Fangs and His Favorite Date

January 11, 2011 by

First of all, we have to talk about the most important thing that occurred in tonight’s episode of THE BACHELOR: Michelle turned 30.

In case you missed it during one of the five million times she mentioned it, yes, it was Michelle’s birthday. Can we all agree Michelle may be this season’s resident crazy chick? She got the rose during the group date, and she still stole Brad away for one-on-one time to ask him if he prefers Starbucks or The Coffee Bean? Really?

Ugh.

Tonight, instead of our traditional recap of THE BACHELOR, we’re going to do things a bit differently. I stalked caught up with Brad Womack at ABC’s Press Tour party this evening and got his take on one of the season’s most controversial contestants. Plus, he revealed which date he was most excited for fans to see…

As we’re speaking, the second episode of THE BACHELOR hasn’t aired. But the burning question in my mind is whether Madison, the woman with the fangs, is still around next week.
Brad Womack:
Yes. Can I explain Madison a little bit?

Yes, please explain the Madison attraction.
BW:
The thing about Madison…once we [established] that the fangs weren’t making a mockery of the show, that that was her true persona and that was one of the things she does, I actually kind of liked it. Call me a fool. But it was one of those things where she owns who she is and I liked that personality. I liked that boldness, you know? So yeah. I liked that. She sticks around.

Okay. Was there more to that initial meeting between the two of you than what we saw? Because from what viewers witnessed, she was super coy, she was closed off, but you thought the fangs were sexy, so she stayed.
BW:
So much more [to that conversation] and thank you for asking that, because you’re the only one who has asked that. People are so concentrated on her fangs…listen to what we just said. So focused on her fangs? Come on, that’s a joke in itself. But anyway, she’s actually a very deep woman, meaning there’s so much below surface level. And of course, God love them, but the producers and the editors are going to focus on the drama — meaning fangs and all of that — and over the top antics. But she’s a very, very deep person. You’ll see that as episodes progress. She’s a very, very good woman. She’s catching a lot of flak. I’m catching a lot of flak. “What are you thinking, you let go of so-and-so and you kept fang woman?” Well, she’s more than fang woman, I promise.

Fair enough. Are there any episodes or dates that you can’t wait for fans to see?
BW:
Yeah, tonight[‘s episode]. There’s a carnival date and it seems somewhat childish, but it was by far the best first date I’ve ever been on in my entire life. In 38 years! It was so much fun, there was incredible conversation. The woman herself was so much fun. I’m going to get in trouble [for talking]! But really good conversation occurred and we were able to act like five-year-olds. And you’ll see what I mean. It was a true carnival in the middle of the woods. She had no idea. Pitch black, the lights went on. Everything you see at a carnival, we had all to ourselves. So for me, I was like a kid. I had so much fun.

Yes, there is still much more to come from my chat with Brad, but for now, are you okay with Madison sticking around?

Did you love Brad’s date with Ashley H.?

Is Michelle crazy?

Let’s chat…

I am more than OK with Madison sticking around, in fact I am disappointed that she didn’t get more airtime last night. I’m guessing that she is quite intelligent and is a very interesting person. A knock-out too. Sadly, according to realitysteve.com, episode 3 will be her last.

I too was disappointed in the lack of Madison. I still think Brad is delusional, but I was missing some vampire facetime.

Michelle is crazy, but the good kind. Whatserface who kept crying was the BAD kind, and I’m glad she’s gone. Sucks that she took down that poor Rachel girl with her by implicating her in all the drama. I mean, I didn’t feel strongly about her either way, but she seemed sane enough.

Madison doesn’t bother me nearly as much as Michelle. I hope she gets called out for being crazy. But I felt so bad for Keltie. Her confession at the end had me cracking up and feeling so badly for her. She’s too fun and cute for Brad.
