February 14, 2011 by

Happy Valentine’s Day, readers!

Love is in the air, cards are being exchanged, chocolate is being given freely. So what better day to take a look at some of our favorite television romances?

Here at Give Me My Remote, we’ll be posting polls all day so you can vote which couples make your heart leap…or turn to stone.

Please note that unless specifically expressed, these polls are for current television couples and we’ll only include one couple per show for each category.

And since television love is complicated, let’s get your take on TV’s best — and worst — love triangles from this season…

NO need to revisit Finn/Quinn…DOES not work because he clearly doesn’t love her and is on the rebound. Besides, what Quinn did to him was unforgivable. You ca’t root for them. He loves Rachel. FInchel is the story.

I hate love triangles, no one on TV writes them properly, the writers all seem to worried about properly messing up the central couple, I cant think of one good triangle where I’ve been properly torn about who the central character should pick.
Hannah on Bones was the most awful recent example of how to make a really rubbish love triangle!
Finn/Puck/Rachel/Quinn seemed like it might have potential for a little while, but then they wrecked it when they shoved Sam into it, I really don’t care who ends up with who. Plus Ryan Murphy has stressed way too many times that Finn and Rachel will end up together, which takes all the fun (and I suppose the anxiety for all the crazy crazy FINCHEL 4EVA! shippers) out of any triangle they’re in!!

I must be the only person on earth that loves 90210. 🙂

    I love watching Fauxlivia/Peter/Olivia on Fringe! I despised Booth/Brennan/Hannah… who didn’t?

Love me some Josh Charles…this vote was easy…especially because I don’t like to think of Gabe as part of the Erin/Andy lovefest! 😉

Booth, Brennan and Hannah was the worst love triangle. Ugh, I hated that blonde bimbo -.-

Love Triangles are the thing that have me reaching for the remote. I absolutely detest them, especially when they’re written and characterised so poorly as the Booth, Brennan and Hannah debacle. Especially when the writers think they’re so clever by having the two women in the triangle become best friends, even after sunglasses have been stolen and feelings blown out all over the place. It deserves every percentage point it’s getting up there in the worst triangle award.

The worst of the worst has to be Booth, Brennan and Hannah. She ruined the show I cringed every time she was in an episode.

Why doe’s HH refuse to admit he made a mistake with Booth/Brennan/Hannah?

Hmm…I wonder if Hart Hanson saw this poll? It just goes to show us how poorly the writing has become on the series when you add in that Bones was voted as having the worst season finale 2 years in a row.

I’m afraid HH/SN have taken a wonderful series and turned it into crap by trying to keep B&B apart.
