BONES: Hart Hanson and Carla Kettner Tease What You Need to Know About Season 7 (Part 2)

September 2, 2011 by

With most shows returning this month, it’s making the fact that certain fan-favorites are starting a little later all the more obvious. We know the wait for BONES is driving you crazy, which is why we’re here to help!

As you may have already seen, we shared some things you need to know about BONES season 7 thanks to teases from creator Hart Hanson and writer Carla Kettner — and now it’s time for part two.

Keep reading for Hanson and Kettner’s take on Daisy/Sweets, Cam, Booth and Brennan’s families and more…

Sweets and Daisy…soulmates?

While the BONES writers played coy about the status of Booth and Brennan’s relationship, Kettner was only too happy to talk about the love life of the other FBI agent and squint.

“Sweets and Daisy, my favorite,” Kettner gushed. “They belong together. These two will be together forever, as far as I’m concerned.”

But with Tina Majorino (Agent Shaw) returning, could Shaw prove to be a worthy opponent for Sweets’ heart?

“No,” Kettner said. “I love Tina, I think she’s fantastic and yes, we’re planning on having her back, but in terms of a threat to Daisy, no. No. Daisy and Sweets belong together…They’re like little puppies and it’s adorable.”

However, Kettner isn’t unaware that some fans can’t stand the duo together. “I love that [it’s split]!” she told me.

What’s up with Cam?

What’s next for Cam, the character Give Me My Remote readers voted as “most in need of a storyline”?

“I love Cam!” Kettner said. “We’re hoping that we can go a little farther with her relationship with Michelle and what’s going on with them, now that [the actress who plays] Michelle is dead [on NIKITA]. I saw [Tiffany Hines (Michelle)] at the NIKITA wrap party and I was like, ‘You’re dead!’ And she was like, ‘I’m ready to come back!'”

On the professional side, Cam will get to embrace all the responsibilities of being the boss when she hires Finn Abernathy, a new squintern for the team.

“Cam’s going to be hiring a new intern in episode two,” Kettner said. “So that’s going to be her putting her neck out, but we feel confident in her ability to make a decision.”

“[Finn]’s a juvenile delinquent who is really smart,” Hanson explained. And while Finn may have some troubles, this is not the long-teased bipolar intern.

Oh, baby!

Despite the fact that fans have mostly missed the first two trimesters of Brennan’s pregnancy, as you may have seen in the clip and promo that Fox released, it doesn’t mean the duo has completely settled into their role of parents-to-be.

“Plenty of freak outs,” Kettner previewed. “We know them so well, it’s like watching our best friends go through this.”

And while Hanson was mum on the gender of the baby — “I know it’s out there. I’m not necessarily saying [what’s out there]’s accurate,” is all he would say — he did concede that they’ve been giving a lot of thought to what Booth and Brennan will name their child.

“Oh tons,” he said. “Tons. Tons. Tons. But I’m not going to tell you the name, because it will tell you the sex of the baby. I’m not going to tell you how the baby is born, because it is born. I didn’t even want to let people know [it would be] — I wanted them to worry the baby wouldn’t be born. I just want people to tune in to find these things out.”

(Thank you, BONES executive producer Stephen Nathan for spilling those particular beans post-finale so fans don’t have to worry.)

We are family…

Now that Booth and Brennan are having a baby, will the show be digging into their complicated individual family dynamics or bringing other family members on?

“Yes, of course, on some level that we haven’t quite decided,” Kettner said. “I know we’ll have Max back this year, but the important dynamic is between Booth and Brennan and looking into the future. We will be dealing with some of his family dynamic.”

But if you were hoping to get a glimpse of either of Booth’s parents meeting Brennan and their baby, it seems like that’s still up in the air…for now.

“[Booth’s] Grandpa will come back,” Kettner teased. And no, they haven’t forgotten that Brennan is still keeping a secret for Pops. “We’ll see where that goes. It’s still early.”

Speaking of grandparents, as observant fans may remember, Brennan mentioned early in the series that she was in the foster system after her parents disappeared until her grandfather got her out. But since that episode, there hasn’t been any acknowledgment of him (Brennan has also since said that she didn’t know her grandparents).

When I talked with Hanson at Fox’s summer TCA party in 2010, he told me, “We have one huge hole in the series. A huge hole that I can push everything else to make sense, but there’s one thing [missing] and every once in a while you hit on it and other people hit on it and I just wait and hope it goes by in case I ever come up with a great way to ever explain it. We might come up with a way to fix it…but there’s one big bonehead move that is totally my fault.”

With that carrot dangling out there, at the 2011 summer TCA party, I asked whether Brennan’s grandfather would be brought up again now that she was starting her own family and Hanson admitted that was the mistake the show made.

“Maybe [we’ll see him],” he said. “Brennan’s grandfather is the mistake [we made]. It’s the goof that I have two little ideas of how to make it not a goof, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it.”

What do you think? Are you Team Swaisy? Want to see Brennan or Booth’s family make an appearance?

Ugh I was really hoping for Sweets and Daisy to be over. But as long as I don’t have to see them too often I should be fine.

  2. Liz on September 2nd, 2011 6:27 pm

I have no interest in Swaisy, Daisy is a total waste of airtime. Not interested in more family for Booth, give me more Cam substance stories and Max.

  3. AngelMoonGirl on September 2nd, 2011 7:27 pm

I’m meh about Daisy/Sweets- sometimes they’re cute, and sometimes they’re too much. As for the return of family, count me in with a big fat YES. Family arcs are some of the best on Bones; I absolutely love the relationship between Brennan and Max so hopefully we see much more of him. I also adore Pops and hope Bones integrates Brennan’s promise into the storyline.

Anyone else thinking the birth and the new baddie are going to intersect somehow? That would make for GREAT drama and I think I’d just die of happiness if Booth had to deliver their child alone.

  4. Janet on September 2nd, 2011 8:30 pm

Sure, throw in more B&B family, but there’s more to mine with whom we’ve already met. How about expanding on the unacknowledged relationship that has developed between Booth and Max. I’ve enjoyed every season thus far, so I’ll trust the writers to keep us entertained and often frustrated. Keeps it fun.

  5. Karina on September 2nd, 2011 8:41 pm

Ugh… I was hoping Daisy and Sweets were over! I REALLY REALLY don’t like her, I agree “she’s a huge waste of time”! She’s no good for sweets!!! I was actually hoping they would kill her off!

