Who Went Home on AMERICAN IDOL?

April 28, 2011 by

With only a handful of contestants left, the AMERICAN IDOL results show is going to get tougher and tougher each week. Tonight, a fan favorite left the IDOL stage to the surprise of many.

So was it Lauren, Scotty, Casey, Hayley, Jacob or James who left the show today?

Find out after the break.

Looks like this cat only has two lives. After being spared in the first few weeks of the competition by the ‘Judges Save’, Casey Ambrams left AI this evening. Casey was an early favorite and perhaps one of the most true and honest musicians ever to grace the IDOL stage. But AMERICAN IDOL is a TV reality show and people with varying tastes call the shots. Perhaps Casey’s originality didn’t resonate with all, but I thought he was one hell of a singer and guys like him making it this far in the competition gives me hope – hope that the younger generation that picks up the phones and votes is willing to broaden their musical horizon past the generic Disney pop stars that are passed off as talent these days.

Thanks for what you gave us Casey…you’ll be missed. (And way to go out tonight…that was one hell of a final performance!)

Completely agree with you. He was a true artist, so entertaining, and I am sad to see him leave. I didn’t think he deserved to win, but he was in my top 3. Sad that some people are just sailing through, when real talent like Casey has to leave.

Bitter are we? entertaining he is but can he sell records ? In my view his best was when he sang with Haley that was great should be a record for sure. there can only be one Idol and getting exposure is the real motive here right? They all will have a great future ahead of them… maybe even Ms. Pia will get a record deal NOT.

although casey is a good entertainer and singer i think at this point of the competition it was his time to go. caseys often displayed a hard face while singing and this was a big turn off for me and other people i talked to who watched the show. good luck casey!

Yes, I am very sad Casey left but not surprised. It is so evident this year that the voting system on American Idol is flawed leaving the winner in the hands of 13-15 year old girls who vote for the cutest guy or the girl they most relate to. Talent has nothing to do with it. Casey is the most talented contestant Idol has ever had.
