Another Thursday, another pair of dancers gone from SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.

While there were certainly a few dancers who didn’t meet the judges’ standards last night, the bottom three couples ended up being a mix of the unexpected and the anticipated.

Which dancers were in danger of elimination? Keep reading after the break…

Despite a solid zombie routine, Ryan and Ricky landed in the bottom 3 couples, much to the surprise of the judges. On the other hand, Jordan and Tadd and Ashley and Chris landing in the bottom 3 was a bit more expected.

After the contestants danced for their lives, Nigel warned the dancers that they’d all have to step it up if they wanted to continue in the competition before announcing that partners Ashley and Chris would be leaving the competition tonight.

    i honestly think that ashley and chris should’ve gone the first week. and last week i thought it was a travesty that miranda got sent home!!! her dance for your life performance was amazing…

    Ryan needs to go home…NOW. Can’t stand watching her. I liked Ashley although her dance last night was just okay (but still better than Ryan IMO)

    Why do the judges love Ryan so much?? I would have liked to have seen her go – have thought she should go since the beginning. She doesn’t even fit into the group routines because she is so gangly, she seems to always be in the way.

    IT’S ABOUT TIME! I agree that they should have gone first week. While I’m not completely downhearted by all those that have been eliminated, I do believe that Ashley and Chris should have gone sooner, giving another couple more time to grow.

    Totally disagree that Ashley should have gone home sooner! She was amazing and beautiful. Even Nigel said that his problem was that she was consistently performing at such a high level (!); he wanted to see more variation. I’ll never forget Debbie Allen tearing up as she told Ashley how beautiful she was. Ashley definitely brought it.

    I’m hoping that her career will continue to grow and benefit from having been in the Top 14. The world needs more performers (and teachers) like her.

    I honestly am shocked Ryan keeps ending up in the bottom three. I see her and her partners incredible ability but Nigel said it right – for some reason the public is not relating to them as a couple. I am not sure if that is the case or Ryan being so reserved is causing the problem. It certainly isn’t their dancing, as it is beyond amazing. So America lets just ignore the personality and go with the ability.