  6. Nina on September 2nd, 2011 10:51 pm

I too am thinking the new baddie and baby being born are going to intersect, I’m actually hoping they will. I really wan’t to see some great scenes between B&B when shes having to baby. It would be awesome if she went into labour and it was just her and booth, but I’m really excited for season 7

  7. Sharon on September 2nd, 2011 11:19 pm

I don’t like the Sweets and Daisy drama either – I don’t care for either one of them. Sorry everyone but I don’t much like Cam either. I’ve never liked the “I’m the boss; I’m in charge”, attitude.

Would love to see Booth deliver their baby in his FBI SUV, with help on the way, of course.

I hope the baby is a girl, a little mini-Brennan, and a cute name for her: Lauren Christine Brennan-Booth. After Dr. Lauren Eames from The Doctor in the Photo and Christine for Brennan’s mom.

  8. workaholic888 on September 3rd, 2011 2:10 am

Sweets and Daisy are a “meh” for me too. They’re WEIRD. Like weird WEIRD. They’re much much cooler as an individual by themselves.

More Cam please!! DEFINITELY more Max!!! and DEFINITELY tons of B/B moments!! And also…I’m very eager to see this new baddie!

  9. Gail on September 3rd, 2011 12:35 pm

I would like to learn more about Booth’s parents. He has spoken of them on occasion, but has not said if they died or if not, where they live. I think good actors to play Booth’s parents would be: Father Booth-Dan Lauria (the father on Wonder Years) and Mother Booth-Mary Jo Deschanel (Emily and Zooey’s real mother). Would be interesting…

  10. MaryT on September 3rd, 2011 12:51 pm

Bones has developed into a Soap Opera…… come on….. with all the love
affairs going on…. when will anyone have time to solve a crime.

I will give Bones a few weeks… but if really becomes a love/comedy weekly
show. I am gone and I bet most people over the age of consent.

  11. Jen on September 3rd, 2011 1:18 pm

I was surprised to read that a writer thinks Sweets & Daisy are cute. I thought they were supposed to be annoying and the scripts were purposely made for them to appear that way.

Daisy is annoying just being herself, but when she’s with Sweets… It’s like nails on a chalkboard. Ugh! I would still like to see some funny Agent Shaw and Sweets scenes.

  12. Jen on September 3rd, 2011 1:23 pm

MaryT… After the horrible S6 that I almost didn’t make it through, I’m absolutely looking forward to the comedy returning to the show. Comedy and chemistry was what I missed last season. It didn’t look very much like the Bones show I learned to love. In S7, it looks like the center is going to hold after all, so the cases will be the main theme of the show once again.

  13. El on September 3rd, 2011 3:28 pm

I agree with Mary T. Last season was a soap. For me the spark is now gone with B & B so I only look forward to the cases, like they were in earlier seasons. They need to get a balance with the comedy, especially with Brennan pregnant. I just dont want all of the pregnancy humor. Last season with Angela was enough. I want Brilliant Brennan back and not just using her as the comic relief or using humor to show how “different” she is. I want Brennan to have friends again and I want to See Brennan and Angela scenes again.

After last season I really did not want B & B together and would have preferred they go with other people. BUt we get what we get. I am a huge ED/Brennan fan so I will DVR and watch later. Unfortunately, the past season or so really ended my love of the show. I think this will be the last season so I will tune in at times to keep up to see how it ends. The new serial killer sounds good, but it sounds like it will be very Booth centered and I would have preferred Brennan centered. I realize ED is working less with pregnancy and the baby, but I really felt her “light” last season and I dont expect any more this season. The other characters just don’t do it for me anymore.

Sweets and Daisy are OK in small amounts. Would have rather seen TM with Sweets. Also hope they don’t go overboard with Hogela and the baby. Get back to them all in the lab and interacting as friends and associates.

  14. Angie on September 3rd, 2011 9:12 pm

I want to see more of the love between Booth and Brennan and I think they should be together. It’s been long enough for these two. If they don’t end up together now, all of the previous shows that pushed their sexual chemistry will not only not make sense, but anger alot of fans(including me). The consensus I have seen from most fans/other fansites agree with them being together. Come on Hart, show us some Brennan and Booth lovin (preferably with them both being conscious and not in some tumor-induced coma).

  15. Sarah on September 4th, 2011 5:32 am

I also agree with both Mary T and El on the direction Bones is taking in season
    7.
What is the reason for all the love affairs going on? It can only be that the
show is now targeting a younger-much younger audience. Anyone over 25 yo
will quickly get bored with all the she loves him…. he loves her……
    babies etc.

I wonder if season 7 will be the last for Bones. The show has run its course
and really has no place to go. I read from another poster that a good way
to end the show….. Brennan and Booth getting married in front of all
    the other cast members.
Just like the final episode of Magnum PI.

  16. Grace on September 4th, 2011 6:19 pm

I think that as long as they maintain Booth and Brennan as their defined individual personalities while acknowledging that they are a couple then the show will maintain its edge.
As for Daisy and Sweets, I think they are good together, I find that Sweets tones down her crazy in a way but they shouldn’t dedicate too much screen time to them.

  17. Val on September 5th, 2011 12:31 pm

I agree with most of what has been written on here (though I don’t agree with the whole “give-me-what-i-want-or-i’ll-stop-watching” attitude that has been plaguing most of the Bones comments since last year). Season 6 WAS a waste, the show just didn’t feel like it used to be. Nevertheless, we are moving on to season 7 and I’m curious and excited to see what happens.

I’m definitely up for some more Booth/Breenan family stuff (learn more about their past, especially Booth’s since not much has been said on it) and the people who mentioned Booth delivering the baby is a pretty awesome idea! And I do secretly hope for tiny loving moments between the two. I mean, aren’t they supposed to be a couple or not?

I’m definetely counting down the days until the beginning of the season. Hopefully, all the characters will be back to their former selfs. Fingers crossed!

  18. Sally on September 6th, 2011 12:45 pm

I want so much to see some real ‘couple’ moments between Booth and Brennan, we didn’t even get to see them kiss. “We’re having a baby’ should have ended with him taking her in his arms. Not necessarily sex scenes, but c’mon, something beyond that teasing, almost-kissing stuff. I expect him to be very protective of her now, not wanting her poking around in swamps, etc. Am I wrong? Let me hear them say ‘I love you.’ Please.

