CASTLE Nabs Kristin Lehman For Guest Spot

August 23, 2011 by

Castle may have confessed his love to Beckett at the end of the third season finale of CASTLE, but that doesn’t mean the duo is heading for a happily ever after right away.

When I talked with CASTLE executive producer Laurie Zaks recently, I asked whether there would be any more significant others coming in to play this season. (As fans no doubt recall, last season Castle was involved with his ex-wife Gina for a bit and Beckett spent most of the season with Josh and may still be dating him.) For those who were hoping the answer would be a resounding “no,” well…things aren’t entirely going in that direction.

While Zaks initially joked, “Ask me after the [season] premiere,” she did tease that during an upcoming investigation, Castle would meet “an attractive woman. A female insurance investigator.”

And now that potential romantic love interest has been cast: TVGuide.com is reporting that Kristin Lehman has landed the role of Martina Kaye, who is the aforementioned insurance investigator.

What do you think? Are you okay with a potential love interest for Castle?

I won´t watch the episodes with SOs in the picture this season. I had enough last season. This series is becoming a bad soap opera which is a pity because I loved the first 2 seasons.

I’m interested to see what this means for the show and the story…and I have full confidence that the amazingness that is the creative forces behind Castle (esp. Mr. Marlow) will make it work…even if it does frustrate me a little at the time!

WOW , another SO, really ? I don´t want them together yet but after Castle´s confession last season this is ridiculous. I think I will watch smash this season instead of Castle . I used to watch castle to have fun but it seems that the writers run out of ideas and this season seems like the beggining of the end for this show.
