GLEE: McKinley High’s Class of 2012 Revealed?

September 1, 2011 by

Are we getting our first look at the McKinley High Class of 2012 Seniors?

Since the news broke that Rachel (Lea Michele), Finn (Cory Monteith) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) would be seniors in Season 3, the writers have remained rather hush hush as to who else might be getting their diploma at the end of this school year. The creators have promised to reveal this year’s graduating seniors during the shows S3 premiere on September 20th.

But are these newly released GLEE S3 promo shots dropping some big hints?

Do you think it’s just a coincidence that the three confirmed seniors are all striking formal poses in front of that yearbook-blue backdrop? Perhaps. But maybe not.

Based on these pics (and my wild assumptions) maybe, just maybe, Puck and Mercedes will be kissing their high school days bye come May.

Seems likely, no?

Perhaps I’m poorly postulating though. (And just having a little GLEE fun to pass the time.)

If my yearbook photo theory was correct then why are Santana (Naya Rivera) and Quinn (Dianna Agron) flaunting their gorgeous faces in front of the red curtain? They are both seniors, right? Weren’t they both in the running for Junior Prom Queen this year? Maybe the rules of HS have changed, but don’t you need to be a Junior to be Junior Prom Queen?

Come on, no way Santana was a sophomore this past season. And I don’t buy for a second that Quinn Fabray was head Cheerio – and a pregnant head Cheerio – during her Freshman year. Nope. There has got to be evidentiary proof to support that (come on Gleeks, help me out.)

As for the other McKinley High kids, maybe I could buy that, like Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), you are all going to be Juniors this year.  I’ll roll my eyes of course, but I’ll buy it…except for you Dalton boy.  No way is last year’s “junior member” Blaine Anderson not graduating this year with Kurt. He has to be a Senior. I refuse any other truths.

UPDATE: Seems Naya has confirmed that Santana is a senior. Thanks GLEEks!

Wrong. Santana has been confirmed a senior by Naya Rivera. Mike has been confirmed a senior by Harry Shum.

Not to mention we know Quinn is indeed older than Rachel. And the whole thing about Quinn and Puck running for Junior Prom Queen and King.

Did you do any research on this or did you just see those 3 with a blue background and jump to conclusions?

Thanks for the update, Frank. And to those of you who let me know about Santana. I’ve heard so many conflicting reports on who is graduating and who isn’t that I don’t know what to believe.

Sorry Frank…no, I didn’t research this. It’s a fun, speculative GLEE post. I promise you no one was hurt in the making 🙂

But I love your GLEE passion!

Also on the “confirmed” list is that Tina will NOT be a senior. That was straight from Ian Brennan’s mouth at the Comic Con panel. Jenna did a big old “YES!” when he said it.

At this point, I wouldn’t consider anyone “confirmed” sophomore/junior/senior. Considering the misinformation that went around all summer, it wouldn’t surprise me to see the writers change their minds about Tina, Santana, or even Rachel/Finn/Kurt. Kath, I agree with you about Quinn and Santana’s continuity–here’s hoping it’s not a pipe dream for their assignment of kids to grades to correspond with the events of the last two years.

I think Finn and Rachel are Sophomores
I think Kurt is a Junior

Please don’t graduate Finn, Kurt or Rachel

Ryan Murphy canont Graduate Finn becuase he is a leader of the New Directions