  19. S.H. on September 7th, 2011 12:50 pm

I had no idea ANY ONE liked Daisy. Sweets has grown on me, but she is just an annoying character who makes my head hurt when she talks.

I would love to see Booth’s very attractive brother return to both congratulate and perhaps create a bit of tension with his brother.

I think given B&B’s individual personality quirks, even with a baby we can still expect, if the writing is up to it, to see much of the same type of interactions and strife.

  20. Katie on September 7th, 2011 12:55 pm

If Agent Shaw isn’t causing trouble between sweets and daisy (which is a shame as I dont are for daisy) I hope she won’t be for any other couples such as booth and bones.

I think the baby will be a girl, mist likely born in a very serious situation…maybe in the lab during lock down or in booths car, heck maybe when bones has been kidnapped.

Can’t wait to see more booth and Brennan family members:(

I think booth and bones relationship will be rocky but I hope we see some fluffy romantic bits with both saying ‘I love you’.

  21. Bonnie C. on September 7th, 2011 1:02 pm

In addition to finding out about the childhoods of all the characters, more than anything, I would like to see a return of Zack Addy. His storyline is still in limbo. It would also be fantastic if Stephen Fry made a return visit as Dr. Gordon Wyatt.

  22. rookie on September 7th, 2011 1:02 pm

I love the show and it is the only one I watch consistently. I have my daughter and granddaughter hooked on it. I enjoy Sweets and Daisy, even though Brennen and Booth have the comedy pact down, these two bring in the comedy as well and, at my age, 65, I want to laugh, to be drawn into what I am watching.

  23. toni on September 7th, 2011 1:04 pm

Well I personally can not wait for Bones to return with ALL the regular cast.Yes I agree with some of the comments regarding Sweets and Daisy. They both can be annoying at times. But all and all they are a good fit together and bring some silliness to show.I agree with comment about Cam pushing her “boss” title to much.We all know she’s the so called boss.Don’t push it in our faces. With that said I kinda of like her and would like to see her go farther with relationship and daughter story lines. Those are good. Love grandpa Booth and love Max definitly hope to see alot more of them.I personally don’t think this is Bones last season just because they’re together doesn’t mean the chemistry between them when they work will be gone. They are so different it will make for great story lines. And with the new baddie coming that’s gonna be interesting.Like the call on the baddie and baby being intersecting.Writer’s are great and they will do wonders with Bones. Am soooo looking for new season to begin.Go BONES ☺☺

  24. Evie on September 7th, 2011 1:09 pm

Thanks for a good show so far.
But I agree with Mary T — I don’t want another soap opera! And it could head in that direction if the writers and producers aren’t careful. Characters are important to build, along with their interaction — but please not at the expense of good crime solving stories!
Right now Bones is one of my favorite shows. But that can change for a lot of us if it goes too “soapy”.

  25. Britt on September 7th, 2011 1:15 pm

Interesting. Daisy and Sweets, they deserve each other and they deserve to be happy. I want to see more of Cam. What happened to the Doctor she was seeing? He seemed like a pretty decent guy and she was finally in love. The other “squinterns” are also pretty good. Now, as far as Angela and Hodgins are concerned, they will be new parents and will be going thru what ALL new parents go thru. Sleepless nights, constant changing of diapers, feeding, crying, and everything else that comes with a newborn. Oh yeah, they both have full time jobs at the Jeffersonian and work together! Now it’s B & B’s turn to go thru the same thing. Remember way back when Brennan said she could handle everything on her own? Will Booth let her? He is very protective of when she isn’t/wasn’t pregnant, now that she is, he’ll be even more. Oh, and now Parker has a baby brother/sister. How will that impact the family dynamics. Soooo many changes. Lots to write about it.

  26. Jessica Davison on September 7th, 2011 1:22 pm

LOVE LOVE LOVE SWEETS!!! CAN’T STAND DAISY!!! Please give him a new love interest. Maybe a new female squint with a minor in psychology, just to give Sweets a run for his money. She should be just as intellectual as sweets and young looking as well. 🙂 just leave Daisy in a foreign country with no possible way of returning. Looking forward to the b.b baby, boy or girl 🙂 Really want to see Bones have a motherly side to her, even though she lost her mother very young. I believe deep down she has a mothers love 🙂

  27. Deborahc on September 7th, 2011 1:22 pm

Carla Gallo needs to decide if she wants to be Daisy on Bones or Annie on Men of a Certain Age. It is bogus that she plays both of those characters…neither of them very well IMO. Sweets deserves better than her!

  28. Alicia on September 7th, 2011 1:42 pm

I agree with the Daisy/Sweets comments. I love Sweets. He has his won geeky/wierd quirks to bring to the show. Daisy is sooo annoying. How she tries to make everything about her. As for season 6. Well I enjoyed it but didn’t love it. I loved seeing Hodgins freakout about the baby. I also loved seeing Brennan open herself up to Booth. Even though he turned her down. She did something a lot of us thought she would never do. It would be great to see more Booth family. Wonder what it would be like if they put his dad in there. Since his dad was abusive and an alcholic. I still remain a loyal Bones fan. Even with the not-so-good season 6. Every show has ups and downs. That’s the natural order of things. I hope that season 7 won’t be the last. That would just kill me. As for B&B’s “love you’s” yes I would like to see that as well. I think that Bren will be back out fighting crime as soon as she has the baby. Its what she does. Her way of dealing with the bad in the world. Her way of showing how she appreciates life.

  29. Kelly on September 7th, 2011 1:56 pm

I LOVE Sweets & Daisy! I know they are annoying & overly cute with one another but that’s what is so great about them. If Sweets wasn’t in a relationship like that, it wouldn’t be believable. Daisy is awesomely annoying & totally perfect for the role.

Cam – We totally have enough back story & story line on her. I like the boyfriend. The daughter can become more of a role now since her other role is dead. I don’t think we need to make mountains out of molehills here.

B&B – totally need to see more “real life” stuff happening between them now. The good & the bad. The fights & the wonderful moments. I love the preview… it’s definitely perfectly fitting.

H&A – Love them, can’t wait to see them as parents. I would like to see a bit more of H the way he used to be. A bit more “passionate” about the weird things.

The cases – OMG so pumped.

