BONES Spinoff Lands Saffron Burrows - Give Me My Remote : Give Me My Remote

BONES Spinoff Lands Saffron Burrows

February 14, 2011 by

The potential BONES spinoff has filled its final lead role.

Fox has confirmed to Give Me My Remote that Saffron Burrows (LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT, BOSTON LEGAL) has landed the role of Ike in the upcoming 19th episode of BONES, which is a backdoor pilot for the possible spinoff. Burrows joins the previously cast Geoff Stults (Walter Sherman) and Michael Clarke Duncan (Leo).

The potential spinoff — whose working title is THE FINDER — follows former military man Walter, who can locate anything. However, his polarizing personality — including extreme paranoia and blunt questions – makes him difficult to deal with. He’s brought into the BONES world via his connection to Booth, but the two men have a longstanding grudge against each other.

Burrows’ Ike is one of Walter’s partners, who the script describes as “highly intelligent, well-educated, and living with a secret.” Ike is also Walter’s bartender and a pilot. In other words, the chick is pretty hardcore.

Now that the potential spinoff is fully cast, what do you think?

I am cautiously curious. Nothing has really pulled me in so far, but I might give it a look/see.

Darn it, now I have to check in with that Bones episode. She’s so gorgeous and all smoky. I could see her in something campy or cool, but don’t know about the fit. Hart Hanson’s about as blandly middle brow as you can get.

I just watched that Bones episode, and it was obvious that they were setting up these 3 new characters for a spinoff, but I gotta say that I’d watch it for sure. That episode pretty much centers around the ‘finders’, and they were pretty entertaining. Make that show!
