TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN: Paul Bishop Talks Interrogating on the ABC Reality Series

August 16, 2011 by
Filed under #1 featured, Take the Money and Run

Like any self-respecting fan of television crime shows, I’ve seen my fair share of interrogation scenes in scripted television. However, ABC took the game to a whole new level with their reality series TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN.

On the show, two contestants are given one hour $100,000 to hide. While they do that, their every movement and call is tracked, until they are collected by two detectives who are assigned to find the case. If the case stays hidden for 48 hours, the contestants win it. If the detectives find it, they get the prize.

Assisting the detectives in their quest to find the money is two seasoned interrogators, Paul Bishop and Mary Hanlon Stone. While you’d think people might be able to hold up to interrogation with a limited time frame and $100,000 on the line, it’s not as easy as it appears.

I took the chance to talk with Bishop about his interrogation techniques, how he got involved with TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN, his partnership with Mary and more…

Warehouse 13

Hey WAREHOUSE 13 fans! How did you like “Don’t Hate the Player”? I’m honestly not sure how I feel about it, and I’m wondering if it’s the sort of episode where viewers either loved it or hated it.

It’s rare that WH13 can make me think “WTF?” but this one did a few times. It seemed almost too goofy at times, and then it got dark — and fast. However, any main issue I had was countered by the excellent work from Allison Scagliotti (Claudia) throughout the entire episode. Do you agree?

BACHELOR PAD 2: This is a Competition, Right?

August 16, 2011 by

Considering how many people came on BACHELOR PAD 2 to score $250,000, you’d think more of them would be taking the game seriously, right?

Instead, everyone is treating the game as if it was a vacation. Or perhaps THE BACHELOR or THE BACHELORETTE. You’re not here to find love, people. Sure, it could be a perk, but you’re supposed to be there for the money. (And not-so-secretly to get a few extra minutes of air-time before your reality career fades away.)

Which makes what went down in Monday’s episode of BACHELOR PAD 2 all the more baffling… Read more

FRINGE: William Sadler Set to Return

August 15, 2011 by
Filed under #1 featured, Fringe, TV News

Uh oh…this may not bode well for the sanity of FRINGE’s Walter Bishop: Fox has confirmed to Give Me My Remote that former FRINGE guest star William Sadler will be reprising his role as Dr. Sumner in the third episode of season 4.

As die-hard fans may remember, Sadler first appeared in the season one episode, “The Equation,” as a psychiatrist who opposed the release of Walter from St. Claire’s Hospital. Given that season 4 exists in a world where an adult Peter was never around to take custody of Walter, Dr. Sumner’s appearance can’t mean anything good for our dear Dr. Bishop, can it?

THE GLEE PROJECT: ‘Generosity’

Can you believe we only have one more week of THE GLEE PROJECT? Next week is the finale and I keep debating about whom I want to win (Samuel! No, Damian! Oh, but why can’t Cameron come back?) because all of these kids are so talented! But before we get too ahead of ourselves, we have to discuss this week’s episode!

The theme was “Generosity” and the special GLEE guest mentor was Kevin McHale (Artie), who could not be cuter if he tried. The contestants sang “Lean on Me” for their homework assignment and for once, I agreed with the winner – Lindsay! After that, Kevin announced they would be singing “Sing” by My Chemical Romance (which I loved when they performed it on GLEE) for their music video shoot and performing with instruments – which it turned out only Samuel knew how to play – and a few very special guests. I thought this episode started off on a great foot because of all of that, so let’s touch on the highs and lows of the rest of it:
