GLEE Recap: ‘Funeral’
May 17, 2011 by Samantha Simorangkir

After the fantastic prom episode, I was fully prepared to be underwhelmed this week, but I was pleasantly surprised. All thanks to the deliciously bitchy Jesse St. James, awesome solo numbers from all of GLEE’s best vocalists, and a Sue Sylvester storyline that was touching but not overly sappy (as it often can be).
Jesse’s turn as Show Choir Consultant was a brilliant excuse to have him involved in Rachel and rest of the New Directions’ lives. I love that he took a Reality Television class at UCLA. I love that he drew a cat on his notepad instead of jotting down critiques during Santana’s performance. I love that his snide remarks are igniting a fire in Finn, allowing him to man up and make decisions (and help him wake up to his feelings for Rachel). I still can’t trust him as far as I as throw him, or throw my soul into ev-e-ry open door…oh sorry, I was having a flashback to last week’s “Rolling In The Deep.” (I’m OBSESSED with that scene. OBSESSED.)
Who Went Home on DANCING WITH THE STARS?

The elimination this week was pretty obvious after the judges basically told Chelsea & Mark that they were safe last night. I love how Hines, Ralph, and Kirstie were talking about breaking points, but the closest to Chelsea talking about breaking points was getting bad judges critiques? Chelsea still lacked anything dramatic. I was hoping she would start crying about how Mark threw water at her to emphasize how easy she’s had it during this competition.
Ralph made Twitter remarks saying that the judges threw him under the bus and it’s true. This wasn’t like last season with Bristol and Brandy because out of nowhere, Len is throwing 7s at Ralph. He deserved at least 8s. Bristol may have been over scored, but she was closer to Brandy. It’s obvious that if the judges really wanted to get rid of Bristol last season, Len would have given her 7′s or at least 8′s.
RAISING HOPE: Lucas Neff and Shannon Woodward Tease the Season Finale

RAISING HOPE concludes its freshman season tonight with what I think is the funniest episode the series has done to date.
Don’t believe me? The episode boasts an impressive amount of hilarity stemming from flashbacks, parties, Mee Maw as you’ve never seen her, surprising connections and “Drakkar Noir.”
I caught up with series stars Lucas Neff (Jimmy) and Shannon Woodward (Sabrina) before the PaleyFest panel honoring their show and they teased what fans can expect in the finale… Read more

It’s down to the final four contestants, and this week kicks off with a fun cooking competition to see who can make the tastiest turkey burgers for a group of kids. Then it’s off to the golf course, where season ten winner Patrick House is waiting to cheer the players on as they “put the weight back on” in one of the toughest challenges of the season. Carrying a heavy golf bag filled with flags weighted for how much they lost each week, each player races from hole to hole, dropping the flags along the way and reminding themselves just how far they’ve really come. Also, the contestants get to make calls to eliminated players to see how they’ve been doing at home, and later, they have their final last chance workout at the ranch with the trainers. Then one last weigh-in determines who the two definite finalists will be – and which two contestants fall below the dreaded yellow line, leaving America to vote which one will be the third finalist to compete for the grand prize of $250,000.
One Tree Hill | 8pm on The CW | Season Finale