  30. Stephanie Wilson on September 7th, 2011 2:01 pm

I am excited for this upcoming season! My friends and I can’t wait for it to start! Daisy does get on my nerves but she is okay especially with Sweets. I do want to see more of Pops Booth and even Jared Booth. I think an interesting twist would be to have Brennan’s grandparents make an appearance. I have to agree with one of the other people’s posts about Zac Addy coming back. I think it would be interesting to have him in some of the episodes again. All in all, I love the show and can’t wait for it to start!

  31. Mae on September 7th, 2011 2:33 pm

I think Daisy is annoying but I do really like the relationship between her and Sweets 🙂 More family isn’t a big deal but I like Max and ‘pops’ also Brennan’s cousin who spoke in quotes was funny, I’d like to see her again especially since her and Brennan kinda had a moment. I’m not sure why they feel the need to add another intern…there’s just no replace besides give the current interns more screen time! As for the baby…I would’ve been happier to wait a year for Bones and have no pregnancy written-in and see what the writers were going to do before Emily’s pregnancy.

  32. Betty Underwood on September 7th, 2011 2:34 pm

    Ok,have read the comments
of other viewers don’t agree on some of their views.Booth over the years has changed Brennen she has a personality now and more caring person about things. She went by everything she learned in books and new nothing of real life. As Booth helped her about real life he started caring more for her.The baby is a great thing but, I believe their will be a diference in how to raise baby. But, the co stars are just important and help really make the show too. As far as Sweets and Daisey are a little like Booth and Brennen. Sweets has been trying to help change Daisey they are a cute couple and they are younger so,their hormones are in action. As far as Cam she took on responsibility of taking on as a single parent which assume is going away to collage so,it is time for her to get a life too.The comment about cam being the boss she is but, even being the boss she lets them just about do anything they want too. They all have jobs to do and they do their jobs that is what is important. What helps make the show is their jobs and their personel lives.Every show I have watched I have not been disappointed and I truely hope this is not the last season. No matter what they are people like us just smarter but, even smart people have personel lives. It would be great to watch not only crimes solved but,see how their personel lives progress on the show. I have watched people come and go on the show but, always the main charaters stay and that is what Bones is about their jobs and being friends and their for each other. To me you are one of the best shows on T.V. and I hope you will be on along time. Can’t wait for the new season and many more their after.

  33. Jeannie Hoffman on September 7th, 2011 3:11 pm

I am 82 years old and have watched and own the Bones DVD’s from the first year. I am so excited that B&B are pregnant even though it is an oops and they have been fighting falling in love all of those years. You can’t be as close with someone as many years as they have and not fall in love, so let the fun begin. True love never runs smooth, so there are a lot of possibilities for drama along with their job. It is a remarkable cast and even though I could do without Daisy, she does have her place. Brennen needs looking after as she is so naive. No street smarts there, so she really needs Booth to take care of her even though it irritates her sometimes.

  34. Michael on September 7th, 2011 3:27 pm

What about Jared and Padma? Are we going to have a episode whith their wedding?

  35. cindy on September 7th, 2011 3:37 pm

I am anxious to see how Parker interacts with what is going on between Booth and Brennan and the new baby.
also to the person who said Daisy needs to choose between Bones and Men of a Certain Age, that show is done, it’s been cancelled.
I can’t wait for the new season of Bones.

  36. katela8 on September 7th, 2011 3:46 pm

Daisy annoyed me at first, but she’s grown on me. I too think they are like puppies and it would be a shame to separate them at this point. We can’t choose who people love (unless we are the writers, of course). As for family, I’m more interested in Booth’s than Brennan’s, honestly. There has already been so much about Brennan’s family that more is unnecessary to me. I am glad they will be bringing Max back though. Learning more about Booth’s family would be great. I assumed his parents were dead, so if they aren’t I’d like to see how his character might grow by bringing them onto the scene. As for the comment earlier about how this show is becoming a soap opera, that’s so untrue. In soap operas people’s relationships are terribly unrealistic and crazy. Bones is about family, has always been about family, and hopefully will always be about family…as well as juicy crimes. The writers have done an excellent job of combining the two, which is why I love this show even more than Criminal Minds or CSI (also two of my favs)!

  37. Lhyzz on September 7th, 2011 4:00 pm

I like Daisy, I love Sweets, I have no opinion of Sweets/Daisy.

What really needs to happen in this show? STOP PUTTING CAR COMMERCIALS IN IT. Seriously, if it’s out of the control of the exec producers, then Fox and other networks that do this (USA, A&E, to name a few) just have to wise up and STOP IT. It’s terrible. It distracts from the show, it makes it cheap, cheesy, and angers the audience. It makes me not want to watch. Someone needs to slap these boneheaded network execs and tell them their audiences are NOT THAT STUPID.

  38. Michelle on September 7th, 2011 4:52 pm

I have to say that I am looking forward to seeing Booth’s grandfather back on, he was adorable. Daisy and Sweets are something else but I think that is the only who could probably put up with sweets! lol. I love max, I would like to see more of Bones’s brother on the show too. I have a feeling that they might name the baby after bone’s mother. She loved her so much. I also would like to see more of Booth’s brother and son on the show more too. Booth’s dad took off and never came back so it was left at that. I can’t wait for season 7 to start!

  39. jessie on September 7th, 2011 5:18 pm

I was sooo disappointed to miss the conception. I really really hope to see flash backs of that night I waited how many seasons for, at the edge of my chair sometimes laying on the floor closer to the tv! Please let it all work out with them. The chemistry is amazing. Hoping now that its all out the show don’t go horse s***!

  40. janet rapoza on September 7th, 2011 5:43 pm

I love sweets…did u know that Sen John Kerry has an assistant that could be his clone ? I asked him if he was moonlighting…..

  41. Judy Metcalf on September 7th, 2011 8:39 pm

I heard that Bones and Booth were having a baby but I am nothing but confused. I must have missed the episode where they crossed that line that they always carefully stayed on either side of. Did it just happen once or what?

  42. Greg on September 7th, 2011 11:10 pm

If I were one of the writers I’d be tempted to have this new serial killer kill off their baby. It would make for great drama in all sorts of ways. The team would be on the case, and of course Brennan would have to do the autopsy herself. It’s evil, I know, but it would be good.

  43. Brea on September 8th, 2011 12:14 am

Yea, Im still pissed that we didnt get to see Booth and Brennan kiss and then APPARENTLY go FARTHER than that!!! GOOOOOOSH!!! We had been waiting AGES for something to freaking happen and then they skip it all and go straight to pregnancy without even showing us the romance of how the pregnancy occurred…..???? Im mad. Why in the world would they not show them kiss?? Say sweet things to one another??? I would like to see how they went from comforting each other to pregnancy! I think we deserve that much.

  44. Emily on September 8th, 2011 6:40 am

I wonder how a brief return of SULLY will be addressed by the writers…..
This could be provide a conflict for Brennan since Sully was her true love.
The closest Brennan said that she had feelings for Booth was in The Doc
in the Photo… Her getting pregnant was an accident. Getting into bed was
    just casual sex….
Her affection for Sully was genuine and she was able to express it to others.

  45. EllieB on September 8th, 2011 12:09 pm

In a strange way I agree with Emily… wonder if that is her real name…
But having Sully return for a few episodes in order to rekindle the romance
    with Brennan would be interesting.
How would Brennan react to having the man who swept her off her feet return
    after 4 years.
What would Booth say or do…..
Brennan would see nothing wrong with going out for dinner with him even
    being pregnant.
I do not recall her ever saying that she loved or had strong chemical reaction
for Booth. Only that she and him (Booth) would be comparable for sex.
She did express feelings for Sully…. so which one is her true love.
    I say it is Sully.

  46. LindaM on September 8th, 2011 5:45 pm

Sully, the Bones character is fantastic on Warehouse 13, leave him there. Booth and Bones need to maintain their individual personalities. Bones has said she doesn’t believe man necessarily is meant to be a monagamous species, she shouldn’t be ready to marry or live with Booth easily. I think Cam’s personality is a good fit. She lets the others know they are able to use creativity as long as they realize she’s responsible for what takes place in the Smithsonian and has ‘the need to know ‘. I love this show for the cases and the crews drama adds the spice. My teenagers don’t miss a show either.

  47. Carol C on September 8th, 2011 6:42 pm

NOVEMBER????????? Oh my!!! I don’t know if I can make it till November……. And a shorter season?????? If I don’t get my full BONES hit….. Well, I can’t be held responsible for what can happen……

OH….. And Sweets and Daisy are the PERFECT couple. Would love to see them married and with a baby before the series ends.

  48. Jillian on September 8th, 2011 6:43 pm

Booth and Brennan are meant to be. Sully is never going to come back.

  49. julia on September 8th, 2011 7:58 pm

i want Zach back. I dont care how they do it, just want him back. He reminded so many people of their own little brothers because of the relationship between he and brennan. she is his big sister.

  50. Jillian on September 8th, 2011 8:27 pm

She told Booth that she wanted to be with him…and it was more than just sex in the “Blackout.” In my opinion…Brennan was still impervious in season 2 when she was with Sully. She might have seemed like she had genuine feelings for him…but she still said that what she was feeling was based on a chemical reaction in her brain. She wouldn’t say that what she was feeling was love. She was afraid. She’s afraid of being emotionally attached to someone…and they hurt or abandoned again. Every time she gets into an emotional situation, she turns to logic, her safe house. Logic explains everything. Logic can explain those chemical reactions you feel when you are deeply physically attracted to someone and when you have hot sex. She wasn’t able to let go of that fear for Sully. She’s like that with all her boyfriends….even Michael the douche bag. She really did have feelings for him. She even suggested getting him a job at the Jeff…so he could permanently stay with her…but she wouldn’t call that love…because she was too afraid. She is willing to give that fear up for Booth. I think because of who Booth is to her. He’s her best friend. He’s her partner. They have stood over life and death with each other. She trusts him enough that he won’t ever abandoned her. I also think…because she has felt somethings about Booth that she has never felt with any guy before. I think that all her other relationships have been primarily based on sexual attraction…which can be explained by logical…but she has felt so somethings for Booth that can’t be explained by logic and that, especially in season six, made that so much harder for to to avoid and just say that those are just chemical reactions in her brain. Brennan did have feelings for Sully…and maybe it might be different for her now if she and Booth weren’t together and Sully did comeback…but Booth is Brennan’s true love. Plus…I don’t even want to go there about how David Boreanaz is so much more attractive compared to Eddie McClintock. IMO.

I totally want them to have Brennan tell Booth about what Pops told her about his dad…and of course, I want them to explain what happened with Hannah. That’s never going to happen…but at least it seems like Hart really does really that he made a mistake. “There’s one big bonehead move that is totally my fault.” Did I read that right??

  51. Hinda on September 8th, 2011 9:13 pm

Greg who wants the baby dead is a bit sick!. Forgive him. Daisy has ruined the name daisy. She has made it synonymous with dizzy and ding-a-ling. I have grown to like Sweets. I can’t cut it with Daisy. I think that Booth and Bones have always had a thing for each other. Booth dreams of her in a coma. He only turned to Hannah when he felt so rejected by Bones. Brennan liked Sully brcause she didn’t feel that she had to have a real commitment to him and he had no real commitment to her. No real love there. Sexual attraction. However, Booth wants a wife and a family. If Bones shy away from this the show will have to do a heck of a lot to make it believable. They should have a private wedding with only Angela and Hodgins present. Give Cam a life. Right now her only life IS the Jeffersonian. The worst moment of any show was the killing of Nigel-Murray. I loved him. If they had to kill someone off it should have been one of the nameless people who just walk on and off stage. If they wanted impact, then Daisy. Of course I would not want that to traumatize poor lil Sweets. So it couldn’t have been Daisy. I am older so I do not need to see sex displayed. I prefer the old films where something was left to the imagination. Is it true that the younger generation must have everything spelled out or displayed so that they “get it?’ I hope not.

  52. Steph on September 8th, 2011 11:43 pm

I can’t wait for the new season. Bones is my favorite TV show, and I’ve been waiting for Booth and Brennan to get together since the first season. To those who think the pregnancy was shocking, it’s true that it wasn’t entirely certain that they had sex that night in Booth’s apartment until they brought up the pregnancy, but it was certainly hinted at and made logical sense. As to those who think Brennen and Booth aren’t really in love, I don’t think that anyone should need to point out the hundreds of times since the very beginning of the series that the interactions and events between characters have pointed to that very conclusion. Things do not need to be specifically stated in words for them to be true; just open your eyes a little.

I am very excited to see relationships continue to develop between all of the characters, and have no doubt that Bones will continue to stick to its crime-solving nature, complete with forensic science and disgusting corpses. 🙂

  53. Joan on September 9th, 2011 6:34 am

Ellie has a good point. Sully was the only person who Bones had and expressed feelings for.
Her feelings for Booth are really not known despite all the hype from some fans.
Remember the scene from the Doctor in the Photo when she spoke to Booth. She did not
    want to “have any regrets”
While when Sully asked her to go away with him. She said that logically it would the right
thing to do and that she wanted to go. But the writers seemed to suggest that she did not
go away and leave her profession for a year.

Having Sully return for a few episodes will be very interesting now that she is pregnant
with Booths baby. It is also interesting that she seemed interested in some way connected
with Booth…. First there was Sully than it was Hacker and most recently it was Walter from
    the Finder.
It doe’s not say a lot about how she considers Booth’s feelings with regard to other men.

  54. Joan on September 9th, 2011 7:49 am

I forget to include Jared in then list of men Brennan was interested in…..
The writers did end the relationships but the Brennan charterer thought nothing
of either sleeping with them or considering sleeping with them.
The feelings of Booth was not important for her.

  55. Katt on September 9th, 2011 1:06 pm

I can’t stand the Daisy character. The writer who likes them together is nuts. Kill Daisy off and let Sweets move on. I’d love to see more Max, Jared, Booth’s grandfather, and interaction with the lab and having Booth actually GO into the lab. I know David Boreanaz has said he hates doing lab scenes, which is one of the reason there has been so few of them. And Bones needs to stop being a robot. And please, can we now have some normal, couple interaction with them and actually see them hugging and kissing and having sex? Six years of waiting is enough! And I too, think it’s the last season. Let it go out with a bang!

  56. Judie on September 9th, 2011 5:42 pm

Hmmm … well, obviously, since FOX has stated “time-and-time-again” how HAPPY they are with Bones and their ratings, I would highly doubt this to be their last season.
Honestly IMO, it would only be their last one, if Deschanel decided she wants to put her “actress career” ON HOLD after this season, and devote her time to “fully and completely” raising her newborn baby. THAT would be “”THE DECISION”” that ends Bones, as the show would NOT continue without her. We already know that, as this season has CUT DOWN on episodes because Deschanel will not be available for a ‘full’ season, since she will be taking ‘maternity leave’ … which, of course, is understandable! But, since there has NOT been any other news of Deschanel not returning to the show, I think Bones will have “at least” another ‘one or possibly two’ more seasons after this seventh one. After that … I believe the show could end, as Bones will have “played out” it’s course.

Just looking forward to seeing Booth & Brennan FINALLY “in a relationship” as a couple! I mean, after SIX SEASONS of ‘will-they’ or ‘won’t they’ … wasn’t that NO DOUBT a “long-enough” wait??? Seriously, IT’S TIME for Booth & Brennan to be together! Thank Goodness, Hanson and Co. woke up and SAW the lightbulb “idea” GO ON in their heads!! Or, in other words … they ‘got a clue/hint’ … it SHOULD HAPPEN for our B&B!! Now, just KEEP THEM TOGETHER through it all, Hanson … and please, don’t even think of ‘breaking them up’ sometime “down-the-road” after Bones has their baby. Really, everything WILL BE FINE with Booth & Brennan PERMANENTLY together! So remember, don’t forget that ‘later on’ … it’s time for you to ‘take note’ NOW!

    BOOTH & BRENNAN FOREVER! …… A–M–E–N!

  57. Chiny on September 9th, 2011 5:55 pm

I really never liked daisy and sweets..But Bones and Booths family showing up Im all for it i cant wait to hear max say FINALLY!!! I’M SUPER EXCITED TO SEE THE NEW SERIES AND I BET THOSE 6 EPISODES ARE GOING TO BE THE BEST!!

  58. E on September 9th, 2011 6:56 pm

B & B earlier seasons had a lot of chemistry. Since season 5 not so much. I saw very little chemistry, other than friendship, in Season 6. Their one “dream” sex scene was just awkward to me. I know there are lots of shippers out there who see differently but I just don’t see that chemistry any more.

I really enjoyed Brennan with Sully and here scenes with him were not awkward. I think they just waited too long for B & B and that they are just more like best friends. When I look at that scene when she came to him,
that is all I see is a strong friendship. Creating a child from “grief sex” is not where I thought this show would take a couple who once had so much chemistry.

The show can still be entertaining but for me that lightening in a bottle is just gone. I think that too much Sweets and Booth is not a good thing. I hope they balance all of the characters with Emily being “light” first half of season.
IMO, that is what really went wrong in Season 6. Not enough Squints in the first half of season and too much sadness and Brennan bashing. I want the relationships between all of the characters back again.

I am really surprised HH admitted making an error. After his awful remarks to a fan at Paley, warranted or not, as a professional he should have kept his cool. I think it was terrible for all of the women in the room. I sincerely hope that he apologized to the audience for his outburst. I think that it just changed my opinion of him and has tainted my love of the show. Sad.

  59. Patti on September 9th, 2011 7:08 pm

I’m all for Daisy and Sweets. I have to admit Sweets was annoying at first, but he grew on me. Daisy still gets on my nerves, but they do seem suited to one another. I’m all for Cam having more of a story line. Since her and Booth broke up her story line has been rather limited. Oh and before I forget… bring back ZOOEYYYYYYYYYY. That one episode was one big teaser and then bing it’s over. I know she’s starting in her own TV show, but it’s FOX too. So she shouldn’t be too far away to grab her for an episode or two… That would be the number one thing to me… that and Zac coming back. I felt bad the other young guy died last season, but I was hoping it was to make room for Zacaroni to come back!!

  60. Jillian on September 9th, 2011 8:30 pm

I hope that in season 7…we get more of a confirmation about Brennan’s feelings for Booth. She chooses to explain love and relationships based on logic…and how it just a chemical reaction in her brain. Only physical. She will probably never just say “I love and I want to be with you” to any guy. Maybe since now that she and Booth will be a couple in season 7…and hopefully, we will see them kiss and actively pursue each other…and get a better confirmation of Brennan’s feelings for Booth.

