90210: Lori Loughlin and Ryan Eggold Set To Leave Series

January 26, 2011 by
Filed under #1 featured, 90210, TV News

90210 is following in its predecessor’s footsteps, saying peace out to the adults as the college years approach.

Just like Jim and Cindy Walsh (and Nat too!) pretty much disappeared from BEVERLY HILLS, 90210 once Brandon and the gang became legal, TVLine.com is reporting that Lori Loughlin (Debbie Wilson) and Ryan Eggold (Ryan Matthews) will depart 90210 at the end of the current season.

Rob Estes, who played Loughlin’s onscreen husband, left last season.

Any thoughts?

Think it’s the right move?

Kate Walsh Checks Back In To GREY’S ANATOMY

Comments Off on Kate Walsh Checks Back In To GREY’S ANATOMY

GREY’S ANATOMY fans, mark down March 31 in your calendars: ABC has confirmed that PRIVATE PRACTICE star Kate Walsh is bringing Addison back to Seattle Grace!

According to TVLine — who first reported the crossover news — Addison will be returning to her old stomping grounds to help out with a medical crisis. While the exact details aren’t known, it seems like it would be a safe bet that something is wrong with Callie’s baby, right? The last time Addison showed up on GREY’S ANATOMY, Mark flew her in to help with Sloan’s difficult pregnancy, so it would stand to reason that he’d do the same thing if his unborn child was in danger.

White Collar: ‘Forging Bonds’

Finally! At long last we learn how Neal became a con artist, how he met Mozzie, Kate and Alex, how Peter tracked Neal down, and what Mozzie looks like with hair.

Neal and Peter have both discovered that Vincent Adler is the man behind Kate’s death, and in this episode, they sat down over some beers (and a questionable bottle of wine) for a walk down memory lane. It was interesting to see the story unfold from both perspectives and see how the pieces fit together to form the white collar crimes team we know and love today.

Hey, HELLCATS fans!

The show returns tonight with brand new episodes on The CW, and it’s certainly bringing the drama.

Last we saw our band of cheerleaders, Marti and Dan had hooked up in the back of a car — despite the fact that he had spent the better part of the season dating Savannah. Marti admitted the truth to Savannah and things weren’t good between the roommates.

So where do they go from here?

Tune in tonight to find out, and check out these previews to get a sneak peak…

GLEEks, are you holding up okay?

It’s been a while since there was a new episode and we’ve still got nearly two more weeks until our next fix. The good news is the buzz around the post-Super Bowl hour indicates it’s shaping up to be worth the wait.

Unfortunately, Jayma Mays (Emma) will be MIA in that episode, but during our recent chat she did spill some thoughts on the Will-Emma-Carl triangle, Emma’s V-card status and more…

CHUCK: ‘Chuck vs. The Gobbler’

January 25, 2011 by

Hey Nerdherders!  Kath is traveling, so I’ll be covering Team Bartowski in her place this week.  When we left off, Chuck had spent the hour trying repeatedly to propose to Sarah in front of some very unrealistic-looking green screens.  Alas, as Kath put it last week, he was rock-blocked at every turn, even when everyone including his intended bride was trying to help things along.

But despite all of their efforts, Sarah was swept away at the last second for a secret mission to infiltrate Volkoff’s inner circle, take him down and get Mama Bartowski back with her family.  Last night picked up a few weeks later with the bizarre scene of Sarah, in a black wig, kicking the living crap out of Casey.  In order to find out how things got to that point, we were taken back two days to retrace the steps.

President Obama will be delivering his State of the Union address this evening, so there’s not a ton of new TV on. Regardless, there are several options.

The CW is still kickin’ it with the return of ONE TREE HILL and HELLCATS in a new time slot. One of my entertainment heroes, Ms. Joan Rivers, has the debut of her new reality series on WE. Plus, there’s a very special episode of WHITE COLLAR on tap at USA, as well as SOUTHLAND on TNT and LIGHTS OUT on FX.

Check out the highlights from tonight’s lineup…

The Biggest Loser | 8pm on NBC
“1104”

The contestants are faced with the “ultimate temptation” this week when each team enters a room filled with each player’s favorite foods. Whoever eats the most calories gets to choose which team will go train with the “unknowns” and the new trainers. Later, the stakes are high with a calorie-counting challenge that will give the winners what they want most – letters from loved ones back home. The trainers confront a contestant they think threw the last weigh-in, and later, trainer Jillian Michaels puts trainer Bob Harper through an intense yoga workout to show the players what they’ll ultimately be able to do once theylose weight. Then one player takes matters into their own hands to try and send a contestant home.

One Tree Hill | 8pm on The CW
“The Drinks We Drank Last Night”
After a wild night out on the town for her bachelorette party, Brooke (Sophia Bush) and the girls try to piece together the night before amidst the wreckage of the day after. Jane’s addiction musician Dave Navarro guest stars as himself.

Hellcats | 9pm on The CW
“Papa, Oh Papa”
Marti (Aly Michalka) endures a tense ride to sectionals with the Hellcats on the heels of her admission that she hooked up with Dan (Matt Barr). Alice’s (Heather Hemmens) father (guest star Mario Van Peebles) surprises Alice when he shows up to watch her fly. Alice confides to Lewis (Robbie Jones) that she hasn’t told her father that they broke up or that she was replaced as a flier. Not wanting to disappoint her father, Alice blackmails Savannah into giving up her spot as a flier by threatening to tell the squad that Savannah helped get Memphis Christian a free ride to sectionals.

HOUSE: Carrot or Stick

Filed under #1 featured, House, House Recap, Posts by Erik

This week’s HOUSE dealt with tough love, a concept that is irrevocably linked with my new day-to-day responsibilities as a teacher. Students are not homogeneous, and the demands of educating the masses can often leave a chosen few behind. Kids who fear the judgment of their peers, struggle to reach out for help, and shudder at the thought of appearing interested in their grades.

The best teachers use methods as diverse as the faces who they lecture to or work alongside. Whether they run a diagnostics department or a boot camp for troubled teens, mentors take whatever steps are necessary to get their message across.

THE BACHELOR: Brad, Please Step Away From the Crazy Woman

January 25, 2011 by

Considering the fact that I focus on the craziest of the crazy moments on THE BACHELOR in these posts, I feel like a lot of my time is going to be spent writing about Michelle.

I cannot freaking believe that nutcase is still around.

Yes, her date with Brad went well, but I have to wonder what the heck he’s thinking now as he’s watching this back. Assuming he didn’t pick her, is he horrified? If he did pick her, is he second-guessing his life choices? Or maybe he thinks it’s just bad editing?

We only know what we see. And I see someone I want off the show.
