THE FINDER Loses Saffron Burrows - Give Me My Remote : Give Me My Remote

THE FINDER Loses Saffron Burrows

May 25, 2011 by

THE FINDER is going to look a little bit different when it makes its way on the Fox schedule.

As first reported by EW, Saffron Burrows — who played Ike, Walter’s bartender and pilot, in THE FINDER’s backdoor spinoff/pilot episode of BONES earlier this year — will no longer be a part of the show going forward as the producers are taking the character in a new direction. Fox could not officially confirm her exit.

While Burrows had been included in the press release and photographs about the show when the series was officially picked up, her name was noticeably missing from the sizzle reel advertisers were shown at the Fox Upfronts last week.

What do you think? Do you wish TPTB had kept Burrows around? Or are you glad the character of Ike will be revamped before the show officially debuts?

Now just cancel the entire show….. I have no interest in watching this
    piece of garbage.
FOX read the viewers reviews…… most people did not like it.

THE show Cold Case is cancelled which was a great show…go figure.

Sorry Eric but I liked the show & I will certainly be watching. It’s a pity about Saffron being replaced as I enjoyed her as Ike.

Have no fear Saffron. As bad as the pilot of The Finder was I am certain
your two former co-stars will be on the unemployment lines soon after the
    first episode is shown.
This was really one bad spin of/pilot what ever you want to call it.

The writing was directed for high school level viewers and the acting
    was just plain bad.
I agree with Eric on the fan viewer reviews most canned The Finder. I read that The Finder
had a 9% loss of viewers for the week of showing.
Just overall a real bad show.

I want Burrows back she added a certain flavor to it all!!
I think their Bones debut was funnier than their pilot but we shall see how the show progresses…I hope it works out with Burrows back on and it getting back to bring funny!!

We want saffron back. Her character was interesting enough to make us come here to find out where she went.

Yeah the bones episode was way better than the regular show. I actually didn’t like the 1st one at all. But the show is getting better. But I think it would be much better with ike (saffron)! Bring her back!

Im watching the cancelled show on Netflix now, and I saw the Pilot/back door episode when it aired. I have to say, replacing Saffron Burrows was a big mistake. The three leads had super cool chemistry that is sorely lacking in the “re-imagined” episodes. I really enjoy the plots and dialogue but it just didn’t have that special magic that a great show needs without Ike. Too bad. It was almost a really cool show.