  61. Tori on September 10th, 2011 8:59 am

I don’t understand like they say the made a mistake in Bones but why don’t they show her grandfather and they are really distant and don’t relate well and don’t talk much not really knowing much about eachother.

  62. Ashlee on September 10th, 2011 12:27 pm

I like daisy okay, but i looove sweets though hes not my favorite. Also booth and Brennan are soul mates and it was all i could do not to squeal with joy when i found out that her and booth were having a baby. Even though it only happened because Vincent died. I mean really?!?!?! Vincent was my favorite sqintern the they just had to kill him off! Like why couldn’t they kill Wendell instead?!?!?!?!?! And also i hope to see more happening between Hodgins and Angela’s dad. But if they ever kill off Hodgins then i will hunt them down and blow their heads off. i mean like they already put Zack in the looney bin and then he told sweets that it wasn’t him and he wont let sweets tell anyone.! I was really hoping that Hodgins and Angela’s baby would be a girl.i really did. then like they brought in Hannah and i was like jumping for joy when she and booth broke up i was ecstatic! Its like when you get your first puppy or something.well i should probably let you people rest your eyes. but just remember you kill Hodgins i will kill you!

  65. Anniemae on September 11th, 2011 6:26 am

Daisy and Sweets make for good comedy – let’s just let them stay together, but just not too much of them in an episode.

Bones has absolutely declared love for Booth, when she told him that she wanted him to be with her, not with Hannah. She showed so much more emotion in that scene than she ever did with Sully. I never thought he was a good match for her – he never understood her need to be the best at what she does. He only wanted to take her away from all of that, while Booth has supported her in what she wants to do.

So what if we didn’t see every detail of the night they were together? It made for good drama at the time – did they or didn’t they? – and now we know. Having more family show up to see the baby will be fun, just as seeing how Bones manages to be a mother will be fun. Maybe she and Angela will share a nanny who will be a fun character, too!

But, the show is not over, not yet. As long as there are crazy serial killers out there, there will be plenty of good story lines for the show to use.

But I have to agree – bring Zach back! His story was left up in the air, and it would be awesome to see some closure brought to that, not to mention great to have the character back!

  66. Peggy Kellar on September 11th, 2011 7:17 am

    I love Sweets……….can’t stand Daisy!!
I absolutely love this show……my favorite!! I can’t wait to see what happens next! I love Booth & Bones….Hodgens and Angela!! I love Max & Brennan…I wish they’d do more with his character.

I would really love to see the show bring Zach back….he was awesome!

  67. Carol on September 11th, 2011 7:26 am

    AnnieMae

When did Brennan say she wanted to be with Booth? She said in the Dr. in the
Photo that she did not any regrets.
She expressed more affection for Sully in 4 episodes than she has for Booth
    in 6 years.
Grief sex doe’s not count as affection….. face it what kind of person have
sex after watching a co worker being shot and dying in front of them.
The baby was an accident and doe’s not make a couple…. only a baby born
to a FBI agent and a rich smart mother.

  68. jj on September 11th, 2011 1:10 pm

I can’t stand Daisy. It’s me like that for me since Day 1. She is super annoying.

  69. Jillian on September 11th, 2011 2:48 pm

@Carol Brennan said that she wanted to be with Booth in the episode “The Blackout in the Blizzard” in season six. She said suggested that maybe one day that can try to be together when she is gets rid of all her “imperviousness” and Booth is no longer mad. She suggested that…not Booth. Yes…the writers confirmed that they will be a couple in season 7. Haven’t you been reading any spoilers??

  70. Jillian on September 11th, 2011 3:09 pm

…and what was she feeling when she hit that bounty hunter when she wouldn’t tell her where Booth was? What was she feeling when she wen to rescue Booth from the gravedigger…and when she hit Diggy with the suitcase when she wouldn’t tell her where Booth was? What was she feeling went with him into the operating room when he had to have his brain tumor taken out? Re watch the show. Brennan does have feelings for Booth…and people could have argued that she only loved him as just a friend (…I kind of thought that too before season six)….but now that she has said that she wants to be with Booth, I say she is in love with him. Yes…she hasn’t actually said “I love you” to Booth and she probably never will. That’s not really like her to just sum up…and just blurt out her feelings like that…but hopefully, we will get a better confirmation of how Brennan feels for Booth next season…because HH&SN have repeatedly said that they will be a couple next season…and the sides even suggest this too-sleep overs, making breakfast together, house hunting etc.

I seriously need to stop posting on this blog. I’m just so Bones deprived. Season 7 won’t start until Nov. 3rd. No spoilers. All the forums are completely dead. This is seriously the only Bones action that’s going on right now.

  71. Sara on September 11th, 2011 6:43 pm

I cant wait for S7 to come on.Bones is literally my favorite show and Im only 12.haha.I agree Daisy and Sweets can be VERY annoying at times but they are perfect for eachother.!

  72. Anne Littlewolf on September 11th, 2011 9:44 pm

BONES—one of the few intelligent shows around. I agree that Daisy can be a “pistil” and I think Sweets deserves someone better—someone who taps into his mischievous side, not just the sexual side.
Hodgins—I’d run off with him any day of the week (lol), he’s great, he’s charming in a funny sort of loveable, nubby-teddy bear way—Angela–if she gets any prettier I don’t know where she’ll put it. They’ll make great parents since they’re a great couple. I really get a giggle out of Hodgins and Angela’s dad. Talk about some family dynamics there!
Booth & Bones—match made in Heaven—just hope she can take on some of his gentler characteristics and be the sweet person she is inside behind the wall of hurt. Cool twist having her pregnant—-gives Booth a chance to show her that families CAN happen.
Cam et al: Cam’s gorgeous, smart and capable. Doesn’t need to push the “boss” thing too much. Those who rule do it best by ruling least—and so far that’s what she does—she’s there but not in everyone’s face–keeps track of the “the kids” and keeps everyone working up to speed. Glad she’s got Michelle.

Over all, can’t fuss a bit about the series at all. The writing is well done, keeps you thinking right along, the characters are fully fleshed and interact with a chemistry you rarely see in modern television and I do wish it would be on soon. I realize Emily has mother things to do, we all empathize with her new role in life, but she has another family too, and we love her —

Oh yeah, one more note—great to see Angela the Artist being a valued member of society. As an artist I really appreciate that her skills have a place and a value to her team–often the arts are shoved aside as inconsequential but Angela’s character is a vital part and it’s nice to be included in the “real world” when you have a different kind of a talent from being a scientist, an administrator, a cop, etc., THANKS A MILLION TIMES OVER FOR THAT!

