THE VOICE Finals: What Were the Best Performances So Far?

June 28, 2011 by

On THE VOICE, it’s all come down to this: one singer representing each coach, battling for America’s votes.

We’ve seen several weeks of performances from these remaining finalists, but which songs most struck a chord with us? We’ve picked our favorite musical numbers of the season so far for you to revisit!

Team Adam’s Javier Colon
“Time After Time”

During Javier’s initial blind audition, Adam told him, “I want to win this ****…so I really, really need you to pick me.” Sure enough, we’re at THE VOICE finals, and Javier is the last man standing on Team Adam. While he’s had many memorable performances since his blind audition — after being in the live audience for the show, it’s possible the fastest way to get the crowd to freak out is to show a glimpse of Javier — his rendition of “Time After Time” still stands out.

Team Blake’s Dia Frampton
“Heartless”

When Blake heard Dia’s blind audition, he pushed his button to select her for his team almost immediately. Dia always sounded lovely, but when she did her quarter-finals rendition of Kanye West’s “Heartless,” everyone took notice. Since then, she’s been one of the most downloaded VOICE contestants on iTunes.

Team Cee Lo’s Vicci Martinez
“Jolene”

Vicci wasn’t the first reality show contestant to tackle this impressive Dolly Parton song, but the combination of her distinctive voice, her guitar and her passion made this quarter-finals performance unforgettable. America was impressed, too, and she got their vote to move on to the next round.

Team Christina’s Beverly McClellan
“Piece of My Heart”

Beverly’s blind audition might not be the best vocal performance she’s had of the competition, but there’s no denying the overwhelming amount of fun she conveyed from the first second we were introduced to her. Every time Beverly is on stage, you can tell there’s no where else she’d rather be.