    Till we meet again at the Jeffersonian. . . . . . . .

  73. Anne Littlewolf on September 11th, 2011 9:46 pm

ps: check out my website if you want: http://www.mountainwestart.com I really meant what I said about the artist being an important part of society. Glad “Bones” is on to that concept.

  74. Megs on September 16th, 2011 3:31 pm

Wow, I expected to find someone on here who liked Daisy, but I guess not. She has her moments of being okay, but honestly, at the end of season 5, I was glad she and Sweets were breaking up. I can’t figure out what he sees in her anyway. She drives me crazy! And Sweets is so… normal by comparison. Yay!! I am super excited!!!!

  75. Beah 54 on September 16th, 2011 3:55 pm

Okay, I am with most of you on the Daisy Sweets thing. I like Sweets a lot–and I would love to see a plot that was more than groping and Daisy’s am I a feminist or not/ indecision. Daisy would be lucky to have a guy like Sweets. I also liked it when Sweets was playing piano and being creative instead of just young man on the totem pole. I agree, get him a hot babe that is respected and adores him in a way the rest of us can ‘get’. And yeah, send Daisy off somewhere, don’t kill her–too much sadness–send her off and bring the new woman in pronto.
I am a huge Bones fan, but last year almost lost me. Somehow with that new gal in, the magic between Bones and Booth broke. Having a baby is no guarantee for chemistry because it’s a focus on a the infant’s needs.
Save the life and death drama for their BONES cases-not whether Hodgins and Angela’s (or anyone else’s baby for that matter) is a train wreck from the git go. We need some relief from all the heavy drama gore of dead bodies!
Cam looks hot and wears these amazing clothes-and all she can do is flirt with her X, Booth or fend off her dad cuz she’s not married–come on! Sure she can be into being a mom to her adopted daughter but she surely has a life!
I would like to see more ‘staff’ get togethers and adventures and secret swapping as a means of character development.
Speaking of that, why did you guys kill off Nigel Murray? He was an interesting sort of annoyance! He and Cam were great. Wendell was also an amazing character-not with Angela-just a good guy from a humble background-really added some heart to the cast.
Booth is the jock and great dad to his young son; but what is it to be a sniper and have killed A LOT people who deserved it?
There seems to be a lot there to develop.

I know many tune in for all the blood and gore and who done it–it’s the basic cast back story that I enjoy most. Thanks for all the fun- I hope this season rocks and flows well-no more pregnant ladies in the line of fire!!

  76. Bev on September 17th, 2011 2:24 am

Ok I agree with most of the comments about Daisy and Sweets, but I know a couple just like that and they are happy – good to make “feel good” story lines.

Booth and Brennan have taken their sweet time to do the dirty deed, and I think it was very smart of the writers to not let us see exactly what happened, but I am disapointed that the conversation the next day between Angela and Bones wasnt a bit more in depth. I mean thats what happens in real life – you dont witness the event but you sure as hell hear about it in detail with your mates soon after! Just a comment like “He was everything I was expecting” would have been such a good teaser!

I am looking forward to the next season to see how the writers have combined good crime stories with the personal stuff. I like the way they do that because thats what working in a high pressure job is like. You live in each others pockets so things tend to be shared a bit more (ie stories not physical stuff) and you know your work mates pretty well. I should know – I work in an operating theatre and with the intensity of the job, hearing how your mates relationships are going keeps things fun. Or maybe I’m just weird LOL

I hope they bring Zack back. Surely its time now? There seem to be so many sqinterns, why do they need to introduce more?

I’d also like the B&B relationship to be a bit more real – like the odd cuddle in a corridore or pinch on the bum. Or if they walked in to the office a bit dishevled like they’d been doing something before they came in. Dont have to have the actual acts played out on the screen all the time, but just enough to let the audience know they are together and enjoying each other.

The show is my favorite and I think the writers are doing an amazing job. We’re all tonguing for more – just look at all the comments!

I was supposed to be spoiler free re Bones but I’ve caved for this one article.

All I can say is…I hate Daisy.I hate Daisy.I hate Daisy.I hate Daisy.I hate Daisy.

BUT….I love Sweets. He needs a girl that isn’t self-centered or manipulative!

And this is possibly the 1st time I’ve ever read HH admit to screwing up (and the grandfather thing is a screw up of epic proportions!) I think I need a sit down after that! LOL

Now back on my Bones spoiler free wagon!

  78. Christina Fidler on September 19th, 2011 12:04 am

i have a fix for Hart’s grandparent mistake. You say the grandpa that resued her was her mom’s dad(or dad’s dad) then the grandparents she didn’t know where her dad’s(or her moms) however you want to right that up, but would be a great way to work through that goof up. Although i am sure he already thought of that. I LOVE this show and well, anything i can do to help! lol

I know the other characters will have the best story lines as in years past and season 7 will not disappoint.

Whatever others might say, I think Sweets and Daisy are perfect together, and supply entertaining comic moments. I also love Angela and Hodgins together…wonderful chemistry. Okay, I love ALL of the characters. They are all so well written and well-acted. I do NOT want to see Hannah came back. The character was likable and well-done, but I’ve always been a member of the Booth-and-Brennan-belong together school, and at this point I’d rather not see anything serious come between them. I’d love to see Gordon Gordon again, and Zach, and the psychic “Avalon” though. Actually, there are a number of bit characters I’d love to see again, and I believe the writers and actors have created the dynamic between Booth and Brennan in such a way that their unique chemistry can survive them becoming a couple when other shows bombed after getting the stars together. I love this show. It’s my all-time favorite. Bravo!

Look people Bones and Booth should be together. They are the perfect couple because they are so different that is what makes them work so well. Bones isn’t the marrying type but I believe for Booth she would marry him because a) She loves him, b) she would do anything for him, she would proberbly even die for him because they are so close.

Sweets and Daisy they are perfect together there mey be times when every one is like ‘god can Daisy just get lost’ but it’s how she is so how cares really. We do need more Brennan and Angela secnes because they need to come back together but not just as a mothers club typy of thing that would suck.

We also need more Bones and Booth family.
